As seen on Twin Cities Live, the Fargo Forum and Star Tribune! 5 mins from downtown DL! A serene and beautiful place to rest, relax and rejuvenate! Chapel House, built in 1903 has served as a Norwegian chapel and boutique over its long life. The space has been transformed for all to gather, make memories and enjoy. The new floor plan highlights the steeple, original 24ft scalloped ceiling design & the gorgeous setting. The Chapel now has a fully functioning open concept great room, gourmet kitchen, 3 full bedrooms/ 2.5 baths. All brand new and high end!
The space.
While keeping the beauty and integrity of the 113 year old structure we have given it love and an expanded purpose. Chapel House is a unique space and a perfect place to have a private weekend away or gather as a group to celebrate life’s major milestones! Anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, bachelorette parties, baby showers, retreats… you name it! The space is stunning, open and versatile. 24ft scalloped ceilings, stained glass and everything brand new; Chapel House is ready to welcome people to celebrate.
The master ensuite (upper level) features a king bed with a custom stained glass window above which flows into the beautiful ceiling. From the bed you can gaze through the 9ft window and out to the rolling farmland. The master bathroom has an oversized shower, dual sinks and gorgeous tile work.
The basement contains the 2 other bedrooms and full bathroom. The Navy Blue Suite has a very comfortable queen bed, complete with twin size trundle that can be rolled out for additional sleeping options. The burgundy bunk room has a queen over queen bunk beds and an additional ottoman that can be converts to a twin bed! Lots of options for large groups to enjoy the space.
*Please note* Pricing is based on 4 guests and use of owners ensuite and navy blue suite and all common areas. Burgundy bunk room will remain locked unless additional guests book their stay. Daily rental option available for private events. Send owner a message for details and pricing. Pets are allowed case by case. Message for details.

I’m a world traveler with Minnesota roots! So far I’ve been to over 20 countries including Thailand, Australia, South Korea, Brazil, Portugal, Ireland, lived in Greece.... and the list goes on but there is still so many places left to explore!! We welcome you to Chapel House; a place special in our hearts. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!! But first, here’s a bit more about us...
I grew up just outside of Moorhead, Minnesota and graduated from the University of North Dakota. That’s where I met my husband, Adam and we decided to start a life together full of adventure. Right out of college, we lived and worked in CA for 4 years. Adam, as a Mechanical Engineering manager at Northrop Grumman and myself as a Global Account Executive at Pearson Education. A promotion moved us across the country to Maryland, where we lived and worked for 6 years. I went into residential real estate halfway through our Maryland stay and have never looked back. It was about that time we decided we wanted to eventually return to the Midwest, raise our family and live on the lake. Adam took a job in Detroit Lakes as the Director of Engineering and I continue to grow my Maryland real estate business, traveling back and forth in addition to my MN and ND RE business.
We moved to the area and build our home in rural Audubon in 2018 (just 10 minutes down the road). When our contractor walked off the job halfway through, we learned a lot about general contracting! While a miserable experience we would never wish on anyone, it taught us a lot and made us unafraid of projects like the Chapel. We fell in love with the setting, the structure and the history and we wanted to create a place where people would love to gather! We hope you make a million happy memories here. Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
Chapel House is something special; like out of a dream! When we purchased the building 1 year ago it was in need of some major TLC. Construction of the Chapel began in 1903 and it has been moved twice. The scalloped ceiling design was original as were the window shapes and placement. We were able to enhance the beauty of the building but give it new life and expanded purpose. We are proud of the work that we did and all that enter find a sense of beauty and calm.
