Notre maison d'hôtes Garden Home est une belle maison de deux chambres et demie de deux chambres et demie sur West 3rd Avenue. Faites une courte promenade pour dîner en ville, ou profitez de la vaste piste qui longe les rives de l'Animas à quelques pâtés de maisons de la maison. Ou simplement s'asseoir sur le porche classique donnant sur ce quartier calme de la vieille ville bordée d'arbres immenses. Sentez-vous bien de prendre des vacances vertes ... cette maison a un système solaire PV de 4. 5 KW fournissant 100% de l'électricité utilisée sur la propriété!

Le Garden Home est décoré dans un style de jardin serein avec un mobilier de haute qualité et des œuvres d'art originales. Il ya une cuisinière à gaz complète et un four, un lave-vaisselle, beaucoup de vaisselle et des casseroles pour préparer un repas de fête pour votre famille. Toutes les petites choses comme le café, l'huile et les épices sont là pour vous faire sentir à la maison. Aussi une laveuse et sécheuse de taille complète pour votre utilisation avec des fournitures fournies. Deux belles chambres à l'étage ont des matelas queen haut de gamme pour une nuit de sommeil confortable. Il y a des couettes et beaucoup de serviettes et de draps supplémentaires.

Vos enfants et vos chiens s'amuseront en explorant le sentier de la nature à l'arrière de la colline, clôturé en toute sécurité.

Le Purgatory (DMR) est à 30 minutes en voiture, où vous pourrez skier parmi les meilleurs du Colorado. Ou simplement rester dans et faire du pop-corn et profiter de nos meubles en cuir confortables, DVD Collection, TV LCD avec Dish et une petite bibliothèque de grands livres, et bien sûr sans fil Internet haute vitesse. Le rez-de-chaussée a des plafonds voûtés et des planchers de tuiles d'ardoise avec la chaleur du plancher pour votre confort d'hiver. La salle à manger a une porte vitrée qui s'ouvre sur une cour privée couverte d'un treillis, un endroit idéal pour un dîner romantique al fresco.

Nous sommes locaux et vivons à Durango depuis longtemps. Nous pouvons donc vous aider à planifier vos vacances au centre-ville de Durango.

This place was GORGEOUS!! It felt like a garden dream house. The space created such warmth, comfort and respite for our family. We slept with the windows open. The weather was perfect. Amazing grill and kitchen for cooking as a family. Holly was so responsive and helpful. Thank you for the incredible memories!!

Unique and Homey Stay

We had an amazing stay here in Durango for 3 nights- the house is fully stocked with anything you could need (including basic condiments and spices in the kitchen which is a huge plus). Holly was very welcoming and made the check-in process a breeze. Would absolutely recommend staying here, I hope to again in the future!

The home was beautiful, great location and had everything we could’ve needed. There were people working on the exterior of the home when we arrived but once we notified the host she was quick to offer a solution and amend things for us to ensure a great stay! We would definitely stay here again when in Durango!

Not your average “Grandma’s House”

We stayed at this beautiful historic home in Durango for nearly three weeks and truly enjoyed our time. The house has a quiet charm and a comforting, nostalgic feel—like a place that’s been loved for generations.Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and it had just the right mix of character and comfort. It reminded us of a family home you look forward to visiting year after year—peaceful, inviting, and easy to settle into.We’re grateful for the experience and would gladly return. A lovely place to stay.

Cute house great front porch

Home was close to downtown and the grocer. Comfortable beds in each room. Enjoyed reading on the front porch, in a rocking chair. Nice big TV which seated most of us. We spent all our days touring nearby National Parks/Monuments/Museums, so location was perfect.

A home away from home

We really felt this way the last couple times we stayed here. My family is so comfortable here, we can ride bikes to animas trail and downtown. It's a super cozy yet ample room my family of 4. We love sitting on the front porch!

Attention to Detail

Two friends, my wife and I and our dogs stayed at Casa Durango for Memorial Day weekend to visit family and participate in the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic events in and around town. The house is warm, comfortable, clean and met every need. From the convenient location to the proximity to my sister’s place, the lovely poppies in the yard in full bloom, vibrant houseplants, beautiful artwork hanging on the walls, inviting spaces and cozy privacy with high ceilings and lots of light, modern appliances blended seamlessly with mountain Victorian charm. This place has it all. The attention to detail made it a very comfortable and luxurious experience that I would recommend to anyone planning a visit to Durango.

Family weekend away

Our family of 4 came out for a quick weekend retreat to relax and enjoy Durango’s activities. This house was the perfect location for both downtown restaurants and shops as well as the hot springs. The neighborhood was quiet, the house was roomy and the yard was perfect for letting our dogs out in the cold alone. We will definitely come back!

Such a great stay — truly dog‑friendly and really well done

We spent a long weekend here visiting family in Durango and couldn’t have asked for a better place. The house was peaceful, super clean, and had everything we needed. It’s clear a lot of thought went into making it comfortable and easy to settle into.The fenced yard was perfect for my two dogs — so nice not to have to stress about that. And I really appreciated the separate entrance from the bedroom so I could let them in and out easily. Small detail, but it made a big difference.The kitchen was well-stocked, everything worked, and the layout just made sense. It didn’t feel like a generic rental — it actually felt like a home.Huge thank you to the owners — they were incredibly responsive and kind throughout our stay, which made everything that much smoother. It’s hard to find a truly nice place that also welcomes dogs, not just “allows” them. This one absolutely delivered. We’d love to come back.

Home away from Home

This property had everything we could want. Close walking proximity to downtown Durango, all the cooking essentials, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, everything basically provided. All you need to bring is yourself and a sense of adventure. We truly enjoyed sitting on the front porch each morning having our coffee, taking in the fresh air. The covered patio with table and grill offered a nice outside escape, then you discover a 2nd patio up a flight of stairs. The time of year (Feb) wasn't the best time to see the garden plants, but you could imagine how beautiful it would be when everything was in full bloom! Great house - loved spending time there.

Wonderful property

Perfect home for two couple with bathrooms for each bedroom and plenty of indoor and outdoor living space on the main level. Great location in Durango easily walkable to downtown over a gorgeous swinging bridge. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Garden Home!

The Garden Home was clean and neat. Everything we needed was there. The neighborhood was quiet and enjoyable for walks. The location was close to everything. Overall, a great experience!

Charming House, Easy Walking Distance

Exactly what we were looking for! This was close to Purgatory ski resort (30 min), and it was also central enough in town that we could walk to some breweries and restaurants. Our dogs liked walking down to the river. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with supplies, and the home was cozy and welcoming. We hope to be back!

Great House

The property was wonderful. It’s a little outdated and needs a bit of sprucing up, but it was clean and very functional. The bed in the master was very comfortable. It actually has three bedrooms, not two. We appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms and in the house as we know, Durango can get hot sometimes. It’s a little bit of a walk to a downtown, but some of our group had no problem with it. The host was wonderful to work with. She was very accommodating to our needs.

Great home backyard needs work

Clean home, nice neighborhood. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the backyard. Our dog struggled on the hillside/slope that is the backyard. She got many pokes and scrapes from the overgrowth on the hill. Owner did say they are getting the backyard landscaped soon. Would not return with our dog.

Great Stay with family over Christmas

We enjoyed our stay in Durango at the Garden Home over Christmas 2024. The house is very well appointed. It's 3 bedrooms, one Master with a King bed and an attached bathroom - very small shower and no tub and then next to the Master - two bedrooms - both with Queens and a bathroom with shower/tub. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals. It took us a bit of time to figure out the heating situation so ask Holly if you need tips. I will say - the bed in the master was very firm. I realize mattresses are very personal so this is just a note so you are aware. We brought our large dogs (both 85 pounds each) and they loved the backyard but keep in mind, it is very steep with levels and not sturdy as the rocks kept sliding down as the dogs were climbing. I mention this only to say if you are looking for a flat fenced in yard - this not it. It's about a mile walk to main street...we did it multiple times a day. It's also pretty close to some trails. The shops on main street are cute and we loved Durango Coffee, Chimayo, Carvers Brewery and the Himalayan Kitchen. We wanted to try James Ranch (not on Main) but ran out of time. Holly is a great host and available to answer questions.

! Review of another of the renters listings in Durango !

I was contacted by the owner that the property was going to be worked on and if we wanted to shift to another of their properties in Durango, Casa Luna. VrBo will not let me review the place we stayed. It's a bit farther out of town (~10m) but an amazing place. Short version: 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, hide-a-bed. tons of space for visiting and eating. The Casa Luna portion is the ground floor that can support a large family or two families staying at one time. It is a nice place, clean and setup well. The extra drive out of town it worth it for the stars. Amazing night and day views of farm country. This property will definitely be added to my families list of favorites in the area. My kids are stompers they LOVE the sound of their little feet hitting the floor... so it's worth mentioning that it is a raised floor so I'm sure the guests above us heard my stompers. We heard them (foot steps, not voices). It's not loud, very similar to an apartment volume. Google maps got us there without problem; If you are visual kind of driver it's probably worth getting there or, at least stopping by in the day time. So if you come in at night you are more familiar with the drive ways.

Great location close to everything

Very nice stay. The house has a well stocked kitchen, mini splits for staying comfortable, and comfy beds. Close to downtown while off the main road means quiet mornings on the porch.

Location to downtown Durango, the River Trail, the library, and the Recreation Center. This is the best neighborhood in Durango!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Quiet old-town neighborhood that is super safe and close to the river trail and downtown. This is a gorgeous house, very family and pet friendly, and the back yard is super private, and now totally fenced for dogs and kids. Also I love how there is an outdoor arbored patio right off the kitchen for indoor/outdoor meals and entertaining. Great Weber BBQ. The beds are new and amazingly comfortable with super nice sheets and great down blankets. Beautiful house, lots of light, great place for a family to enjoy Durango.
