Charming bungalow - Walk to SunSeekers Resort, the Fishing Pier and Beach

Welcome to our slice of paradise, the waters of Charlotte Harbor. Do you love to fish? This is the place for you! Just a short walk from one of Florida's longest piers and abundance of fish, catch some rays, and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and a night sky perfect for stargazing.

Our home offers a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, with a screened-in patio that allows you to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about insects. Cook your catch on the new barbeque. The house has been recently updated and is equipped with all the amenities you need for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. There is a washer and dryer and iron in our home. You don't even need to bring a toothbrush. Everything is supplied right down to fishing poles! You will find bicycles and helmets for your touring pleasure.

Our vacation property is just a short walk from SunSeekers Resort. Check out Sunseekers are bars, restaurants, and shopping.

Port Charlotte has so many fantastic restaurants and bars with live entertainment nightly!

Our vacation rental property is also a short drive to the vibrant downtown area and the popular shopping destination of Fisherman's Village. Have a drink and sit while you watch the beautiful sunset at Sunset Beach! Not to be missed! Walk or bike and cruise along the Harbor Walk. Free bicycle loaner program (941-637-8326)

At Fisherman's Village, you can hop on one of their many cruises. You may want to choose one or all of the following: Harbor Cruise, Sunset Cruise, and remote beaches in Boca Grande, Cayo Costa, and Cabbage Key. You are sure to see dolphins or manatees swimming by.

Punta Gorda is also known for its excellent restaurants, many of which are located on the waterfront. Some popular options include TTs Tiki Bar, Celtic Ray, Beef of Brady's, Gators (Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda locations) just to name a few, have regular live music acts, Karaoke and wonderful food. Do not miss the wonderful museum's and wildlife preserve. Get up close to Florida's alligators on an airboat ride. You can pick up a boat ride at Peace River Airboat Tours. On the weekends you can always find a festival or two. There is so much to do for adults and family's.

Many beaches, parks allow dogs and excellent daycare near by.

Whether you're looking to spend your days shopping, fishing, golfing, or simply soaking up the sun, our vacation rental property provides the perfect home base for your Punta Gorda getaway.

Wonderful Rental

Very clean, lots of amenities. The rental is spacious and has everything you need to start off and more. Super responsive host. Central to lots of vacationer spots. Will definitely recommend!

Great home, hosts, location

We spent 7 weeks here and had a wonderful time. The home is exceptionally clean. The hosts, Derek and Linda, are very responsive and helpful. We appreciated their generous goodie box and all the supplies that were available. The location is ideal. Our little Shih Tzu enjoyed her walks at the harbor park a block away. We visited near by cities. We played games on the screened in porch. We enjoyed the TV and internet service. We loved this place!

Great place to explore Punta Gorda Area

This is a very comfortable house we rented for a week. Our host was very gracious providing a welcome basket with treats and all kinds of extras. We would like to come back!

Nice stay!

The property is well kept and is only a block from a nice park next to the harbor with a pier and playground. The inside was very clean and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed having breakfast in the screened in porch. The owner has done a marvelous job supplying the items to make your stay enjoyable. The snack and wine basket was a nice surprise. Enjoyed our stay.

Great escape from Pennsylvania.

Cottage was as described on VRBO. Owner, Derek, was very good at getting back to me with questions before and during our stay . He had left a nice basket to greet us when we arrived. Location was perfect. We spent time in Cape Coral, Sarasota, Brandon, Tampa, and Punta Gorda. Loved the Fisherman Village in Punta Gorda. We took 2 cruises out from there and loved the Village Brewhouse. The cottage was the perfect size for the 4 of us. Would definitely recommend this cottage with others. Oh and the bay was only a few blocks away. Great for sunsets.

Happiness

This was the first time that my husband and I have ever rented a VRBO and it was a wonderful experience. When we found the property on the VRBO website it looked perfect for what we wanted for our vacation but when we walked in the front door on our first day of vacation it totally exceeded or expectations. The VRBO was homey and comfortable and the owners made us feel welcome with a gift basket full of snacks and chocolate and a welcome note with a bottle of wine and a vase of roses. The property was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. It was a bonus to have a washer and dryer so it was nice not to have to worry about doing a weeks worth of laundry when we got home. The property is centrally located in a great neighborhood so there are many activities to do as well as close to grocery stores etc. One of our favorite finds was Port Charlotte Beach Park located about 7 minutes away from the VRBO It was perfect as most of the bigger beaches such as Fort Meyers, Sanibel Island and Englewood Beach had "red tide" warnings and were not safe to swim in and even caused breathing issues just being near the water. Since Port Charlotte is on the Harbor we did not have to worry about "red tide" and we were able to still enjoy the sun, water and beach. As a bonus we were able to meet the owners Linda and Derek. They were the most gracious and hospitable people and their only concern was making sure that we were comfortable and had everything to make our stay enjoyable. I have already recommended this property to another couple and my husband and I plan on reserving the property again for next year when we plan to travel with friends.

A Nice Little Cottage Cozily Tucked Away Near to Everything!

We were here for 3 weeks (Jan 25-Feb 15) in 2023 and were able to visit almost daily with our Canadian snowbird friends who are in an RV Park nearby. We were also able to visit with family in Naples. Having this place, we were able to host our family and friends very comfortably for a few afternoon gatherings. I had to take an unexpected day-trip to Charlotte, NC and flew out of the Punta Gorda airport which was only 10 minutes away. The ease of access to everything was perfect. We walked down to the pier several times and watched the beautiful sunset. We really liked the peace and quiet setting away from everything, but yet only minutes away! The cottage has two bedrooms, one has a half-bath attached. Because we were there for so long, we tried both bedrooms and both were equally comfortable! The main bathroom has a walk-in shower but NO bathtub. For us that was great, but some may prefer a bathtub. Both bedrooms had internet ready TVs as did the living room. The internet speed is great and had no issues keeping up with web-based TV apps on any of the TVs. All TVs have a ROKU stick. Because of the time of the year, we had to use both the central A/C and heater. Both worked very well. There is an electric fireplace in the living room that also in a nice added feature for those cool nights. The owner, Derek, was also great to work with. We communicated via the VRBO app and had no problems that we needed to contact him about. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage.

Cute Cottage

The cottage is quite cute and very livable. I came to visit family so didn't cook much here, but when I did, I found there to be adequate pots and pans, dishes and silverware. The Welcome basket there when I arrived was a surprise! Lots of goodies to munch on, and other helpful items. When I did have questions, Derek was very prompt with his replies. I love the small screened porch, too. i sat and read there on several occasions. I thoroughly enjoyed the close park along the River and walked there several times. The cottage is very close to shopping, both grocery stores and the lovely shops in Punta Gorda. It would have been a perfect vacation except for my own cluminess. While enjoying the park, NOT at the cottage, I tripped and fell resulting in my experiencing great care from Port Charlotte's EMTs as well as ER personnel at Fawcett Hospital. It certainly made my visit more memorable, but I would prefer to remember the lovely cottage and the time I spent there! So I can say, the cottage is lovely and I will certainly consider returning there. And, you can also be confident that if you get hurt, good care is quickly there, too.
