Lake Como is a PRIVATE BEACH. Parking passes are mandatory to enter the beach or the lake itself. Upon checkin your pass will be located in the kitchen on the countertop. This must be placed back upon checkout.
No parties or events allowed (without owner approval)

The home was not as depicted. The front door looked as if it had been kicked in. We opened the rear patio door and was unable to close it. The shades in all the rooms were either torn and ripped or unusable. The unit was filthy with ants in the silverware drawer and bugs throughout the house. The living room furniture was stained and dirty. We requested a refund because we did not stay due to safety issues with the doors. We did not get a refund, would not reccommed.

Response from Management: We take guest feedback seriously, but we also believe in addressing misinformation with facts. This review does not accurately reflect the condition of our property. The front door has never been kicked in — it is secure and in good working order. The rear patio door opens and closes perfectly, and all curtains and shades in the home are brand new. Prior to every guest arrival, the home is professionally cleaned and inspected, which includes checking for pests. NO such issues were found before or after this guest’s stay. In this case, the guest’s claims were reviewed by their credit card company, and we provided clear evidence disproving them. The dispute was resolved in our favor because the allegations were determined to be FRAUDULANT & FAKE. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests, and we encourage future visitors to read our many positive reviews that reflect the true experience of staying with us.

Nice Place, Location and Great Host.

Nice place in a good location. Not on the Lake but close by in a quiet neighborhood and not far from Lake Geneva. Check in was simple with the emailed code and had no issue. Host was very interactive through email. Kitchen and living room were great, sleeper sofa was surprisingly comfy. Charcoal grill on porch came in handy. Only minor thing - shower handle was loose like previous reviewer noted, but could be held in place to work just fine, so no biggie. Overall met expectations and enjoyed the place.

Host Doesn’t pay utilities bills!

Host did not keep up on his electrical bill and the power company turned off the power the day after we checked in. VRBO relocated us to a local hotel where we stayed for the remainder of our vacation. Was a big disruption for the family and our vacation.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunate there was a power outage in the area. This was not caused by the owners. The power was turnback on the same day.

Excellent, phenomenal communication from host, The most great Host I have ever been experienced.

House Listing is described as is online and wonderful communication between me and host. Very close to Downtown Lake Geneva only 3 miles away. Honestly I visited every single one of them, Each of them had unique Style liked it very much. Unfortunately Lake was closed because during Winter time. Summer time would be different experience I have no doubt. Bed were very comfortable . Me personally Firm mattress person but this one shocked me how comfortable was. House had everything you need. I liked mostly Big Mounted TV, Enjoyed it very much. Will stay future travel.

Good start on renovations but lacking

We experienced issues from the start with communication. When we did get emails from the host, there was conflicting information, such as two different entry codes, and incorrect instructions on how to use the keyless entry. NOT what you want when checking in at 12:30am after a 13 hr drive. And we never were able to access the check out instruction link. There was only an email for communication, so had it been an issue getting in during check-in (other than the 20 minutes it took us), we would have had no one to contact for help. The renovated parts of this property are nice. The AC works very well. The yard and deck area are also lovely and the location is safe and mostly quiet (to set expectations, a little road noise during the day, but NOT bad at all...) But the bathroom renovations are not completed. The condition of the bathroom was unacceptable. The shower handle broke, was "fixed" and broke again during our stay, and the condition of the tub/shower is really awful. (the picture is not accurate). Also, if you are planning to do laundry, plan to do it in the daytime, because the washer makes enough noise to wake the dead. The kitchen is not as nice as the filtered pictures look in the listing.

You get what you pay for, I guess...We had many issues with this stay. 1) When we arrived The master bedroom had no electricity, plus part of the living room. Which meant CPAP machine couldn't be used for sleeping, and TV wouldn't work. The host did arrive the next day to fix. We appreciated that. (However, as they seem to use a "virtual agent" many of our concerns and issues were never addressed during our stay). 2) The refrigerator motor is on the fritz...when we returned from our evening out the fridge was making an extremely loud noise (Motor not greased?)...it was so loud that we had to turn off the fridge. There goes all the food and beverages we purchased. 3) Bathroom had dead bugs in the tub when we arrived, and bugs crawling on the walls. The faucet for the tub falls off with the slightest of adjustments, making it hard to get the right water temperature. 4) I spilled some water on the kitchen floor, used a white towel wipe up the little spill and the towel was dark brown with one little wipe of the towel. Seems as if the floor hadn't been mopped in quite a while. 5) The spray hose on the kitchen sink is non-functioning. Seems like you get what you pay for....The location is fine for access/proximity to Lake Geneva...However, this VRBO stay could really use some TLC if it wants to be part of the rental property world.
