THE SPACE
This gorgeous 2 bedroom apartment is a 25-30 minute drive from Niagara Falls and a little over a mile walk to Hertel Avenue- one of the most popular entertainment areas in our city. You can get to the airport in about 15 minutes from our home. The apartment is on the upper level of a duplex home. Parking is free on the street. Please read street signs for instructions for which side of the street to park on.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have access to the entire apartment which is private. The main door to the home opens to common hallway where you will find your private door and apartment.

Parking is free on the street.

GUEST INTERACTION
Generally I try to give you your space as you are most likely on vacation. If any issues arise I always will do my best to make sure they are handled promptly. You can get into the home via our smart lock key pad at anytime ( I will send detailed description with photos on how to enter the home).

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

For the safety of guests I have a video camera mounted outside the entrance area. This is only on the entrance and driveway.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
North Buffalo is a fantastic location in our fine city. The street is is very quiet and located within walking distances of some great places to dine (about mile walk to Hertel Ave/Parkside area). Just down the street (5 Min walk) on Kenmore Ave is one of the most popular Italian restaurants in all the city: Sinatra’s, a new gourmet hot dog joint called Franks and one of the best burgers in town Vizzis.

GETTING AROUND
Uber and Lyft work great if you aren't coming with a car. This house is located right near a bus line as well (200meters away) should you want to access public transport. The bus can then take you to University at Buffalo South Campus which is has a stop on the Metro Train. The train can then take you all the way to our waterfront and Key Bank Center (where concerts and NHL hockey games are held).

We had a nice weekend at this property and appreciated the layout and location. It was close to family. However, there were a few maintenance and cleanliness issues that came up during our stay that were frustrating. There was a broken bathroom window, a broken couch and dining chair, and some areas that could use a deeper clean (floors, corners, closets, and a few dishes/cabinets). These didn’t ruin our stay, but addressing them would have made the home feel much more comfortable. With a bit of refreshing and more attention to detail, this could be a really great rental. Hopefully some updates will be made for future guests. We would probably not stay here again but it worked as a last minute booking.

You reached out to us during your stay and mentioned that there were a few issues, but that you would share the details after checkout. We wish you had informed us sooner, as we would have immediately sent our cleaners to resolve any concerns and addressed other issues as well, such as the bathroom window and the chair/sofa. After speaking with our cleaning team, we can confirm that the apartment was cleaned as usual prior to your arrival. However, we are very sorry that this did not meet your expectations. As a gesture of goodwill, we refunded the $50 cleaning fee immediately after hearing about your experience. Short Stay

Although we had a short stay here, we enjoyed it. Clean and spacious. This cute home accommodated all of our needs. Conveniently located not too far from the airport or Niagara Falls!

Overall Good

This was a really nice location and everything listed on the booking was available. My dad and I were looking for a place near UB Campus so really great location! The main issue me and my dad had was cleanliness. The beds were made and things seemed in order, however the night stands were really dusty and some of the dishes didn’t seem clean (etc tea pot or mugs). Thankfully, dish soap is provided and we were able to wash any dishes we wanted to use. Additionally, I choose this place because it had a no pet policy but after staying I am not sure how well that rule is upheld by guest. My dad and I are allergic to cats, my dad more so than me, and we were definitely were having a strong reaction during our stay, which made sleeping a challenge. A previous guest might have brought a cat against the policy, which isn’t the host’s fault, however, with the cleaning fee we pay on Vrbo, I wish there was more precaution and effort in ensuring the place was a pet free zone. Besides this, everything we could need was in our reach, the host had a nice binder of information about Buffalo, the apartment, and reminders of the policy and checkout. Overall all review, the host was good at checking in and sending information when needed, the place was a great location and parking on the street wasn’t bad, and although the beds were nicely made, the cleanliness seemed lacking and that is a big issue for me. Therefore, I would rate this a 3.5/5 but have it a three on Vrbo because my dad refused to round up to a four.

I am very glad you enjoyed your stay and it was a pleasure hosting you and your father. I am disappointed to hear about the dust on the furniture and dirty dishes found. I have professional cleaners contracted to clean my property inside and out and have communicated the importance to them of making sure these areas aren’t missed and to pay particular attention to them in the future. With regards to my no pet policy. I have a very strict no pet policy which is listed in my house rules on all of my online listings and inside the apartment booklet containing the house rules. I even include a fine of there is evidence found of pets inside of the property. It is to the best of my knowledge and my cleaners knowledge that I have not had anyone bring a pet inside the property. I will continue to be vigilant and enforce this important house rule.
