Beautiful property for our small graduation celebration. Only about 12 minutes from downtown kirksville so very easy to get to the events. The views from the front porch are peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.
It is a few miles out of Kirksville so if you want to be close to town but not the town noise, this is the place to go. It was so peaceful and charming. The morning you could sit out on the porch and drink coffee and just listen to the county sounds. The owners were very nice and had great communication. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be out in the country!!!!.
We really enjoyed the stay. Very clean and cozy. If i had to kick on anything it would be that when i booked it it had on site that i booked from stated that the house had a hottub. It did not and never has. But still had an enjoyable weekend
We came to visit friends in the area and found this gem. It is a cute place that is clean and perfect for what we needed. What was super kind is the owners, knowing we were coming in late, left the key in the door knob so we wouldnât have to search for it and left the outside porch lights on for us. So nice of them. It is easy to get too and just so beautiful and peaceful. We loved the setting! If/when we come back we would hope to stay here again.
I wish this property was available since 2019, when my son first started at Truman State University. If so, then I would have booked every visit we made and stayed here instead of the hotels. The house is a short 10 minutes drive from town on a farm property. In the evenings, my husband and I sat on the porch and listened to the birds chirp and cows moo. The sky was partly cloudy, but we could see peaking through the night sky full of stars. If you love astronomy and live in the city, then that's a treat. One last thing, the roads up to the house are gravel; I don't mind driving on gravel roads... but in case you do that is a decision factor
Very rural and quiet property. Perfect for that first cup of coffee on the porch - the birds singing, the dew glistening on the grass, the misty morning light. A wonderful place to connect with God.
The lodgings were as described and more. The house was comfortable and the host made it super easy to locate the property. If I have another occasion to be in the area I would book again.
