Walk to UF! Historic King Bed Loft w/ Private Deck

If you are visiting Gainesville, look no further than Camellia Loft. This historic gem was built in 1924 and has been freshly renovated to bring it into the modern era.

Enjoy the birdsong and majestic trees from your private deck overlooking the backyard—or relax inside as light streams through the loft`s massive skylights.

Only 0.5 miles to UF campus and exactly 1 mile to the stadium, you can easily walk to campus or games. Unwind by the shared fire pit or enjoy cooking on the grill

With soaring cathedral ceilings, this light-filled A-frame loft provides everything you will need for your stay in Gainesville.

BED

The king bed is equipped with four pillows and hotel-grade bedding to ensure you will have a peaceful night`s rest when you stay here. If you have a third person in your party, we have an additional twin mattress that will be pulled out and made up for your stay (see photos). For a fourth person, we have a twin air mattress that will be provided (guest sets up in desired location).

TV

There is a projector and Fire TV Stick with multiple streaming platforms, so you can snuggle up and watch your favorite shows. We offer Hulu Live TV, Disney+, and ESPN+. Hulu`s Live TV is the best way to catch just about any televised sports event.

BATHROOM

The bathroom features an expansive four-foot skylight in the shower. Watch red-tailed hawks soar and cardinals flit by as you take a rinse. Enjoy the vanity area with a large mirror as you get ready for a night on the town at one of Gainesville`s many attractions.

KITCHENETTE/DINING

You will be provided a fully stocked coffee and tea bar with a quartz sink, mini fridge, and microwave, along with essential kitchen tools to make light meals.

Enjoy your favorite meal at the right-sized dining table—or sit in one of the comfortable chairs while you work remotely using the lightning fast fiber-optic WiFi.

OUTSIDE

Surrounded by towering oak trees, you will find the private deck tranquil and peaceful. This is a great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening while viewing the magnificent Florida sunsets.

You will have access to the entire loft and private deck. The loft is a separate structure on the same property as the main house, which is also available on Airbnb.

The backyard, patio, and grill are shared spaces with main house guests.

Our neighborhood is a peaceful escape in the heart of Gainesville right next to UF. Enjoy strolling the streets under the shade of majestic oak trees, or eat a peaceful lunch on the picnic benches adjacent to our neighborhood pond. If you wish to venture further, it`s a short walk to UF campus or the UF Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and Stephen O`Connell Center. You will also be walking distance (1.5 miles) to the UF Bat Houses and Lake Alice.

On busy game days, you can easily walk to the UF stadiums. There is ample onsite parking and you will have a designated parking spot in front of the two car garage. You will also be in a central location to explore the rest of Gainesville and all its wonderful attractions. The house is less than a 15 minute drive to the three top breweries in Gainesville, 7 minutes from downtown, 7 minutes to the HARN and Natural History Museum, and 3 minutes to Midtown.

Please note, there is a flight of stairs that leads up to the elevated porch where you enter the loft.

The driveway is narrow. Please be mindful of the house when pulling in and backing out.

Violating any of the house rules can lead to your reservation being canceled immediately without a refund.

• We do not charge extra for additional guests. However, the number of guests staying MUST match the number of guests specified on the reservation. No unregistered guests are allowed on the property at any time.
• Pets are not allowed. Any evidence of pets may incur a $500 deep cleaning fee.
• No smoking or vaping inside or on property. Any evidence of these activities may incur a minimum $1,000 deep cleaning fee.
• Fires, candles, fireworks, and other open flames are prohibited
• No firearms allowed on property
• Do not move furniture
• Do not unplug, move, or tamper with electronic devices (WiFi, security system, locks, etc.)
• Parties, special events, and retreats are not allowed per City of Sedona local ordinance
• Minimum age to book a reservation is 25 years old. Additional guests may be younger.
• Guest making the reservation must have identity verified through Airbnb and a current phone number listed
• A $25 shipping and handling fee applies to items left behind

We are committed to complying with state and local regulations, which is why you will be asked to complete a guest verification process after booking.

You will receive an email and a text with a link to complete the verification. This process is completed by a third party company called Truvi. We do not see any of your private information.

Truvi will collect a non-refundable credit card authorization fee of $10. This allows them to collect reimbursement if damage is discovered after your stay, without having to actually hold a damage deposit.

Please be sure to complete this process WITHIN 24 HOURS of making your reservation. If the verification process is not completed, we cannot legally host you and we will be forced to cancel your reservation, potentially without a refund.
