Centrally located to Camp Lejeune, MCAS, restaurants, shopping and beaches - 20 miles either north or south of my space in Jacksonville. Whether your trip is for business or pleasure, make sure to keep an eye out for the gator in the backyard creek. Kayakers be mindful if you decide to cruise to the New River as gators have been sighted along that journey. Plenty of sidewalks if you must get a run/walk in before your day begins. And finally enjoy a cup of coffee relaxing on the covered porch.
We needed a quick get away for a couple days. It was a smooth and easy stay from arrival until departure! Extra attention was paid in every detail-from cooling of unit-snacks on counter-loaded coffee bar-to abundant amenities for bath! Comfortable beds are important and it met our expectations. The duck nest was a wonderful surprise! The creek view was very relaxing. Thank you for hosting!
Amazing communication, located off the main road, quiet, super clean, near a gas station for midnight snacks, couldn't ask for a better host or place to stay
The perfect little place! Super clean, had everything we needed and more. Very close to a lot of great restaurants & the food store. Perfect location to visit our Marine who was just a quick drive down the road! Highly recommend!
Dena was wonderful and helpful and so attentive to any needs we had and the place was like home. We were so comfortable. House was decorated so cute and cozy. We definately plan to return whenever we come to the area.
It was great. Everything you needed was within 5 to 10 minute drive. Dena is so sweet and very helpful. My son is a Marine and stationed near by. Just got to visit him and stayed here. Everytime I Visit from now on I'll try to get this place first.
My husband and I were on a eBay adventure and decided to take a mini vacation. We booked this property, so glad we did!! We enjoyed our time here. Her home was immaculate. Dena was a wonderful host, we also had the pleasure of meeting her and her little friend Missy. Her home was very well stocked. We just loved the space! Canât wait to take a trip back. You will love it there! Thanks
Dina was a pleasure to work with. I was attending a workshop nearby. An unexpected turn of events left me with an open day to myself. Dina was kind, helpful and thoughtful with her suggestions of nearby must sees and places to eat. I took her advice and had a wonderful day!
We absolutely loved this rental. The beautiful river going through the backyard was picturesque and the ability to see the wildlife coming and going was lovely. Our host was so welcoming and efficient. Her booklet was so informative and appreciated. I loved her attention to detail and the genuine want to give us the perfect stay. She had the house stocked full of all the things you forget to pack when you go on trips which came in handy and saved us a couple trips to the store. We ended up seeing her and having a wonderful conversation with her and she gave us some great recommendations on places to eat while we were out and about in each nearby town we were visiting. She made our stay so wonderful and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. When I come back I will make sure we stay here again. Thank you!
Lovely duplex. Location was great for visiting family. Easy to get to bases. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Coffee pods, condiments, and some snacks were a nice treat we havenât often seen when renting. We will definitely stay again if we travel to the area!
Hi!!! I tend to work a lot and when Iâm not working I try to travel as much as possible. I began staying in airBNBs years ago. I absolutely loved meeting the hosts and hearing their story. Now ~ the opportunity for me to provide a comfortable and simple space to welcome others is truly dreamy. I hope you choose Gators & Coffee when you come to Jacksonville NC.
While on the west coast I experienced AirBNB and VRBO stays and found I enjoyed them verse hotels. The space "Gators & Coffee" has been completely renovated. My hope is that others who enjoy contributing to the local economy as well as experiencing different travel spaces will choose my space to visit the eastern side of NC. Now I know the biggest question is ~ why Gators & Coffee? I did not believe those that told me alligators existed in my back yard body of water. In the past year, I've experienced hearing the gator splashing and seeing the top of a gator travel in that very water. I did some research and realize they are more nocturnal creatures and that makes sense because I did hear and see him in the later evening and early morning. In the early mornings, I have an egret that will visit occasionally which I've included in the pictures. During the summer months, you can catch turtles bathing in the sun when the water levels are lower. Coffee seems to be an obvious one, but I found not all AirBNB and VRBO hosts included a means to make a cup of coffee. My decision to make a full coffee bar is in part of those experiences.
All amenities are provided for guests while they are staying at Gators & Coffee. I generally try to stock snacks and ALWAYS some form of chocolate treat. Please be mindful that I'm not a hotel and don't have unlimited resources. I only ask you choose not to take unused items as souvenirs or because they have been provided. Also, I want to encourage all guests to respect the space and tidy up along the way so I can continue to keep the cleaning fees at a minimum.
