Please donât leave electric fireplace on for extended period due to location of thermostat. For shower, use green valve to turn on/red valve for hot.
Basement is currently blocked off due to some updates being needed come Spring. We have a baby gate up on the steps for safety.
The location was great, beautiful, peaceful and easy access to the Keweenaw Peninsula. The house was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the house had nice finishes/updates but poorly done. The electrical was clearly done by a non professional and without permits or inspections as outlets were upside down and light switches were in weird locations. There is a reason the shower does not appear in any of the booking photos! There is only a powder room. The "shower" is a shower head hanging from the ceiling of a sauna room at the back of the house. The sauna controls were corroded and didn't appear safe to use but we didn't try. There were cobwebs in the corners of the room. The shower consisted of exposed galvanized pipe that ran up the wall and across the ceiling to a shower head. The hot and cold taps were valves like you find for your outside spigot. I would not have been surprised if this had been a campground but for a home, it was disappointing. I wouldn't stay again.
My Mom's family is from the Paulding/Bruce Crossing area. We decided to take our first grandchild to the area to experience the beauty of Michigan. We appreciated the clean house and welcoming feeling.
Great location- convenient for family close to here
We loved the location, house was nice! Simple and easy. Everything was there that was needed, only downfall was the beds upstairs were not comfortable. But the upstairs was very nice idea for multiple family members or kids that could care less about the comfort of the bed đ.
This house was cute, well decorated and the sauna with shower was a fun thing to try. However, I could not get past the smoky smell. There are no smoking signs posted on all the doors but the smell lingers from a previous user/owner. This house would have been 5 stars if it didn't bother my asthma so much.
The property was clean and fit our family of six well. We had wildlife visitors (deer) every evening and morning, which our city kids enjoyed a lot. :)
Nice quiet area great for relaxing, after long day of house shopping. Host has thought of most everything. Bruce Crossing is a nice little town and has great food at good prices.
Very nice older house. Very clean. Sauna takes awhile to heat up but is understandable. FYI there is a nail head sticking out part way up the stairs that should probably be put back in place. Good food nearby. I would stay there again. Still snow on the ground so I cannot rate the yard and surroundings.
A bunch of guys that purely wanted to ride sleds! 5 guys, 5 beds, refrigerator, shower and a comfy atmosphere! Perfect! Thanks for a great place to stay!
