Nestled in a natural wooded wonderland, Ridgetop Cabin features all the creature comforts and conveniences of home. Ridgetop Cabin sits on a rocky ridge above Washington State Park. The ground the cabin sits on is filled with druzy quartz crystal, and perhaps you’ll find one on a stroll or hike. The forested acres are host to a large array of insects, plants, trees, and animals. There are curious butterflies and interesting birds, and somewhere there are morel mushrooms. Whether you are making Ridgetop Cabin your “Show Me Staycation,” or you are just passing through and want a comfortable place to hang your hat, we hope you will stay at Ridgetop Cabin.

Excellent family experience...

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and everything was extremely well stocked and kept. The property was fantastic for a weekend escape. We especially enjoyed the fire pit, fireplace and the trails. Check in was easy and simple. The information provided by the host was thorough. We will absolutely be back.

Very nice cabin

Wonderful Stay

Beautiful quiet location. Cabin was well appointed and stocked. The steep drive was well plowed and salted after the snow fall. Want to come back when it’s warmer and leaves are on the trees.

Wonderful Fall Getaway

My husband and I celebrated his 60th birthday (with our two dogs) at this wonderful property. It felt very remote, yet was easy to get there. Kitchen was well equipped, bed was very comfortable and really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace, since it was chilly. Took a 30-minute drive one day to tour the Bonne Terre Mine, which was really fascinating. Would definitely stay again!

Quiet and beautiful cabin

Cabin is beautiful and the area is super quiet. So peaceful and relaxing. Everything worked, there were no issues with the rental. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Great quiet time in nature for the family

Super cute and cozy cabin in the middle of the woods. Super quiet and private. We enjoyed unplugging and getting outside. We even loved the nature books and local town history books they had. It was close for us to go to Washington State park for a hike and close to De Soto so we could take a drive down the old main streets. This place was Very clean and Well kept. We loved it!

Cabin Weekend

Quiet nice cabin with everything you might need for a getaway. Felt safe with all the security cameras and system. Plenty of lights which are nicely labeled on switches. Plenty of towels and blankets. Collected several nice rocks because they are located everywhere on property. Bring a shovel to help dig bigger ones! Would definitely stay there again. Would recommend taking food to cook there since drive is almost 20 minutes away for food.

A True Cabin in the Woods Experience

From the moment we turned into the solar lighted driveway leading up a hill to the cabin and property, we felt a sense of complete seclusion. The abundance of trees surround you providing ample shade with wide mowed trails. The cabin is equipped with every modern day need from decor, appliances and beds. A front porch overlooks a fire pit and wooded area with a picnic table. The back porch view is a beautiful sunshine filled mowed yard with a persimmon tree. You can build a campfire, enjoy nature or prepare meals for yourself or guests. AC/Heat works great and the beds are very comfortable. Host was very responsive with questions. We plan to return as soon as we possibly can. :)

Special Cabin on beautiful property

This cabin is the best of both worlds-all the comforts of home in a beautifully decorated log cabin setting. Many special touches throughout and the owners were very hospitable and great communicators. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Anniversary Getaway

Beautiful cabin. Close to Washington State Park so we hiked everday. We also went over to Valley View Glades to hike. The cabin is very secluded with a small trail and tons of crystals. It woked out perfectly for us. Highly recommend. trail and tons of crystals

Quiet Getaway

We loved our stay. We wanted to escape the lingering cold of the upper midwest for a few days and loved having warm temperatures to sit on the porch, listen to the birds, and enjoy the glimpses of the hills through the forest. Our kids loved combing the grounds for interesting rocks. The several State Parks within 30 a minutes drive were great for hiking. The cabin is very clean and well-kept. The location is quiet and secluded, tucked away from the main road and on top of a ridge. Everyone in our group had their own space with 2 bedrooms and a pullout couch in an office area, but we were not too spread out so we could still enjoy each other's company.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was beautiful and clean. It was a perfect place for a Dad / Son weekend. We took several walks in the woods with our dog, found lots of interesting rocks and had a relaxing weekend. I would love to bring my daughter for a dad/daughter weekend!

Christmas Getaway

Our family booked this cabin for a few days as a Christmas getaway. The cabin and property were lovely. The cabin was exceptionally clean and very well stocked. The renters go above and beyond with the "extras" in the pantry. How sweet! When we arrived, we spotted an armadillo in the front yard. That was such a fun surprise! This is a great location if you are interested in hiking, which we did. Washington State Park was beautiful. It is also a quick drive from St. Louis, if you want to take advantage of things to do in the city. Thank you for a great family getaway!

Secluded Cabin in the Woods

We were 3 adults looking for a quiet, secluded weekend getaway and this cabin couldn’t have been more perfect for us. The cabin was pristine - clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. It was well appointed with everything we could have possibly needed including all high end kitchen appliances & washer & dryer and everything we would want to cook and serve meals. They even provided us with coffee, tea, some snacks and basic pantry items. We particularly enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace, sitting on the porches and wandering in the woods. Thank you so much for hosting us. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

We are four sisters who came back to our home state of Missouri to renovate and revitalize our father's cabin.

Growing up we went on many road trips as a family. Often we went to places where our dad could take us on cowboy adventures. We went horseback riding fishing and boating. We were often in nature and we stayed in log cabins along the way. However at the time as four little girls we didn't necessarily share all the love of the outdoors with our father. So, we always stayed in a nice place with a bed and bathroom and we never camped further from the backyard porch light!

Now with Ridgetop Cabin we want to emulate that sense of exploration and adventure, and love of nature our dad imparted to us with our sense of comfort fun and indulgence.

We hope our guests enjoy the beauty of Missouri's landscape at Ridgetop Cabin with all the nonessential luxuries of home.
