We loved this home and want to share why âTHOUGHTFULâ is the best word to describe it. The VRBO pictures do a great job of setting expectations, but there were many extras that made it feel more like staying at a friendâs home than simply renting a house for a week.
âą Propane for the outdoor grill, wood pile for the fire pit
âą Snacks as a nice welcome
âą Coffee and tea supplies
âą TONS of beach supplies (chairs, wagon, ânoodlesâ)
âą Abundance of dishes, pans, silverware and utensils
âą Lots of seating and large dinner table
âą Huge TVâs in in the family area and each bedroom
âą Plenty of A/C capacity!
âą Huge bathrooms
âą Cargo elevator to make getting your things upstairs a breeze
âą Shade over parts of the pool, providing a break from the sun
âą Property security...driveway gate for cars, pedestrian gate for walking
The location was great. Itâs a relatively quiet spot between Gulfport and downtown Biloxi. We could get to Wal-Mart and the mall in no time. Itâs also next door to âBeauvoirâ, which was Jefferson Davisâs summer home. We took the tour and visited the museum and library there, which were very educational.
The beach is a five-minute walk, and there is a Circle K en route to the beach, which was nice. We felt like we had our own private beach with dunes and everything. I donât think we saw 10 people on the beach all week. If you choose to vacation at this location, I think youâll be glad you did and hope you agree thoughtfulness abounds!
