When we first walked in, it smelled very musty. Then we got used to it, but the clothes that I hung in the master closet smelled like that as they still do the day after we got home!
We have stayed at this property before, and, once again, were very satisfied. The fenced in yard was perfect for our fur baby. Pendleton is a great little town with goid restaurants, nice shops, and a beautiful park.
The house and property were perfect for our stay. We chose this property because they were pet friendly, and our dog enjoyed the fenced in area. Pendleton is a lovely town - restaurants, shops, beautiful park - plus it's close to Indianapolis. Will definitely stay here again.
Our bridal party had an enjoyable stay here with plenty of space and amenities! We enjoyed the outdoor patio and the variety of sleeping arrangements the house has to offer. It's conveniently close to the shops and restaraunts of downtown Pendleton which suited our needs well. I would recommend this space to anyone needing to stay in the area!
Ourstay was lovely. The house and the neighborhood was beautiful. Dawn was awesome and helping us with a little issues. We left the coffee pot on, and I was thoroughly satisfied with our stay at their home.
This is an older house with lots of charm. The room upstairs I could not go up, stairs were too steep for me.
Had a small issue with heat but got it fixed.
Owners are nice! Neighbor is nice! Close to all the city's and Pendleton downtown.
Owners are nice
This residence had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Appreciated the ability to travel with our dogs and have a fenced backyard. Cute town and great place to walk dogs!
Had everthing you'd need. was great for two of us plus accommodated a few days with 6, plenty of spaces to enjoy each other. Host was easy to work with. Rules were clear and not a burden to figure out. Great Stay.
Loved this cute older home! Very clean and updated! It had everything you would need! Loved the back deck for grilling and relaxing! Easy checkin and great communication from the owner. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at this charming old home. It was clean and comfortable with a great front porch. The nieghborhood was quiet and filled with beautiful historic homes.
The property was charming, neat and clean. Plenty of space for group and singular activities. The porch seating was a great morning coffee spot. It's in a nice walking neighborhood, very close to the historic downtown with shops and restaurants and the city park. Nearby, we also enjoyed exploring the Indiana Mounds State Park. The hosts were very responsive to all my inquiries from my initial reservation through the end our stay.
We went up for graduation. Jeff and Dawn were very informative if I had questions and very helpful. As there were 6 of us this house had plenty of room and was clean. Definitely better than a hotel room. Had a great stay and would definitely recommend.
Buddy and I came into town for a concert at Ruoff music center in Noblesville. We booked this home and it was everything we needed. The house is older (built in 1898) and it shows here and there but what do you expect from such an older home? Beds were comfy, sheets were clean, plenty of towels for showers etc. The neighborhood is EXTREMELY quiet and the neighbors we did see were nice. Located far enough from the highway for peace but close enough that you can get to the city in 15/20 minutes.
All in all a great stay and I would have no problem booking here again.
Our stay at Jeff and Dawn's home was exactly as described in the listing â a delightful retreat that exceeded our expectations. The house was impeccably clean and exuded comfort from the moment we walked in.
Interior Comfort:
The interior was spacious yet cozy, with all the basic necessities thoughtfully provided. From the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable bedrooms and spotless bathrooms, every corner of the house was designed with guest comfort in mind.
Attentive Owners:
Jeff and Dawn were excellent hosts, readily available and attentive to any questions we had. Their hospitality added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our stay.
Relaxation and Exploration:
Outside, the home offered ample space for relaxation and the serene atmosphere was perfect for quiet moments.
Charming Neighborhood:
The neighborhood itself was a gem â quaint, quiet, and dotted with charming stores and coffee shops just a short stroll away. Exploring the area felt like discovering hidden treasures, with opportunities to visit unique antique and vintage stores within a short drive.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, Jeff and Dawn's home provided a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and charm. Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway or a base to explore local attractions, this property offers everything you need!
Nestled in a quaint neighborhood, the Brass Elephant offered all the space we needed to feel at home for the week. The couches and beds were very comfortable. The owners, Jeff and Dawn, were incredibly helpful and responsive when the main living room lights werenât working. While the owners were lovely and helpful, the cleaning crew leaves much to be desired. The kitchen cabinets were sticky and lacked a sufficient supply of cleaning products to fulfill our duties as guests. There was food in the refrigerator from the previous guests and the grill had run out of propane. The main areas of the floor were clean, but clumps of residual animal fur had made its way to the corners. The cleaning company claimed there was a pillow and pillowcase missing from one of the bedrooms, so we were charged a fee. We didnât take a pillow or pillowcase, so thatâs really annoying and unfortunate. That said, we understand the position of the homeowners to insist on a charge due to the report from the cleaning crew though I would recommend the homeowners review their expectations of cleanliness with them as I am sure they are investing quite a bit for the service and certainly not getting their moneyâs worth.
We loved our stay at the Brass Elephant. The home was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The front porch was a favorite of our family and the neighborhood was also very nice. We walked to downtown Pendleton and enjoyed a cup of coffee at Falls Perk Coffee House. Hoping to return again soon!
Super cute home with plenty of room for our family of 5 plus 2 pups! We travelled to Pendleton to meet up with extended family over the 4th of July. The main street is a short walk with lots of great shops & restaurants. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs and the back deck was a cozy space to hang out. The 3rd bedroom on the 3rd floor has a steep stairway and gets toasty in the summerâŠbut there is an ac unit that helped a ton! Itâs a good space for kids! The owners checked in with us throughout the trip in case we had any questions. We really enjoyed our visit!
