Terrible and Frustrating
Pictures look great, but the place is somewhat beat up. The king bed sinks in the middle, and the queen bed feels like one wrong move and it will fall apart. But that is not really the issue. On our second full day, we woke up to toilets not flushing and the tub not draining. We called right away and he got back to us saying he would get a plumber but it wouldn't be until the next morning. I asked for refund to go to the hotel. He instead offered us to stay at his other unit next door. When we went in, the place had obviously been stayed in and not yet cleaned. He was adamant that it was clean. The beds were all unmade like someone had slept in them. He again said they are not dirty I sent him pictures and asked him if he would allow his family to stay in a place that was like this and he did not respond. Luckily the toilet drained but we could only flush it once in a while because it took so long to drain. The next morning, we wasted a day waiting for the plumber to come so that we could shower and get ready. After a few hours of the plumber telling us that the install of the plumbing was the issue, he said we could at least use the showers and bathroom next door. We did that and the toilets and showers backed up there as well. We finally packed up and left. I asked him to give us a refund, which he did- for the remaining two nights, not considering the entire day we dealt with his property issues. And also the amount he refunded us was less than what we paid for the two nights. There was no apology and when I asked him to make it right, he told me he is going to have a huge plumbing bill as though poor install of plumbing was our fault. I simply was hoping that he would be a decent human being, refund us for the rest of our trip and part of the time we wasted waiting for services, and I really wanted an apology. Life happens-when people are kind and try to give their customers a good service, they don't blame them and disrespect them.
