This three bedroom house is located minutes to shopping, restaurants, the train station, and Philadelphia! If you are traveling for work, there is a quiet dedicated workspace and high speed internet! Donât let the age of the home fool you as it was fully renovated in 2022. All of the modern conveniences are provided, but the charm of this craftsman home remains. A very special added touch is the daily visits from deer having lunch in the backyard.
This is a great place to stay in Lansdale. Home was very clean and had plenty of room for several people. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was big with many new furnishings throughout the home. We had a few family members in the area come over for dinner and they loved the place. Its accessible to anything we needed from grocery stores, restaurants, downtown Lansdale ,and, the surrounding Philadelphia area. Communication with the host was excellent. We will definitely stay here again in the future and highly recommend Cottage on Main!
This was our second time to stay there, and it was as great as the first time. Nice and quiet location, yet still close to all of the conveniences in town. Everything is very clean as well.
Our family of 5 enjoyed our four-night stay at this cottage
from 10-24 to 10-28-2024. Members of our family were from SC and Ga. We enjoyed much of the surrounding areas and towns. Thank you to our host, Lori, we extended to us ease and comfort with the booking, and all the necessary communication.
What a fantastic stay! It felt like home the minute we walked in. So comfortable and welcoming. The perfect home away from home to celebrate Thanksgiving all together. Thank you so much!
The Cottage was the perfect place for our family's long weekend. The place was comfy, well equipped and clean! Owners thought of everything. We'll be back.
Our family of 5 stayed for nearly a week in this house while we were searching for a new home of our own. We had everything we needed. There's no laundry, but if you pack with that in mind, it's not an issue. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and an AC strong enough to cool even the upstairs rooms during a heat wave. Great place!
We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant stay. It was super clean and it was a fantastic location. It was nice to be able to go running every day in the 2 nearby parks. And bonus, seeing the sweet little deer family every day!
This property is top notch! It has been newly renovated and is very well appointed with everything a family needs for cooking, sleeping and relaxing. The yard was a great space for my grandchildren to be outside. I highly recommend this property.
Our stay was fantastic!! This home is well appointed with all the necessities - to include a French press AND a bean grinder! Plus all kinds of herbs, spices, and the cookware was great quality - which is NOT always the case in rentals (and we stay in a lot!). We were even able to make a cake to celebrate our daughter's MTB Nationals!
The location was great for our needs and there were several excellent restaurant locations in the area in case you don't to cook in (which again, can't say enough positive things about the kitchen setup!).
Thank you to Lori for our stay!
My family and I stayed here while in town for a family gathering. The location was perfect for our gathering in Norristown and managed to get in to Center City for some sightseeing. The house was very comfortable for 5 adult and a teen. The kitchen was very well equipped and we didnât find a need for anything that wasnât there. While we didn'tâ manage to see the fox there were a lot of deer popping by the back yard for a visit. We wouldnât hesitate to stay here again.
Every amenity for a comfortable stay was supplied. We attended a family funeral in north Philadelphia, and it was an easy drive into the city. The king bed was very comfy. The cute decor, up-to-date appliances, and Firestick TV made everything very pleasant to come âhomeâ to. The entire home was nicely updated and squeaky clean.
Uncomfortable stay due to smoke odor and thermostat issue
When we walked in the door, we were immediately met with the strong smell of cigarette smoke. I suspect this was left by a recent guest, as other reviewers would likely have mentioned it otherwise. The host did offer to send the cleaners back, which was appreciated, but given our two-night stay, we didnât see much pointâespecially since the smell was pervasive.
Upon returning to the house late in the evening, we were shocked to find that the thermostat had been reset to 85 degrees. This made the upstairs bedrooms unbearably warm, and it took hours for the temperature to cool down enough for my kids to sleep comfortably.
This property has a lot of potential, but these two issues significantly impacted our experience. Hopefully, the host can address the smoke odor and thermostat settings to prevent future guests from having a similar experience.
ABOVE and BEYOND - One of the best properties weâve stayed in
We were visiting family in Landsdale and were looking for a cozy, well equipped, clean, modern, with a nice backyard for the kids. We found this cottage and instantly fell in love. We got everything we wanted and more! In addition to everything being clean, fresh, and new, the place was pure magic with the fox family visiting us each day, deer walking around the side of the property, and a huge chubby groundhog who greeted us each morning in the backyard. The owner has thought of everything!!! an amazing coffee and tea bar along with a bar with every glassware needed for cocktails!! Lori is amazing. When she found out we had a one year old crawler/walker⊠she sent baby gates, booster chair, and baby placemats to make our stay even more enjoyable without having to chase our little crawler everywhere to keep her from climbing up or down the stairs. Family and friends who visited were impressed by the propertyâs charm and modern amenities. Above and Beyond is how we felt Lori and team have done with this property. The location is amazing! surrounded by large trees and a park a block away with historic cannons and lots of space to run and play. We went on morning and afternoon strolls around the neighborhood. There are plenty of amazing places to eat nearby and a sweet chapel/church across the street. The neighbors are kind and sweet and the property feels so safe. We will definitely be back every year!
Cozy, cute cottage. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the location, which was close to both city and to King of Prussia Mall. Owner was responsive to requests as well. Thank you!!!
Property was updated, clean, and well appointed. Very cute atmosphere and decor. Property manager was easy to communicate with and attentive. Great place to stay and great location, close to groceries and restaurants.
We were in the area for 2 weeks so wanted a more homely experience than a hotel but with a high standard of comfort. This house was perfect. The owner was very helpful and we could not have asked for more. The train takes about 50 minutes into Philly but we were needing a place specifically north of the city so it served us very well.
We were in town for a family wedding. This was the perfect location for all of our events. We stay at a lot of rentals and this has been one of our favorites. So cute and cozy. All of the amenities we needed and more!! Highly recommend staying here if youâre in the area!!
Welcome to Cottage on Main! We are your hosts Lori and Josh. Josh is a Registered Nurse, and I am a Forensic Psychologist. We have four boys and a busy household. In our downtime, we love to visit new places or travel to familiar spots. When we travel it is difficult to find lodging suitable for a family of six. We frequently stay in vacation homes because hotels are too small and cramped. This is the reason we decided to become hosts ourselves.
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and my family still lives there. We enjoy visiting them several times a year in this beautiful state. When we found Cottage on Main, we fell in love with it and the vision of making it a vacation rental for us, and for others to enjoy. The charm and the history of this 1918 gem fits perfectly for those who appreciate something old but also need updated amenities. Welcome to our cozy cottage that offers both of these things.
