Blue Haven Cottage, walking distance to the beaches along the Bay. Pet Friendly
This recently remodeled 2 bedroom home is located within walking distance to beaches along Delaware Bay and the Cape May South Park, Within minutes to the beaches of Wildwood and historic Cape May, and plenty of outdoor space with a fenced in yard, new deck, fire pit and outdoor shower. Perfect getaway home with modern amenities.
This was our 2nd stay at this cute little cottage. Itâs within perfect driving distance to Cape May, Wildwood and Sunset beaches, without having to deal with the heavy traffic from vacationers. We again very much enjoyed our stay at this cottage and would highly recommend!
Great place to stay if you don't want to be in the 4th of July crowds. The area has nice beaches, we went to Higbee - there is no entry fee and they allow dogs. Getting to Cape May by the ocean is about a 25 minute drive. There is decent parking available when you get there and lots to see and do!The house is lovely for four people. The back yard is perfect for you and your pets to enjoy. We had a great time and would consider going back.
We arrived rather late and were very pleasantly suprised to see that the porch light was on welcoming us when we arrived. The house was very clean and well set up there was a coffee maker a frother, a french press and an electric kettle for all your needs. We found that the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils and everything you might need to cook a meal. The bed rooms were very cozy and well set up with extra blankets and pillows. The living and dining area was great with plenty of room for 4 adults and a dog it was nice to sit at a table for dinner after staying in hotels and not having a table to dine at. The front porch was amazing with 2 rockers and a table we would sit out on and have our coffee every morning. The back yard was a true gem. There was a little pollinator garden in the back corner of the yard that attracted so many butterflys and dragonflys, The fire pit and grill were the toppers to our stay. We made smores and sat around the fire. The location was perfect. Far enough away from the hustle bustle but not to far away from the things we wanted to do. We loved going town to the bay with out dog and exploring while helping horseshoe crabs get.back into the water. This cottage was a perfect place for us, the decor was spot on for what i expect a sea shore cottage would look like. Perfect.place for mak8ng dreams come true.
We very much enjoyed staying at this little cottage. Itâs very close to Cape May, Wildwood, shopping and places to eat. The host provided everything including extra toothbrushes which was great because I had forgotten mine. Super cute fenced in backyard with plenty of places to sit and relax and also a fire pit. Would definitely love to stay here again next year during our annual beach week!
This house is well situated close to Cape May and Wildwood but on a quiet street away from traffic and noise. The house is very well kept and clean. Very nice attention to details. Highly recommended.
The house is recently renovated, very well kept and comfortable for four people. It has everything you need for a short or extended stay.
It is about 15-20 minutes from Cape May proper, the zoo and other attractions. But otherwise, weâll gladly stay there again!
Everything was as listed. It was an easy process with having access to the property. The house was clean and had everything needed to enjoy the trip. The hosts communicated everything needed as needed. Lovely yard area.
I have absolutely no complaints about our stay at this little house. It is located directly between Wildwood and Cape May, about 15-20 minutes either way. The neighborhood is quiet which was what we were looking for. The house is clean, the decor is so cute, plenty of towels and all the amenities we needed. Best of all we could bring our dog and he loved the fenced in yard. I will definitely be recommending to others. Thank you for everything!
We loved it. We just thought the beach referred to in the listing were the cape May beaches so we drove 1o miles each day to that beach on beach st cape May. It was no biggie!
We loved our stay at the cottage. It was perfect for a family of 3 and a small dog. Just the right amount of space and amenities for our family, and a beautifully appointed home!
The owners took care to include little details that made a big difference - like toiletries in the bathroom, laundry detergent, coffee, tea, etc. The house itself was well furnished with quality items. Joe and Tracey made our check-in and checkout seamless, and it was one of the least stressful bookings weâve had. Our dog absolutely loved the fenced in backyard, too!
Cozy and very comfortable cottage. The beds are Divine ! Had almost everything we needed, except extra TP which we discovered at 2 AM. Trip to Wawa completed we were back on track. Location is not the prettiest with some inconsiderate (junk in yard and loud cars) neighbors and a hot walk on blacktop to reach the bay. All in all a nice stay away from reality for a weekend. Super easy check in and out and spotlessly clean.
Love this little property! Itâs cute, renovated and clean! We stayed last year and thought it was perfect for us(me, my wife, son and his friend) but it got even better this year! New shower with good pressure, a completely fenced yard and a new ground level composite deck! The flowers on the deck boxes were âso gorgeousâ according to my wife! There was a new fire pit area with chairs surrounding it. Plenty of outdoor seating! The outdoor shower was renovated too! Itâs about 15 mins from wildwood and cape May but we donât like being in the hustle and bustle all the time. Thank you for having us and our dog. I hope we have the opportunity to visit many times in the future!
We loved this little house, even though we were basically only there to sleep. My husband, 2 young adult sons, and I spent a long weekend in Cape May County visiting family and spending the days on the beach in Avalon and spending the evenings going to breweries and distilleries as our youngest just turned 21. A good time was had by all! The outdoor shower was handy when all four of us needed to shower⊠we could split taking turns in both showers rather than just waiting for everyone to use the indoor one. The beds were comfy (and our oldest reports that the sofa was comfy, as well). Well appointed kitchen. Lots of safety lights. Nice, beach-themed decore. While we didnât use it, there is an awesome back deck area. For our purpose, the house was perfect and I would stay again in a heartbeat.
House nice - Bay not within walking distance with dogs
House was lovely we wanted for nothing within the house plenty of toiletries , kitchen accessories and pillows galore . Beds were very comfortable.
We were surprised to see 2 ring cameras one by the front door and one by the back door gave us an idea of the neighborhood. House is on a âno outletâ street that does not have access to the Bay and was poorly lit at night. It was a hassle to put the dogs in the car and drive the distance to the bay. You could not walk the dogs along the busy Main Street . I do wish my message was answered in June by the host when I asked about access to the Bay for the dogs. We like to do one vacation with our dogs and enjoy walking them along the Bay. We made the most of it . Cape May was up to 30 mins away in traffic and Wildwood was 15 mins .
The Blue Haven Cottage was just lovely; it had the "beachy-feel" my family of 4 was looking for. The rooms were beautifully decorated with a turtle-theme and the outdoor space was relaxing. The outdoor shower, fenced in yard, and lighting throughout and around the house were definitely a plus. There wasn't a dishwasher, but it had all other appliances you would need and want. The beds were very comfortable and the showers/bathrooms were updated and adorably decorated. There were plenty of towels and enough toiletries to get started with the trip.
The communication with Joe and Tracey was amazing, and the check-in and check-out process couldn't have been smoother.
It was a little farther from downtown Cape May than I had hoped (20-25 minutes), but was super convenient and close to all the Wildwood Beaches (15 minutes). There were some questionable neighbors, but it didn't take away from our fun or our wonderful experience as a family in this house.
This is a great option, and I would definitely stay here again with my family because of the owners, beautiful house itself, and convenience to the beaches.
Thank you, Joe and Tracey for having us!
We were peasantly suprised when we arrived at the cottage. Everything was better than expected. The exterior looks like it had a recent make over, and the interior was very clean and looked all new. We stayed a week and were comfortable. There rear deck is spacious and was an added plus. There is also an outside shower that was a big time saver. We would stay again.
