Well equipped cabin. We enjoyed our stay over 4th of July week and it was even better on the inside than we expected. Beautiful view of the river out of the huge windows was a nice surprise!
3 days of fishing in St. Germain, Wi. The cabin was amazing. Clean, comfortable in a nice setting overlooking the creek. Off of Highway 70, convenient to the main town as well as restaurants. Awesome place.
Stayed 5 days biking on the fantastic paved trails in Vilas County. You can get on the trail right at the end of the driveway. The cabin is nicely furnished with new appliances, comfortable beds and a real neat custom built kitchen table. It is nicely decorated throughout. There are a nice assortment of pots and pans and plenty of utensils for your cooking needs. Each cabin has new Weber grill. We will differently be returning.
Pictures donât do this cabin justice! Cozy and Clean. Troy was more than accommodating, and answered all our questions quickly! Short walk down to the river, and campfire ready with provided firewood. Loved being able to hit the grocery store and utilize the kitchen and grill. We came over prepared with food and supplies, but they have basis necessities there for you to use in the kitchen. (Plates, forks, cups, etc). 10/10 will definitely stay again!
Big Bear Hideaway has that perfect Up North experience with small town feel, familiarity, peacefulness and beauty for my husband, 2 kids (13&11) and myself. Troy, the owner was very nice and accommodating.
Located off the main Hwy but barely heard the noise because of the dense trees and being on a peaceful river that leads to Pickeral Lake. Brand new dock was perfect when we rented jet skis and got hungry for lunch, we were able to head up to the cabin because there are no restaurants on Pickeral Lake. The free use of the canoes was a nice touch because Pickeral river is so calm and peaceful with the minimal boat traffic and towering trees.
Close to town with plenty of restaurants, grocery store, coffee shops and ice cream shop.
Cabin was gorgeous and in perfect condition! We even asked the host for details for our new house. We loved being able to use their full kitchen every morning for hot breakfasts and coffee. They had wifi which was helpful because our cell service was very limited (which we love!) and we were able to watch a movie on the stormy night.
It was the second year for us at this resort. Like Cabin 1, Cabin 2 was functional, well-maintained and suited everything we needed for our only vacation of the year. The location is perfect for accessing all of the greatness of the Northwoods. The hosts are very approachable and responsive. We loved our stay!
