Amazing lakefront home 16 miles from Whiteface and Lake Placid
Fabulous rental for winter skiing or summer lakefront and Ironman. Gorgeous lakefront home on Union Falls Lake- only 16 miles from Whiteface Mountain. 5 bedrooms with open an open space concept plan with large downstairs recreation room and a gym. Wonderful to walk out the large deck and snowshoe, cross country ski, snowmobile or ice fish right on the lake. Spend a day at Whiteface or Lake Placid and come home and relax by the wonderful fireplace.
We had an awesome time! This was one of the most gorgeous and best stocked homes weâve been to in the ADKs. The lake was super quiet. It felt like we had it to ourselves. Loved kayaking at sunrise and exploring the lake coves. Ross answered any questions we had very quickly, and that was greatly appreciated. We caught lots of Bass and a few walleye for all You fishermen! Watch for sunken stumps. We hit a few! We would definitely return for another visit.
We couldn't have been happier to return for our 2nd stay at this beautiful home. More than enough room for everyone, ages 4-76, plus our dog, Duke. Perfect for people and pups!
Great house on a beautiful lake. We enjoyed sledding and ice fishing on the property and had a great time playing games as a family at the large dining table. Second living room gave room for the kids to hang out separately.
Although everyone calls this home a "cabin" it is far more that a cabin. It is a beautiful retreat set by a beautifully quiet large pond {really a lake in many ways}. The home is large enough for 2-3 families without being cramped. The home is supplied really well with plates and pots and pans. And they are all in great shape. Although there is no A/C it wasn't needed and we had at least 2 days in the mid 80's. The walk down to the lake is relatively short maybe 1-1.5 min. The only down side to the lake is that at the shoreline there is no beach area and there are slippery rocks from the edge of the water to about 10-12 feet out. So if you have water shoes bring them. The fire pit area is great and we did a couple of bonfires. While you are there it's a must to go to Lake Placid. Given the Olympic history alone it is well worth the ride there as well as going to the Ski Jump facility. The owner, Ross, is great to talk to especially if you have questions about the area/property and he responds very quickly to an email. All in all this "cabin" is in a beautiful setting, very clean, spacious and well worth staying there and enjoying the pond/lake, the local hiking trails etc.
The house was beautiful and big enough for all of us. The lake was the most peaceful one weâve ever been to. Weâve stayed all over the Adirondacks and Maine. We were a little nervous at first with no cell service but STARLINK wifi was great and we had no issues. There is also a landline. Kayaking surrounded by gorgeous mountains was amazing.
We had a great time at the house with our daughters and grandsons. They enjoyed the lake every single day. Even when the dock was ruined by a storm on the last two days of our stay, they still went out in the kayaks and tubes. The cabin is beautiful; the host thought of everything you could need to have a pleasant stay. The cabin is remote, so stock up on groceries before you come. We went to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid but mostly stayed at the lake. All in all, a great vacation.
This house is really a very nice house with abundant space, comfortable furnishings, nicely decorated and has great views from the lake front. It is a little remote from the nearest grocery stores so be prepared for a decent car ride for provisions. In return the solitude and beauty of the lake and mountain views is worth it.
We had a wonderful week with family at this huge lakefront home. Everything you need is there on property. Paper products, stocked pantry, and laundry/dish soap. It is a short walk down to the lake lots of water toys and gorgeous views of Whiteface Mountain! There was ai much space inside and outside we were never cramped or felt on top of each other. Would absolutely recommend and visit again!
Our multi-generation family (plus dog!) had an outstanding experience at this property. The house itself was equally cozy and spacious; the main floor had an open floor plan, and bedrooms were all a great size. The two separate living spaces really came in handy so the little ones and adults could each have their own space when needed. The lake is great for fishing, and we caught several each day. Ross is a pleasure to deal with -very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely look to book again next year.
Close to Whiteface and Lake Placid. Wonderful home sits on a six (6) mile long lake that is awesome for fishing, kayaking, SUP, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. Lots of wildlife- Bald Eagles, Loons, and even Moose.
Large house to fit multiple families and friends. Private - 5 acre property right on the lake. Super fishing right our your door! Spend a day skiing at Whiteface
