Escape the city life at the Cardinal Cabin. A short trip from Atlanta, Cardinal Cabin is the ideal getaway for couples, families or for a much needed solo retreat to the GA mountains. Come stay and play in our game room, chill in the hot tub and bring your S'more kit for the backyard fire pit. Enjoy the fresh air, and resort amenities: a community pool, rec room and workout facilities. Hit the wineries and local shops/eats in Ellijay.
The space
Escape to a spacious, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom. beautiful "A-frame", featuring a double-sided fireplace in the center of the cabin. Large windows allow the sun to flood the living room with natural light. The master suite boasts black out curtains for much needed rest, a 40" Roku enabled TV for binge watching and an ensuite bathroom with a jetted tub. The junior master also boasts black out curtains for much needed rest and has a 40" Roku enabled TV, a desk for any computer needs and an ample en suite bath room with a shower/tub combination.

All of the bedrooms have table side lamps with USB ports to charge all of your devices.

There's plenty of room for everyone to gather around the large dining room table after cooking on the upper deck grill and in the spacious kitchen with extra seating at the island bar. Make your favorite cup of coffee with your Keurig coffee maker with a drip coffee maker option.

Relax on the large leather couch in the living room, watching the fire and television or check out one of our bear rocking chairs. The upstairs outdoor deck gives plenty of space to eat outside on patio furniture or to spend some "me time" in the rocking chairs gazing at the trees, the stars and the fire pit below.

Downstairs is your happy zone. There's fun in store for everyone! The basement living room has a large 75" HD Roku TV, a comfy queen mattress pull out couch that can be used for sleeping and two large recliner chairs. The mini fridge and microwave make it easy to crack a cold one and watch the game, or sit at the bar to enjoy the view. Best of all, the game room has a TV for catching all the highlights, a foosball table, board games and an arcade game in-cabin.

The downstairs bed room gives plenty of space with twin beds, a 32" Roku television and fun chess art pieces. The third bathroom with a shower is located in the game room serving the downstairs basement so no one has to run upstairs from the backyard. With direct basement access to the jacuzzi and the fire pit, there's no shortage of fun to be had during your getaway at the Cardinal Cabin!

Outdoor spaces – There are plenty of outdoor activities to do while staying at the cabin. Relaxing at the fire pit, soaking in the hot tub may be all you need, but if you require some more activities you can head up to the Recreation Center (less than 5 min drive ) to swim in an indoor pool, workout in the gym, or play tennis. If you are feeling adventurous to hike some trails, the Bushy Head Trail is 30 minutes from the cabin to explore the beautiful back country of North Georgia.
Other things to note
***Ellijay is home to Georgia's largest apple festival, held in the fall of each year. There are plenty of great local restaurants and grocery stores for the "I forgot items..." less than a 10 minutes drive, but still far enough to be away. Please check out our book for suggestions.
