For sure, this is only about our stay in the winter. Don't use this review as input to a summer stay.
Home is a lovely home with great views and well equipped and stocked for multiple families. The house had humidifiers, a booster seat, PUH-lenty of kitchenware, extra blankets, spices, and much more. Nice welcoming gifts of coffee and bourbon from the homeowner. Not sure we were for want of anything.
There were a few things we think would've helped our stay a bit. 1) Even though Breckenridge is at 9100' elevation, the house is at 9800'. While not a big difference, it did make us a bit more sensitive to elevation/altitude issues. Fortunately, we had brought oxygen with us. 2) Unexpectedly, we had 24"-30" of snow mid-week and while the house book says the plow driver will come with at least 4" of snowfall, we finally saw the snow plow driver after the storm was over and 30" later. Fortunately, the long driveway had enough of a slope that our six grandchildren under the age of six could sled down the driveway. 3) The home is radiant heat rather than forced air. Understandable in the dry desert climate of Colorado but the house seemed to struggle with maintaining temps at the thermostat levels (thermostats in every room), occasionally 2-3 degrees off setting and slow to adjust. Prop rep and homeowner in great communication working w/the radiant heat issues.
House looks like a stunning place for a summer stay. Just be more diligent about preps if a winter stay.
