The rolling hills and mountains create the backdrop for an eclectic community of artists, musicians, writers, sculptors, craftspeople, farmers, gardeners, shopkeepers and so much more. This is a friendly place with a real sense of community, where neighbors help neighbors. Within 10 miles is the larger town of Brattleboro with excellent supermarket shopping , and a vibrant downtown area with superb restaurant choices, bakeries, coffee shops, movie theaters, live music, book stores, museums, galleries, and various other shops and activities.
