Walking in is like going to grandmas house. 3 Large bedrooms, 4th bedroom is a loft that overlooks the livingroom. Great for the kiddos . Open concept kitchen, and living room with vaulted ceilings. Walk outside to a large deck overlooking large backyard, or sit on front porch and watch trains when they come by. Close to Bourbon trail and local horse farms. Convenient to Louisville and Lexington. Walking distance to downtown Shelbyville, where you can visit the antique shops or enjoy the local restaurants.
We stayed here 2 nights for PGA Championships. Everything was great. Host very prompt with communication. House was clean. King bedroom was comfortable. Nice linens. We would definitely stay again.
This house was amazing! We were in town for a family memberâs wedding and it was perfect for everything we needed. And the owners are top notch! They were so responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!
Although we had a little hiccup with our check-in, our local owner/hosts Phil and Chris were great hosts for our group of four couples (8 people). Once we connected they made sure everything was ready for our arrival. The house has a lot of rustic charm with many cool and unique furnishings. The full kitchen had everything we needed for preparing our meals in the morning before heading out on the Bourbon Trail and relaxing in the evenings. It is conveniently located close to many of the central KY distilleries (we hit 5 in one day).Although located right across from the railroad tracks, the overnight trains will definitely wake the light sleepers, but none of us had trouble falling back asleep after they went through. Just be aware ahead of time you'll hear them, but don't let that steer you away from this great VRBO.
Phil was great at communicating and responding. The Victorian home was as described. You got the modern conveniences with the Victorian vibe all in one. Clean and plenty of amenities and extra blankets which I was grateful for. While it was secluded in the back, I would have liked blinds or shutters on the big bay windows for privacy where the kids were on the sleeper sofa. Otherwise itâs was perfect!
This was a beautiful farm home with plenty of space. The owner was extremely accommodating and friendly. The house is situated right next to a train track, so if you're a light sleeper this isn't the place for you. We didn't mind the train, though so it didn't affect our stay at all!
House is great. 3 bedrooms 2 baths on main floor very nicely decorated. Little loft very tight and hot. In an industrial area across from railroad tracks. Lots of trains all day and night. And chickens with 2 roosters who often crow.
This house was super cute a little gem in the middle of an industrial area across from a working railroad (17) over the weekend lol. It was charming to us but it might be a deal breaker for others. The house is so cute and well stocked like really well stocked and plenty of hot water for our family of 10. The house backs to a creek and has chickens that could be let into the yard or not which we all enjoyed from the large covered back deck. The hosts were just great and very responsive. We were there for a wedding and it was perfect location to downtown. Definitely recommend

Girls trip
The house itself was nicely remodled, nice tile work and modern baths. There were lots of ants in the kitchen and food left in fridge and freezer. Limited toilet paper and no soap. The street was on the industrial side of a very active railroad track with trains running 4-5/night with loud horns. Noisy busness on 1 side and boarded up house on the other side. Not to mention large amount of chickens including a rooster out back just behind the fence that the owners come and tend to.
