We were attending my nephews graduation from Parris Island on Nov. 2 we stayed here and were glad we did! The location was perfect. Only 9 minutes from the base. We never left Port Royal during our stay. Lots of dining options. Madisons and the Fish camp were great. The shell ring brewerie was great, good beer. The home was clean, beds were comfortable, walked to most locations. They have five bikes. Highly recommend! Kristi was great.
AVOID THIS PLACE!! It is NOT SAFE!!! MOLD, FILTHY, AND THE WORST MANAGEMENT!!
Avoid this property! It is not safe and the management is not willing to do anything about it. Upon arrival, we noticed how filthy things were, then started looking closely and and saw MOLD at all of the air vents, in the coffee pot filter area, and pieces of the water damaged ceiling hanging down over the dining table. It was disgusting. There is no way someone could stay there safely. If I could post photos on here, I would. No one should subject themselves to the filth and potential sickness, not to mention the nastiness of the woman in contact.
I immediately reached out to the property manager, Kristi. Note, she is not the owner. Her response was appalling. See the full conversation below:
Me:
Hi Kristi! We have arrived for check-in, but are finding things here are not as expected. The space is fine the furniture a bit cheap but okay, but the cleanliness is lacking. Just to name a few things, there is mold in the coffee pot, food/filth in the ice cube tray, and hair on the sponge at the sink. Also, the umbrella outside is broken. We haven't even stayed a night and are already feeling grossed out. I have begun washing things up, but then stopped myself as I'm on vacation and shouldn't be! We won't be able to stay here and will need our reservation canceled and fully refunded.
Kristi:
Hello, I personally cleaned the property today and can promise you that our is clean! The furnishings are all the same as on --------. I will not offer a refund of any kind! The unit is
My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights. We attended her boyfriendâs graduation from the Marines.
It was super easy to get in and settled. Not far from Paris Island and only about 10-15 minutes from grocery shopping. There are some great places to eat.
The inside has just enough space, and the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook or eat with.
The property manager was easy to get in touch with and very helpful.
I was a little disappointed that the outside wasnât a bit cleaner. There were some days I would have liked to sit out back, but the cushions were a tad dirty and covered in leaves.
I also think the floors and baseboards could do with a deep clean.
Overall though, it was a great stay!
Love Love Love this property! It felt just like home. Clean, comfy, serene and beautiful. We was exhausted when we arrived and when we walked in we felt so peaceful. Perfect location to Parris Island so if anyone has a recruit graduation coming up in the future, I highly recommend this home away from home!
Very nice, quiet neighborhood. House was great. Kids loved riding bikes in the neighborhood and drawing with chalk. Close to everything we wanted to do. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Overall this was a sweet, well decorated duplex home close to a beach and historic Beaufort. We enjoyed the nearby boardwalk to the Cypress Wetlands bird sanctuary. The home was appointed with everything we needed including comfy beds. The area is full of interesting history and beauty!
What we liked:
The property was very clean.
The queen bed was very comfortable.
Nice, walkable neighborhood.
Good location for easy access to the rest of the region.
Kristi quickly responded to any issues that arose.
It's a great place for a few days or a week.
However, we were there for five weeks and found some amenities missing:
The living room is dark; there was no reading/task lamp.
The kitchen is short on storage; not a sharp knife anywhere.
While we expected to clean, there were no cleaning supplies.
No toilet brush in downstairs bathroom.
No grab bars or mat in the shower.
While there were plenty of towels and washcloths, there were only three hand towels.
Great place on a quiet street. Very clean, with restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Only downside to our stay was poor cell service for Verizon. Just remember to screen shot or write down your entry codes beforehand. Oh yeah and bug spray, those mosquitoes are relentless.
This was such a lovely and cozy house. It was in great shape and was very clean. It's located in a nice neighborhood, and we were able to ride the bikes around and onto a trail nearby. Overall I would definitely reccomend this property.
The house is very nice. Having the extra 1/2 bathroom is a nice convenience. We really enjoyed the Port Royal area. Overall we were very happy with our stay.
The property was perfect for us. We were traveling for graduation at Parris Island and the property was close enough to go back and forth on Family Day which had events spread throughout the day. It was very clean and convenient. There restaurants, stores, beaches, and a nature walk very close as well.
We stayed 3 nights for MCRD Graduation at Parris Island. It is very close to the base, which is convenient. Nice quiet neighborhood and very walkable around town. The wetlands nearby offer a nice stroll to see the local wildlife. The house was very clean and had everything you would need.
