Notre maison à la plage

Commencez votre journée en profitant d'une vue sur l'océan avec une tasse de café, peut-être, peut-être des baleines dauphins, peut-être pélicans.

Seuls les étapes de la falaise, vous pouvez profiter d'une journée à la plage et facilement venir à la maison pour le déjeuner. Torrey Pines State Reserve et l'annexe Torrey Pines sont juste quelques minutes de marche d'un. Miles de sentiers sont disponibles en vélo, tout comme l'ensemble du littoral, une promenade très populaire de week-end.

Il est une promenade facile à Del Mar Village et salle de classe mondiale ainsi que du café décontracté. Il est tellement de plaisir à déguster une boisson et le coucher du soleil à la Plaza Del Mar, si pour une raison quelconque, on est ennuyé avec la vue parfaite de la véranda.

Si vous voulez une randonnée difficile à travers les pins de Torrey réserve ou une journée sur la chaise longue, sortir du lit sur la 7th Street et vous y êtes. Endormez-vous au son des vagues.

Notre maison a été dans la famille depuis 47 ans et il est confortable. La maison de mon frère est contiguë à la propriété et peut également être loué sur VRBO # 313025 si vous avez un grand groupe.

comfortable cottage in great location

This was one of many times we have stayed in this house when visiting family in the San Diego area. Located several houses back from the edge of the cliff above the ocean, it has a good view of the ocean from the living room and the front sitting area, and is a ten minute walk from the Del Mar beach.

Beautiful view

The location is great and the view is beautiful. The home itself is old and dated and could definitely use a refresher. Although we enjoyed the view and location, we wouldn't stay there again.

Ocean View

Located in the very classy neighborhood of Delmar Heights , this home is on a 2 block street overlooking a bluff right on the Pacific ocean, The view is spectacular, One 40 inch TV in the living room with easy access to Netflix and a great BQ area in the back patio area. There's a great Chinese restaurant within walking distance.Less then 2 miles to Delmar race track we really enjoyed our stay.

Great getaway

This house was perfect for us with lots of charm. Stayed 4-nights and the evening sunsets were a highlight. Would definitely recommend and when the opportunity presents itself, we will return!

comfortable home in excellent location

This was one of our multiple stays at this property which, when we visit family in San Diego, we choose to return to for its comfortable ambience, its ocean view from the living room and front outdoor sitting area, and its location about four houses down from clifftop walk overlooking the ocean and ten minute walk to beach.

Delightful Home

Perfect location with a lovely view of the ocean. The home is cozy, filled with love & warmth. We loved the collection of heart shaped rocks lining the front porch window and all of the art work, beautiful oak flooring & cute backyard. The kitchen has everything and I appreciated the spices & mustard (some VRBO’s don’t even have salt!!) Many thanks for the enjoyment

Great place

The location of the house can’t be beat. The beach was accessible via path down the cliffs and is a locals only beach (ie not crowded at all). The pictures of the house don’t do it justice. It is clean, efficiently laid out and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again.

Watch sunset over ocean from living room

This was our third stay at this house - it is comfortable, quiet and relaxing, just down the street from cliff top overlooking the ocean, and a comfortable walk to the beach.

Nice visit in Del Mar

Perfect long weekend getaway for my wife and I in Del Mar. Carol was a wonderful host, chatted twice during our stay. House was cozy, location fantastic, no A/C but used fans at night were fine. Short walk to ocean, Board and Brew for a turkado sandwich, and drive to everything else. Hope to come back again in future years.

Cute comfortable cottage by the beach

Cute, comfortable home including a lovely front patio with ocean view. Because the owners use it, it is well equipped and supplied. Everything is nicely organized including helpful hints for a good stay. Highly recommended.

Great location and Cozy Home

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home. It was the perfect set up for my little family of three. The home has everything you need for a beach stay. The neighborhood provides easy access to the beach and a lovely neighborhood park for kids about 1 mile away. You can take a stroll along the bluff just a block away. There are ocean views from the living room and front porch. I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the patio. The owner was easy to communicate with and was responsive to any needs or questions. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for anyone with a small family.

Del mar racetrack visit

We were 4 adults attending the races at del mar race track. I had attempted to contact host thru VRBO link about things like umbrellas....I never received a reply. Which concerned me. Upon arrival I still didn't have a code for the front door lock. . I called host directly with no answer. Host did then call my daughter , who I had shared the property info with but was not staying with us, and gave her the code and apologized she had forgotten to contact us. My daughter then called us with the code so we were able to get in. The house was clean and served us well for our 5 night stay. It's an older home but surprisingly quiet. The tub shower was ok for us, but would maybe be difficult for some folks to manage. Well stocked kitchen. Laundry was a plus. View of the ocean is great! Location was also good and within walking distance of some restaurants. I would use this rental again when I'm back in del mar.

Wonderful week in Del Mar

The location of the house is perfect. The ocean is nearby and it is a short walk to the town of Del Mar with restaurants and shops. You can hear the sounds of the waves all day long and watch the sunset from the patio. There is a nice walk along the bluffs that you can take either to the north or south to enjoy the beautiful view. The trail to the beach requires some navigation down the hillside, but shouldn't be too difficult for someone in good condition. If you don't want to hike down the hillside, there are other public beaches a mile in either direction. The house is on the older side and has a few quirks as a result. But the photos of the house are accurate of what you are getting. We were comfortable with 4 people and worked around the single bathroom. Communication with the owner was easy.

Charming home in Del Mar beach neighborhood

We just stayed here, and we trully felt at home. It was my husband and I and our toddler. We had a very relaxing visit. The home is on a cul-de-sac with adjacent millon dollar homes, it is prime San Diego county Real Estate. We walked to Strattford Court cafe every day for lattes, acai bowls, and sandwiches. Also recommend the farmers market on Saturdays (5 min walk), and Crepes and Corks for lunch. We walked to the beach every day (10-15 min to main beach park) where my 1.5 year son played on the swing, in the grass, and on the beach. We had dinner on the front patio and watched the sunset. There are endless things to do without having to drive anywhere. Owner is very responsive and there some good DVDs to watch that we took advantage of, it was easy to cook in the kitchen, and the bathroom was really cool. An amazing place to stay, even my San Diego friends were jealous! Rita

Would not stay again

This property has a lot of things going for it, but, the negatives outweigh the positive for us to stay again! The location was ideal with very nice ocean views. IT was easy to walk to the cliffs and see the ocean. The inside was mostly clean except the bathroom needs a lot of work-shower curtain was gross with rusty shower hooks, spiders inside the shower with webs, toilet was very short (think for a child) and people with disability would likely have a difficult time getting in/out of the shower. The main bedroom had blinds that were broken and/or missing and the window did not shut completely. Fortunately the neighbors were not home or they could of easily looked into the bedroom. Also, there was a window in the living that did not lock and was broken. Unfortunately, during our stay they were doing major construction to the streets and this started at 7 am which was extremely loud and woke us up-the owner knew this was going on but neglected to tell us until we arrived as there was a notice on the refrigerator-we would of liked to have been given the chance to know and probably would not have stayed here knowing it. One of the neighbors also had 2 large dogs they left outside and if we went into the backyard they barked continuously as well as during the night as they were left outside then as well. Overall, the place needs a good painting and fix the things that are broken or need of repair and this could be a very nice place if updates were done. Overpriced!!

Excellent Girls Getaway

Exactly what we were looking for! I was familiar with Del Mar and the towns close by and this was the perfect location. My two girlfriends and I loved this home away from home. We were able to walk to the cliffs down the street and to the beach in Del Mar and it's so close to shops. Great neighborhood, you feel like a local. The home is not fancy, but ever so comfortable and relaxing. Just what we wanted. You can relax with a glass of wine or coffee either out back on the beautiful private patio with a fireplace or sit out front and watch the pacific. You can get in your car and go less than 10 minutes to Solana Beach for great shopping. We were also there during Fiesta Del Sol, arts and crafts show. We used the Coaster that goes from San Diego to Los Angeles and went to Encinitas Village for the day for more shopping and lunch. We drove into San Diego, 30 minutes and Coronado, 40 minutes away. Awesome vacation. We could not have enjoyed ourselves anymore and were sorry to leave.

Calm & relaxed!

This is our second time staying in this home & we hope to have more vacations here. Our four year old son enjoyed it and was very comfortable. He loved picking a few lemons & figs which we spent time touching, smelling, & tasting - we even made lemonade! The landscaping is beautiful & we spent a lot of time inspecting the flowers. We had a hummingbird visit almost every afternoon! We took daily walks (a little less than a mile) to Powerhouse Park & beach to play in the water & at the great playground. On our walk home we would stop @ one of the multiple restaurants for a drink & apps (great happy hours!). My husband and I would take turns with early morning walks on the bluffs & the trails at Torrey Pines State Reserve. We had an easy drive to Legoland & Del Mar Fairgrounds. The tub/shower suited us but I will agree that it may be hard for some people to get in & out of it as well as to bathe younger children. We watched the sunset daily from the front porch or from the beach (very easy & short walk). We enjoyed the use of the sand buckets. We purchased a boogie board and left it in the garage with two others that are available for use (we purchased before we knew). Thank you Carol & family!
