Good location, warm and clean. Had a little issue with cleaning crew maybe skipping the sheet swap from previous guests but property manager rectified the issue quickly. Overall this place is a great value and it was a fun trip. Thanks!
Decided to stay at a new location this year and it didnât disappoint wonderful location to ski right out into the slopes. Tons of room and beds. And a great movie selection!
Our ski group enjoyed our stay and great location. Old school type of place not a lot of frills but that is the way we like it. Our only compliant was that the place was not cleaned very well by the housekeepers. Plus the place could use a good deep clean in the offseason. Other than that it was fine and would stay again!!
We visit Snowshoe several times each season and have always stayed in the village, so this is our first time staying at Shamrock. We will definitely stay here again. Frank has the condo set up perfectly. He has pretty much thought of everything to maximize the space and make it as convenient/efficient as possible. Couldnât figure out how to get the TVâs to work, but it was actually a nice break from television. We enjoyed the fireplace and just chilling after great days of skiing.
The property was beautiful, views perfect. Amenities were satisfactory and comfortable. Wish I could give this unit a 4.5 stars, since the listing is a little misleading. The number and location of beds was not quite accurate. Plenty of beds for the group but they are practically all bunk beds. The only other thing we noted was we couldn't find a dumpster, so directions to the nearest dumpster would be helpful.
Lovely weekend with family. With the bed in the nook we slept 9 adults. The bunks were sturdy and didnât move or make noise when the top bunk adult got up in the middle of the night. FYI (All adults were under 6ft tall).
Fully stocked kitchen with a nice nonstick skillet, griddle. Loved the reclining couch and many TVs for relaxing after a day of hiking.
Frank was very responsive when the internet was out. Plenty of towels. Bring your own toiletries and paper towels.
The bunkhouse was awesome, ample room for 8, he's not kidding, there's 2 hidden rooms, with 3 bunks in them, so cute and neat additions. We had fam of 4 for the week, the teenagers stayed downstairs with their own bathroom and we stayed upstairs with ours. Everything worked, the airlock is great with a mitten and boot dryer and the ski boot jack rocked! The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, cooking utensils it even had spices, all appliances worked great and were used often. Frank, the host called several times to ck on us and if we had any questions, it was an all around great experience. It's also located very near a walk down slope right near the PowderRidge lift drop off, very convenient!
I really hate giving a bad review, but this place was one of the top 2 most disappointing properties we've ever stayed in with vrbo. It's amazing what you can overlook, and even find somewhat charming, if a property is clean. However, what we found at check-in was a partially cleaned condo with torn, soiled sheets (hair, human fluids, etc.), gross crud in the bathrooms, old coffee grounds in the coffee maker, etc.. Messages to the owner were completely ignored, and even VRBO could not get the property mgmt to at least finish cleaning and bring over a clean set of linens for the beds. To be fair, it is a good location to access the slopes, but the condition of the condo and complete lack of concern for these issues left a very bad impression. I would not recommend this property and, as a vrbo host myself, I would be horrified to ever have a guest experience this completely unacceptable situation. I would also note that while it claims to be newly renovated and large enough for a big group, it is very dark and built on a narrow footprint, so it feels tight. The interior appeared worn and outdated and there are no extras like soap, shampoo, extra TP, etc.. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for something better.
Perfect condo for two adults, two teens, and a 9 year old. Owner is so nice this is the second time this season we stayed here. Love how it literally is a ski in and out. Will stay here again!
We fit 4 adults and 4 teenagers into this house pretty comfortably. The ski in/out and general location/closeness to the resort was perfect! Check in/check out was seamless. The complex and resort do a great job plowing/sanding so travel felt safe. The deer in the back yard were an extra treat. We came pretty well stocked with food/supplies. Closest store is a Dollar General. The TV takes a minute to figure out if you are used to primarily streaming and only one remote. The DVD selection is great. We were all comfortable and really enjoyed our stay!
We had a great time staying at the bunkhouse! It had everything we needed and more. Our family of 7 did not feel like we needed to squeeze in. The condo is well lived in, nothing fancy, which makes for a more relaxed atmosphere for us. Ski out was super easy, the walk back was more of a work out, but doable. Would definitely stay again.
I spent a lot of time at snowshoe in the early '90s snowboarding. It was like stepping back in time
The renting was easy accessing and getting into the place was easy. For me it was like when the guys in hot tub time machine went back to K-Val. Very nostalgic for me I spent a lot of time in that area in the mid-90s snowboarding
Lots of room for bringing the whole gang! They also had various pantry items that are often forgotten when packing for a trip. That was very much so appreciated. We will defiantly be back to take a ski shot next year!
The house was as we expected in terms of size and amenities, a good spot and house for a ski weekend or week. The owner was very responsive before arrival. The house was unfortunately not well cleaned, bathrooms (toilets) were not well cleaned.
The property Is beyond outdated with many things not working, falling apart or simply so old that they are no longer usable. The main bed is probably the hardest bed we have ever sat on or slept on making it the worst night sleep after much needed rest following a full day of skiing. Visitors should be made aware that itâs best to bring soap for hands and shampoo as well as nothing is offered or whatâs there is so old that it cannot be used. The place is very dark and no view apart onto trees and the parking lot - just good to note if you are looking for a view. Access to the Snowshoe slopes was good. And the check in and check out was easy - that was a plus.
Besides a few dishes being dirty, this place is very ideal for 7 or so people. Ideal location for skiing/snowboarding Snowshoe and Silver creek. Had a party of 6 and didn't feel crowded. It also had plenty of storage space for boards and snowboarding accessories. Would stay here again.
