The Sapling is a two-bedroom cabin designed for easy living. The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, while the second bedroom offers a queen—an ideal setup for two couples or a long weekend with friends.

Full Kitchen & Dining: Prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen and gather around the dining table for six.

Thoughtful Details: After a day of exploring, wrap yourself in our signature vintage L.L. Bean flannel robes or enjoy the comfort of the bathroom’s towel warmer.

Relaxation: The living area includes high-speed streaming services (and local PBS channels) for when you’re ready to unwind.

The Outdoor Experience
The outdoor space is built for the Benezette lifestyle. We provide a locally-made fire ring with supplied firewood and kindling—perfect for watching the sunset or listening for the elk to bugle in the fall.

Pro-Tip for Travelers: We keep it authentic. While well water is provided for general use, we supply a dedicated spring water dispenser for your drinking needs.

Note: To maintain a peaceful environment for all guests, smoking, pets, parties, and large gatherings are not permitted. Must be 25+ to book.

Everything we needed!

Great place very near the heart of the area. We travel here twice a year for a large-group UTV ride. We have stayed in the area lots and we will be back too this one.

In the Sticks

This property is amazing. We had a great time sitting around the campfire hearing the elk bugle. You can’t get better for proximity to the elk herd. Morgan is a wonderful host.

Neat, Cozy Cabin

The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed the full kitchen for our meals. It was so nice to be close to all the viewing areas and saw elk several times. Only unhandy thing is the neighbors in trailer had music playing almost constantly, which disrupted the quietness on the porch.

Great cabins, great location.

My stay at the Cabins in the Sticks was awesome. The cabins are updated with all the amenities you need to unload your vehicle, and start enjoying your stay. The cabins are just up the road from the Elk visiting center, which is a must, and not far at all from the Elk viewing areas. The town of Benezette is small and quaint with just enough to keep you busy, but not large enough the loose that small town charm. There's great food at the Benezette Hotel, open to the public, with a great gift shop just across the street. A fun place to visit also is the Elk Life gift shop and snack bar. It has an open air vibe and the staff is great. The area is surely worth looking into. Enjoy your stay.

The Sapling, lovingly built by my husband in 2019, is just across the street from the Elk Country Visitor Center and close to many popular trails and elk viewing locations. It sleeps 4 adults and 2 children comfortably in 2 bedrooms.
We love this area due to the wildlife viewing and proximity to the town of Benezette.
