My friends and I just got home from a girls' weekend at this stunningly beautiful home. There were 8 of us, all newly 30, and we were in town celebrating some of our birthdays.
This was, hands down, the best rental experience all of us have ever had--not only because the house itself is amazing, but also because of the owner, Mary-Ann. We all arrived much earlier than the scheduled check-in time and Mary-Ann was incredibly accommodating, let us in early, and showed us around. She is absolutely lovely and so kind. Leading up to the trip, she took time to call me and talk through instructions, as well as share helpful tips about the area and recommend fun places to us that we would enjoy.
The property itself was absolutely perfect--spacious bedrooms, comfy beds, a huge table where we could all gather, and an enormous, fully-furnished kitchen area where we could all hang out, cook, and spend time as a group together, without getting in each other's way. Not to mention, the outdoor area was BEAUTIFUL. The landscaping and flowers looked straight out of a magazine and the pool was so gorgeous. We loved hanging out on the patio, grilling, and lounging in the pool chairs. Every aspect of the house was so clean and perfect. She had absolutely anything and everything we could ever want or need, and it made for a very stress-free relaxing time together. Best house, best owner, best experience--we miss it already!
I want to take a second to add an extra note about Mary-Ann and the kindness she showed our group. One of our friends traveling from Ohio had a ton of flight trouble (both ways--poor thing). Her return flight got cancelled and she was stuck trying to figure out how to get home. We had all left town in the morning, and she was just leaving the house at checkout time at noon when Mary-Ann came to get the house in order and connect with the cleaning crew. Our friend explained the situation, and Mary-Ann was so kind to her and said she could stay as long as she needed to till she figured out her flight. When our friend realized she'd have to take a flight out of LGA, Mary-Ann was so unbelievably kind and drove her into the city almost all the way to the airport. Mary-Ann was so sweet, went the extra mile, and made our friend (who was very stressed out) feel welcome and taken care of. People like that are few and far between these days, and we are so thankful for her help and to just get to meet her.
10/10 recommend this home and Mary-Ann! :)
