Awesome Stay

I stayed in the Treasures of Andros. Definitely exceeded my expectations. First off the owner Trevor was there waiting my arrival. That was awesome. I was lucky to get an upgrade that I was not expecting, the Emerald Bungalow was very nice. The location is beautiful and right on the water with a nice little beach (very clean) steps out the back door. There is also a very nice restaurant a few doors down from the unit- Brigadiers. I would definitely recommend staying at the Treasures of Andros. I will be back.

Treasure of Andros has a beautiful ocean front view blue waters gallore, we took advatage of everything they offered fishing, kayaking, dining. Mario our host went above and beyond normal stays weve had to make sure we had a great experience. The cottage rental was very clean, its location is between a creek and the ocean, kayaking the creek gave us alot of nature views including rare turtles, birds, nature at its best as it leads to a beach at the mouth of the ocean. The rental has small shopping amenities on site as well as dining. It is located within 10 minutes of other dining and shopping, there is a gas station within 10 minutes as well just South of Sammys Bar and Grill "wich has great views of the ocean". If your staying awhile and want to pickup food to cook at the unit travel south 10 minutes there 4 stores along the route. First store on left going south is Express Buys in town is Andros Distributors, next to Andros Distributors is another store, just around the corner is Gaitors Variety Store, wich has food supplies, bait, and you can order some grilled food in the back of Gaitors. There is plenty more shops in either direction. Overall our stay was very pleasent the people were very nice traffic is not heavy you can enjoy your drive going anywhere. You can relax on the beautiful beach there no downside for this place . Me and my wife plan to stay again.

Delightful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our villa/duplex opened right onto the beach. The amenities were great (it's nice to pop your towels in the dryer) and everything was clean. You can't beat the view. If you're not much for cooking yourself, Brigadier's is at the end of the block and has excellent food (and drinks!). Mario was very helpful and always available if needed. The island and its people are very relaxed and slow paced. No one is in a hurry. Everyone is friendly. I was a bit nervous about driving on the left for the first time, but you see so few other cars that it's pretty easy. I joked with Mario that I just had to drive like a local, which means down the middle of the road and if you see someone coming, dodge to the left. Fortunately, the Queens Highway has been recently repaved. A couple things to consider if you're thinking of coming to Andros is provisions and power. The grocery stores are more akin to a large convenience store. We preferred Gaiter's, but Mabel's was more convenient. Also, in our 6 days/5 nights we only went one 24 hour period with uninterrupted electricity. The outages lasted anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour or so. Some locals we talked to said it's not uncommon but seemed to be happening more often lately. Perhaps they're working on the grid like they are working on the roads. Andros is a wonderful, beautiful island, and it's hard to beat The Treasures for a place to stay.

Exceptional!!!!

Enjoy the magnificent turquoise water and fiery sunrises from the deck of this beautiful cottage, that is literally on the beach. Coffee on deck, watching the sun come up is beyond discription. Even if your not and early riser you won't want to miss this spectacular event each morning. If you are fisherman, it's a very short walk down the beach to an expansive bonefish flat at the entrance to Davis Creek. The cottage is convienient to everything, has all the amenities, and the washer and dryer are a major plus! But the biggest plus were Trevor and Mario who are a phone call away and ready to answer any question or resolve any issue you may encounter. They are simply the very best!!!! Joe, Tammy and Molly

Already missing Andros Island...

I stayed at Treasures of Andros the 1st week of Feb 2018. I could not have been happier choosing to stay at Treasures for my part DIY, part guided bonefishing trip. Mario was incredibly helpful checking me in and he was also there in no time when I locked myself out :) There were no little bars of soap in the bathroom or mints on the pillow. Thank God because that's not the type of place I was looking for. I spent the majority of my time at the property on the deck and walking the beach. I literally had the entire beautiful beach to myself the whole time! The unit was very clean and I was more than comfortable. Trevor scheduled a rental car for me as well as arranged an insanely incredible fishing guide in Shawn Riley who got me on several fish, in the off season. Brigadiers Restaurant is only a few doors down and definitely worth the visit to feast on some locally caught conch. I will be staying at Treasures again. Thx again Trevor & Mario!

Stress Free Location

My stay at Treasures of Andros was great! I spent 16 days days in this beautiful location in the Fresh Creek area. There are 3 cottages all right next to the water so everyday and night you can hear the waves right up to the porch area. Especially at night, siting outside on the deck overlooking the Atlantic was memorable. Also get up early and check out the sunrise. I stayed in the 2 bedroom but I did see the other two cottages also. All were well equipped ( good size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, stove , pots and pans, dishes) with everything you need to eat every meal at home. But there is a nice restaurant just a few steps away that has good food and bar. Washer and dryer were provided also. Internet and Cable TV were fine. I did not rent a car but you can through Trevor who makes sure your visit is comfortable. If needed Mario will take care of any problems or concerns you might need. The beach is super and I spent many hours walking the area. It is truly a relaxing and sress free time. I would go back , but rent a car the next time as basic grocery supplies/ liquor store are a good walking distance away. Also I need to say how nice the Bahama people are to everyone. People always wave, say hello etc. You feel like you are truly appreciated to visit Andros. I have never been called SIR so many time in my entire life. Wonderful trip! Writing this makes me want to return right now!

Yes, it's really real

We stayed for about 10 days and the cottage was clean and comfortable. You see the surf right from the livingroom door, and the cluster of cottages nearby are not so crowded that you feel surrounded, but not so empty that you feel abandoned. We loved living right off the beach, feeling the ebb and flow of the tides and the weather. The first few days the sea was calm and *v*e*r*y buggy! But then, the wind kicked up, the bugs disappeared. We had a large screen TV with cable, WIFI, comfortable sectional couch, air conditioning in the bedrooms and our own washer/dryer. There was no housekeeping service, blender, or BBQ grill. The kitchen was very barebones basic, which was fine with us, there was a coffee maker, gas stove, microwave and an electric can opener. We rented the truck which came with the house that got us around very well in the terrain. We actually did go crabbing and Mario very kindly supplied us with a crab bin to use for the fattening up period before we made crab-and-dough with them, which meant that we had crab "pets" for a week. The dogs were a great team going up and own the beach doing security, and never entered the house unless invited. We loved the cottage, it was perfect for us. It is about a 5 minute dive from Small Hope Bay Lodge where we did a lot of diving. There was some snorkeling a bit from this cottage, in sporadic clumps of coral. It's about a half an hour's drive to Captain Bill's Blue Hole and also Rainbow Blue Hole Trail -- great to take a dip on hot days when the sea is unpleasantly stormy. Finding groceries was a challenge for us, as we are programmed to look for a big supermarket -- like it or not here on Andros you can't go to one place to buy everything you need. But you get to know people in the process and it all adds to the experience. FYI Mabel's grocery gets fresh supplies (like vegetables) on Fridays, try there after 1pm. Also, plan on going to the ATM at the bank rather than trying to cash a check there. And gas is currently about $6 a gallon. Inside the cottage, a local cellphone is supplied to make local calls, along with some local phone numbers. There are also detailed maps of the area showing local restuarants and stores. A new restaurant and several cottages were building built during our visit, which are much finer. But for me, this was a great buy!

Great location, great property managers.

We stayed in the older two bedroom cottage, attached to the one bedroom. We got a late start due to snow storms in Boston! Our cottage could use some updating, but despite that we were comfortable. The beds were comfortable and it was clean. Mario and Princess responded quickly to our requests and are very pleasant and helpful, as are all the local people we met. We had a clunker car which I think is needed to explore. Will not repeat the information others have shared, there's lots to see, but you have to travel. The roads have lots of pot holes, but you get used to it and end up driving like the locals(or I did)!! We brought some of our own food and condiments and ate out at Hank's and The Conch Salad takeout and Conch burger place next door. DIY bone fishing is fantastic, Tommy Kee took my husband out and he had a great day. The weather was not ideal, cool, very windy from NW/N/E, so there was no snorkeling which bummed me out and too windy to really kayak near the coast. You can walk the beach forever at low tide and fish off the beach or the new long dock next door. The separate newer two bedroom cottage was the best from my perspective and the man living in the "Pink two story" house next door is building 3 new villas and a restaurant on that road. It looks like development is picking up and tourism as well. The bugs definitely bite, deet worked for me, that's what I had. Others have suggested Skin so Soft or a daily antihistamine. Our neighbors were very nice and helped us to locate very good diy bone fishing places. Andros is an interesting island with lots of character. It is rustic still, but we like that. two grocery stores with adequate supplies. costs are higher for some things, not as bad as the US Virgins. We look forward to going back in a couple of years. The dogs were very nice and protective.

Peaceful,relaxing,water like gin,great fishing,warm people!

My wife Carol and I spent the entire month of February enjoying ourselves at the treasures of Andros. We went there to fish but, there is so much more. Not only did we catch more fish than we could ever eat but, spent time exploring the island, hunting for shells, enjoying the food and just loving the people. If you need to be relaxed, feel the warm sun and sand under your feet this is the place to spend your time. Mario and his wife princess are wonderful people who love doing their job and fulfilling your every need. Trevor's main concern is to make everyone as happy as they can be and he makes no mistakes doing just that. If you are after bonefish the flats are enormous and contain some of the biggest bonefish I have ever seen. A bonefish special seems to be the definitive fly, also the many patterned shrimp flies work extremely well too. If you are after offshore fish you can call Tanno. He will take you out for multi colored Mahi-Mahi, lightning Wahoo, giant Barracuda and much more. His fees are most reasonable and he loves to laugh. Our room was just what we needed. Plenty of room, neat, and clean. If you are looking for a wonderful time, look no further. Rich and Carol Pich

Heaven!

We booked one of the 2 bedroom beach apartments for 6 weeks, the whole booking process was very straight forward and easy, Trevor (the owner) had plenty of patience for the numerous questions sent his way! The apartment was exactly as described and was extremely clean. Trevor’s sister Princess and her husband Mario were on hand for any help and advice, they are lovely people and really do want you to feel comfortable and most of all to enjoy your holiday – customer service like this is extremely thin on the ground these days… Davis Creek is a wonderful place to stay, it’s out of the main village of Fresh Creek and is quiet and relaxed with amazing beaches right in front of the apartment. We were lucky enough to see dolphins swim by as well as a mah-mahi which was a little off course but a real treat to see from the end of the dock, I could go on and on about the turtles, manta rays, ospreys etc, there is wild life in abundance and it’s just perfect for bird watching, fishing, kayaking, exploring and diving or just lazing with a good book and a cool drink by your hand. The bonefishing is excellent and so easily available especially for DIY fishermen, if you are fishing for bonefish I would recommend that you get an ‘Explorer Chartbook’ (near Bahamas) as it’s impossible to get decent maps for fishing and the ‘Explorer Chartbook’ details all the low water and tide tables, we also cross reference with ‘google earth’ as it shows all the tracks. If the weather is against you there are some very good guides who will always be able to find you a good sheltered spot for fishing and usually some nice big bonefish. Try Tommy Kee for Fresh Creek and Red Bays and Mark Bastian for fishing the Bights. If you fancy a day out reef fishing for mahi-mahi, wahoo, mackerel, ‘cuda, snapper, grouper etc, try Tanno, you can get hold of him at ‘Mables Store’ just north of Fresh Creek between the liquor store and the bank. For people wishing to dive, Small Hope Resort is the next bay south of Davis Creek and it’s possible to book some diving/snorkelling with them if they are not fully booked. Coffee drinkers make sure to take plenty of your favourite coffee with you as there is very little choice in the local stores. Kenya's Bakery in Fresh Creek makes the most delicious coconut bread! Be sure to pack some good bug repellent, when the sea breeze drops you may need it. We had a really great holiday and will definitely return to this beautiful rustic little island.

Well worth the trip to Andros!

Our family had an excellent time in one of Trevor's beach cottages. We spent 7 days on Andros and were well looked after by Trevor, Princess and Mario. The kitchen and laundry were great and we were happy with our beach front cottage, merely steps from the beautiful water. Cell phone and TV worked great! Snorkeling from the cottage was fine, not coral, but we did see fish, especially at low tide. Things close on Sunday's so make sure you have food and water. The National Park is a short drive from here and you can access two in-land Blue Holes with walkways. Make sure to stop by the Park headquarter at Fresh Creek during the week, the people who work there are wonderful and can point you in the right direction for birding as well. Rainbow Blue Hole is up the road a little way from the cottage by bike or car. It's a short walk in but make sure to wear good walking shoes as the coral path is rough and there is a lot of poison wood around. The Blue Hole is beautiful and worth a swim. If you have a car visit North Andros for the cliff, caves and most importantly, the ocean blue hole at the end of Conch Sound Road in Nicholls Town. We only found out about this after talking to a local restaurant owner. You drive to the end of the road, turn left along the water and park at the end. You walk from the shore about 20 feet at low tide. You can see the blue hole from the beach. Snorkeling around the hole was awesome, the current coming out of the hole is strong, you can see great fish! Try and go at low tide, a must visit spot. Just up from the cottage is the Taste and See Restaurant owned by Cinderella, who is a great cook. Call ahead as the schedule varies. This is a great spot. Snorkel trips by boat from Small Hope Bay Resort just south of Davies Creek. The prices as reasonably for a 2 hour trip. We heard that the lunch is good and worth the $18 per person, though we did not go. The neighbors by the cottages are really great. The neighborhood dogs are sweet and part of the rustic charm. Our son lined-fished from the Fresh Creek dock and caught us dinner one night. We talked to everyone around town, people are really nice and we got the best information that way. Conch salad from the yellow shack near the traffic circle in FC was great, so if they are open, stop by. I found out about it from someone living on a sailboat who works at the US Navy Base. We took the Ferry from Nassau, it was a great trip in and I would recommend it. I did take Dramamine.

First Time in Andros - Won't Be The Last!

I make it a practice to visit some place new at least once a year. This was my "someplace new" this year. Visiting an unfamiliar area usually means a certain level of anxiety: making sure I have what I need, how will I get around?, safe?, food/restaurants?, things to do, etc. This was a spring break trip with my 19 year old son. After more emails than poor Trevor could count, I had as much information as I could possibly have before our arrival. We flew into Nassau and then took LeAir to Andros. It was on that flight that we met some great people and got our first glimpse into the Andros "feel". Laid-back, easy-going, "no worries, mon!" Trevor arranged for a cab to pick us up at the airport and after about 10 minutes, we arrived at this glorious little cottage. Pictures and listing were exactly as described. Kitchen was furnished with coffeemaker, gas stove, full-size fridge, microwave, and enough cooking utensils/dinnerware for 2 (would work for a few more, too). We ate most of our meals in; eating out only 3 times. Saved a lot of $$. A small grocery store was about 1 mile away and quickly accessed with the bikes we had available. We fell asleep to the wonderful sound of the ocean & great breezes. We had the neighborhood safely patrol in the form of 5 island dogs, known as potcakes. They bonded quickly with us and were happy to walk and swim along with us. Trevor called to make sure we arrived safely and that everything was ok. Property managers, Princess and Mario, are adorable. Mario was available for any hands-on fixes that were required and Princess was beyond gracious with her desire to make sure we had everything we needed. Prepare yourself for the biting sand flies (Trevor recommended Skin So Soft, which worked for us!). They were only bad in the early evening if there was no breeze. We made quick friends with our "neighbors", as it is a very small enclave of vacation rentals. Everybody was laid-back & relaxed. A great group of people. Andros is very large, but very quiet. You won't find big resorts. You'll probably be the only people on the beach....for miles. Seriously. If you like 5* restaurants - you'll have to find another island. If you like 5* service...ditto. However, if you like to walk pristine beaches and not be interrupted by another soul (except maybe a dog!), crack open your own coconuts (we found plenty!), explore quiet creeks, blue holes, mangroves, pine forests - well, then you may have found paradise.

Another month in bone fish heaven!

31st January - 5th March 2014 Another month in sunny, laid back, rustic Andros has passed and has been as much fun as last year, good to be reacquainted with friends that we made last year (Phil, Jan, Joe to name a few) not forgetting our canine friends Mercedes, Baby, Milly, Bella, Buckie and Shadow the new dog on the block who all escorted us on every walk along the beach we took and also swam with us! The weather has been 90% amazing and just perfect for fishing, we have never seen as many bonefish and had them fighting over our flies and even swimming over our feet - just superb! The fishing flats here are vast and firm for wading, the best that we have come across in the Bahamas that are so easily accessible, Andros is a true bone fisherman's paradise whether you are a DIY fisherman or take a guide. We also fished quite regularly from the dock and shore where we caught a variety of fish, 'cuda, snapper, jacks, box fish, hound fish all of which tasted so good and kept our energy levels up for the miles of wading for what we really came for - bone fish! The wild life here won't let you down, we saw dolphins swim past our cottage, turtles, manta rays, sting rays, eagle rays, ospreys swooping down to catch fish, herons, egrets and even a wild pig. Once again we have to say a very big thank you to Princess and Mario who were both on hand for any help and advice needed. Mario has a wealth of fish preparation information (box fish, ‘cuda, hound fish - some of the fish we caught were a little unusual to us) we also have to thank him for his sky juice recipe! The cottage has been a wonderful place to stay, very clean, comfortable bright and airy, we also welcomed the improvements that Trevor has made in the last year, new bed, new aircon unit, new covers on the sofas, fly screen on the door.... keep up the good work Trevor. This is truly an amazing place to have an adventure holiday, fish, kayak, swim/snorkle or just relax on the beach with a good book. We will be back!

Davis Creek Treasure

My husband and I have stayed at this wonderful beachfront cottage twice, each time for two weeks. In May, 2014, we are staying for an entire month! That's how much we love it. The owner, Trevor, has perfectly described his piece of heaven. The house is well appointed and the property is beautifully kept. If you love dogs, this is the place for you! Known as Royal Bahamian Potcakes, these friendly dogs will capture your hearts, as they have done ours. There are helpful neighbors around if you need anything or information. Princess and Mario, Trevor's sister and brother- in-law, are wonderful people...in fact, they now feel like family. A rental car is imperative, as there are so many special places to visit. But if you're the bicycle type, there are two to use. The fishing is world class. My husband went on a bonefish trip with guide Tommy Key and is still raving about it! So, if you want a completely different vacation from any you've taken before, this is your place. In fact, I was reticent to write this review, as I wanted to keep this jewel all to myself!

Total Relaxation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Treasures of Andros! Trevor was so helpful in the logistics of planning our trip from start to finish. His lovely sister, Princess and family were always just a quick phone call away if we needed anything. She even gave me a ride to the store to stock up on a few supplies at the beginning of our trip, as the location is several miles from town. The quaint cottage is right on the water. It was such a joy to wake and have morning coffee on the deck overlooking the most blue water you will ever see! The neighbors couldn't have been any more welcoming, friendly and helpful to us! We felt like a part of the community there from day one. Even the beach dogs made us feel like family, accompanying us on our beach walks. Be sure to stock up on bottled water and any supplies needed at the small store before getting to the cottage. We were glad we brought lots of food with us, as the stores are very limited in what they carry. If you have any special dietary needs, be sure to bring supplies, as the island is quite primitive. If you like to get away from it all and have miles of beautiful empty beaches, than this is your place!

July Holiday

My husband and I spent a lovely two weeks in Trevor's one bedroom cottage. The beautiful turquoise sea was just outside the back door, and we enjoyed snorkeling, swimming and long beach explorations to the creeks in both directions - and also doing a whole lot of nothing! The cottage was clean and had two AC units, and Trevor, his sister Princess, and her husband Mario were always available if anything was needed - they went out of their way to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had the use of bicycles which enabled us to get around and explore several of the settlements south and north of us, and also to shop for groceries. If you wish, however, to go further south than Fresh Creek, explore the northern part of Andros, or get out to the Blue Hole (highly recommended!) you will definitely want a car. Our neighbors in Fresh Creek were all very friendly and hospitable and we enjoyed socializing with them when we weren't in the water or taking in the amazing wildlife just outside our door. We observed baby sharks, barracuda, sea turtles, a moray eel, all kinds of beautiful tropical fish, ccrabs, urchins, mollusks and seabirds - as well as the highly entertaining and loveable neighborhood dogs. A word of advice: Bring lots of bug spray if you come in summer. And, as tempting as the ocean breezes are, do not sleep with the windows open in the bedroom! The no-see-ums (a.k.a. midges, sandflies) will come right through the screens at dawn and dusk. Davis Creek is charming and beautiful, a perfect place to relax, but Andros is not without it's challenges. If you want to be entertained or pampered or enjoy fine dining and shopping - stick to New Providence or Paradise. But if you enjoy diving, fishing, snorkeling, beautiful remote beaches and wildlife, have a sense of adventure and enjoy getting to know local life, Andros is the island for you. And Trevor's cottages in Davis Creek are a lovely, affordable option to make your home base.

Truly wonderful!

We stayed at this property for a month and truthfully enjoyed every minute of our stay. First of all the property which is managed by Princess and her husband Mario (lovely people who genuinely care that you have a good holiday) was exactly as described, it was exceptionally clean and very well cared for. We ran out of cooking gas towards the end of our stay, one telephone call and literally 10 minutes later we were hooked up to a new bottle of gas and cooking again - You really can't beat that for service! The owner Trevor was extremely helpful, providing us with lots of useful local information and advice, he was also very accommodating during the whole booking process - We really could not recommend him more! It's the perfect place to stay for DIY Bonefishing with vast flats nearby that are easily accessible by foot, there are local fishing guides available for hire for those that wish to fish the less accessible and more remote areas or have limited time to catch their trophies. We even caught Bonefish right outside of the apartment along with many other varieties of more edible fish (we didn't go hungry!) We had a wonderful time fishing, snorkeling, beach-combing and exploring - if you come across a piece of Androsia cloth tied to a tree or bush, ignore it at your peril as it invariably marks a track to a fantastic fishing spot or an amazing beauty spot. Andros really is a wonderful island, full of laid back, rustic charm, it is the perfect place to visit to 'get away from it all' and all of the local people we met were friendly, kind, generous and full of great humour. Of all of the places that we have traveled to this is one that we really would love to return to again! Thank-you Trevor, Princess and Mario for your help, advice and attention to detail, we truly had a wonderful time.

Wonderful Value and Exceptional Service

My husband and I choose this property because of its location on the ocean near Fresh Creek and its reasonable price. The listing and the photographs were very accurate, and we were delighted with our choice. What we hadn't expected was the wonderful personal service provided by our host Trevor Hanna and his family. Because we flew into the airport at the north end of Andros Island and Fresh Creek is in Central Andros, Trevor made a special trip north to pick us up, helped us shop for groceries, showed us around and delivered us to our cottage. He introduced us to members of his family and provided lots of great information about Andros. We loved the detailed maps he created to help us navigate the area. Although the weather was a bit too cool and windy for swimming the week we were there, we loved watching the beautiful sunsets over the ocean from our deck. We had some lovely experiences visiting the nearby National Park to look for birds and exploring the community of Fresh Creek. Everyone we met was helpful and friendly, especially the folks at the Andros Conservancy and Trust where we got good advice on where to find the rare endemic Bahama Oriole. Staff there helped my husband locate a great guide to take him flyfishing on the west side of the island for bonefish, permit and tarpon. This is quite a distance from Fresh Creek so it made for a very long, but highly successful, day. We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend this cottage for an adventuresome holiday for independent couples.

Cozy little place on a beautiful rustic coastline!

This was an ideal place for me and my two scuba diving buddies. The coastline here is lovely and is only a short, pleasant stroll to other even more private beaches. The walk to the local dive resort Small Hope Divers takes about 15 minutes on the beach, but we were also provided with bikes that got us there in 5-10 minutes via the road. The landlord Trevor was staying just across the way and was very helpful in arranging airport transportation and car rental for us. (He also helped us get back in our place when we accidentally locked ourselves out.) A really friendly guy. There was a handful of locals living in the area who were also very friendly and generous with us. This is truly a rustic island experience--there are very few restaurants around, the markets are sparsely supplied, and the roads can be a little rough. But you might find your neighbor showing up to offer you some freshly caught fish--or you could catch it yourself! If you're looking for remoteness and authenticity, this is a very comfortable place from which to base yourself--and Trevor couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.

Had a Lovely Stay Here

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment for a few days.. Very clean, great location, fantastic sunrises to watch on the deck with a coffee in the morning. Good WiFi, flat screen tv, made friends with the local dogs who are all so friendly, one in particular we wanted to adopt. Trevor was very helpful, rang when we got to apartment to check all ok and his sister Princess popped round to make sure all was ok and to offer any help we needed. We were here to visit our daughter who is currently working with Greenforce at Staniard Creek. Went snorkelling and diving, visited a blue hole which was stunning and so warm, Somerset Beach, Kristina's Cafe for conch fritters, Androsia factory and also Coconut Farm for dinner which was really nice. All the locals were very friendly. Went also to TImmy's Colors Bar, he is a lovely guy and does ridiculous measures of rum and coke!..... If you want a measure like you get back in the UK then ask for a coke and rum! Got some great bites from the Doctor flies at the beach, you really do need to kill them....then kill them again! An oil based moisturiser apparently works well against them, that and a well aimed slap. Photos of the property are accurate apart from there are some more railings around the decking now and more furniture.

Most relaxing vacation

We really enjoyed our short vacation in this beach house in late November 2011. The house was exactly how we expected based on the descriptions and the pictures posted here. It was very clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that on windy nights the sound of the wind was very loud in the bedroom, which is just a few meters away from the sea. But we took that as part of the adventure and as a trade-off for being able to get out of bed and take exactly three steps to the patio, where we spent our mornings sipping coffee for hours looking at the ocean. For most days we had the beach to ourselves. A perfect getaway if you're looking for tranquility and nature. You can rent a car if you want, but we preferred to ride the two bikes available at the property for trips around the island, and the very nice, friendly neighbours also gave us a couple of rides in their cars. The owner was very helpful with our questions and requests. All in all we had a great time and would definitely recommend this place to our friends!
