Six bedroom cottage with stunning view of lake
BLOCKED FOR NOW PLS CHECK LATER - The 6 bedroom NAGY family cottage (aka Islandview Chalet on GPS) sits above beautiful Kapikog Lake with a fantastic view from the generous deck, living room, dining room and kitchen. Perfect for enjoying nature and outdoor life. Decks and docks, campfire pit, swimming, fishing, fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans, whole-house water filtration, satellite TV, audio equipment. No hardwired Wi-Fi on site, but the internet works if you create your own hot spot.
From the deck, there are stairs that take you down to the campfire pit, and to the docks along the lakeshore. The drop is too steep for an accessibility ramp, so those with limited mobility should only choose this cottage if you are content to remain up top on the largest deck. The water is deep right from the rocks or docks at the shoreline, which makes for excellent swimming, with adult supervision needed for children. A canoe, some kayaks and a paddle boat are usually available for use by visitors. Please wear life jackets.
Inside, the cottage offers an open concept and cathedral ceiling all done in natural pine. The large, bright fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher) also looks out over the water. There are 3 bedrooms on the upper floor with a 3-piece bath, plus 3 bedrooms on the main floor with a 2-piece bath. One bedroom on the main floor also has a 2-piece ensuite bath. In total 7 beds for 12 people. Bedrooms have ceiling fans and window blinds. Below this, the basement level is not finished. On this level you will find a washer & dryer, beverage refrigerator, recreational items, life jackets and a walkout to the lake.
This is a genuine "family cottage" and is a great place for those looking to enjoy nature and outdoor life. It is clean and comfortable with whole-house water filtration for drinking, but it may not be seen as especially luxurious. Satellite television for sport and audio equipment are available in the living room. There is no hardwired Wi-Fi on site, but the internet works if you create your own hot spot. It can be spotty at times, especially if numerous visitors compete for the available cell service.
LOCATION: About 2 hours north of Toronto. Just 20 minutes to the small village of Mac Tier for groceries, LCBO, hardware, etc. The last kilometer of the road to the cottage is uneven and rather rugged, so low riding vehicles must proceed slowly. The cottage is surrounded by dense wild forests and this lake is more peaceful and less commercial than some of the nearby Muskoka lakes. There are fewer large boats and it is perhaps better for canoeing, kayaking and fishing.
We charge extra for pets because we must clean more for our clients who are allergic to pets. Please do not allow pets in bedrooms. If you can agree to keep your pet in the basement overnight and outside during the day the pet cleaning premium charge will not apply. Do not leave pets of any kind outside overnight. There are wild animals in the forests surrounding the cottage, so it could be unsafe for your pet to be left outside overnight.
