The property was lovely, just as listed, and the location right near Tanglewood canât be beat. We really enjoyed the beach, which was very peaceful and never crowded. The property feels very secluded and we enjoyed spending time on the back porch surrounded by woods. We would definitely come again!
We loved our stay at this little cottage in the woods. It's in a perfect location - near to Lenox, Stockbridge, Stockbridge Bowl, museums, and so many amazing hiking & biking trails. Our host was excellent, helpful, and communication was wonderful. We'd be delighted to stay here again!
My family had a great week here. Super close to skiing, hiking, and sledding destinations. The kitchen was well appointed and having a fireplace to come home to made the house very cozy. I would highly recommend Rebeccaâs house to anyone looking to spend time in the Berlshires.
We had a few hiccups in getting set up in this property, and then it was a simply beautiful, relaxing spot to spend a week. Weâd definitely vacation here again. Rebecca was a super-responsive host.
My wife and I stayed for two full weeks. The cabin was exactly like the pictures. All the furnishing are really nice, and the drive was salted (lots of snow before we had arrived).
We intend to come back to the area this summer and hope this home will be avaiable when we are ready to book our trip.
We had a lovely, peaceful visit. Enjoyed many of the surrounding towns Lenox, Lee, Southbridge, etc. Enjoyed Norman Rockwell Museum. Fireplace. lots of reading
Rebecca's home was delightful. The location was sublime, nestled near the end of a dead end dirt road. It was quiet and serene. The home itself had a perfect open floor plan, wood burning fireplace and screened porch. The bed was comfy, the heaters kept it nice and warm, the lighting extra nice with dimmers and the decor charming. I loved sitting on the couch and looking out the picture window at the tall trees and having no one around. Highly recommend!!
We stayed two weeks in this lovely home near Stockbridge Bowl. The house is approx two blocks from the lake and the shared community beach and I bought and used my kayak.
The house itself is in a quiet community with NO traffic, surrounded by lovely trees. Fireplace and screened-in porch make it homey. The kitchen had everything we could want and when we couldn't find things, Rebecca was very prompt and kind in helping us find what we needed.
Overall, a great stay!
We will be back!
The house was exactly as described and we appreciated that- it was so nice to have access to Stockbridge bowl within a 5 min walk. I would have appreciated having all the information about the house in a booklet as it typically is- Details about what we can use ( camping chairs in the front closet, etc). I was sent info via an email a day ahead about what to do when leaving, etc but each time I needed to refer to it , I had to keep
Looking on my phone., .Usually there is additional info such as the owners favorite restaurants etc. If I wasnât familiar with the area, that would have been very disappointing.
Communications were easy with Rebecca when I contacted her - always a quick response . We also appreciated her letting us check in an hour early and leaving later in our check out day since it was pouring when we would need to leave.
I do recommend this home .
We had the great pleasure of staying in Rebecca's home in the Beachwood community this August. The location could not be better. The home is located towards the end of lane that is not a through road and is surrounded by woods. You really can't see your neighbors. Yet it is a 5 - 7 minute walk to the community beach on the Stockbridge Bowl. The neighborhood is great for walking and running and everyone is so friendly. You are also incredibly close to cultural activities. Tanglewood is a mere 2.5 miles away and Shakespeare & Company not much further. You can be home from shows within minutes of their conclusion. Additionally, the charming towns of Stockbridge, Lenox and Great Barrington are within short driving distances. Further afield, you can visit Mt. Greylock and the museums of the northern Bershires on an easy day trip. We particularly enjoyed the Clark Museum where we saw the Edvard Munch special exhibition. Further afield, you can take in the excitement of the Saratoga race course on a slightly longer day trip. The home is well stocked and Rebecca was very responsive to our requests. Needless to say, our month at Rebecca's home flew by and we wholeheartedly recommend staying there.
House has plenty of room and a well-stocked kitchen. It is in a very quiet area developed about 50 years ago but maintained very well (although the access roads are a bit of a challenge). Easy access to Tanglewood (7 minutes), Stockbridge Bowl, (5 minutes), and Lenox (10 minutes). Would be happy to go back!
Second Thanksgiving week in Beachwood. From Great Dane sightings, discovering the beach and grove, and many neighborhood walks, so much fun was had. Truly thankful for a host like Rebecca. Maybe 2023 will bring opportunity for a visit at a different time of year. Just want to note to future guests, pitas at Vivaldiâs in Lee are awesome, pizza from Boema in Lenox is wicked good, you absolutely must have carnitas from Xicohtencatl in Great Barrington, and for meals created in the awesome kitchen do stock up on delish goods from Guidoâs in Pittsfield.
Just returned from this very comfortable rental. My family of five was extremely happy and comfortable in Rebecca's home.
The air conditioning made two hot and humid days very comfortable. The screened in porch was a godsend on the buggy days.
Easy check in and excellent communication with the owner. Beautiful lake with a great beach, sand bottom and crystal clear water.
We were very happy with this rental and would return in the future.
Perfect âget-awayâ spot for retirees or a family
This vacation home and the little lakeside community that surrounds it was really special. We spent hours just sitting on the screen porch, enjoying the quiet and woods. Perfect set up for families, especially with small children. A little beach on Stockbridge Bowl that is SUPER child friendly is a 5 minute (fun) walk through a very safe community.
Our goal was relaxation and lots and lots of music at Tanglewood, with occasional visits from family or friends while they were visiting the Berkshires. This place met every one of our wishes. The owner was fabulously nice and responsive to any questions we had. A great visit to a very special little spot.
Rebecca has maintained this lovely vacation home in such a way that you feel right at home upon arrival. I appreciated each morning I was able to rise and enjoy the fresh air on a walk around the neighborhood. What a great kitchen with excellent essentials and easy access to the outdoor gas grill. And the best part was being able to vacation with my kitty in a place that welcomed her openly. My sisters and I look forward to returning again in the new year.
Rebecca's place was just right for our early autumn stay in the Berkshires. Furnishings were comfortable and attractive, and the kitchen was well equipped. We had many enjoyable meals on the screen porch. The Beachwood community is secluded yet very convenient.
A peaceful and convenient location tucked away in a very private neighborhood. Rebecca was a terrific host and super responsive. House had all the stated amenities and was comfortable and safe. There were a few scratched and rusted pans and a chipped glass that could use to be replaced (or at least just tossed out totally), but otherwise the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was ideal for sightseeing and the AC mini-split units kept us super comfortable on a few of the unbearably hot days! I would stay again and recommend to others as well.
We had a lovely experience at Rebeccaâs home, nestled in a very sweet community within Stockbridge. Location could not be more amazing. It is on the Stockbridge Bowlâ great for swimming and kayaking, with great hiking, biking and running just on the road a short 10 min walk away. Wewere both working remotely and the internet was great. Kitchen is very well outfitted. And the screened in porch was particularly great. Rebecca was super attentive.
My two friends and I had a terrific experience at Rebecca's cabin. She was a helpful, welcoming, and communicative host. The property is comfortable and well-stocked with everything you need for a great stay. The screen porch is a charming spot for relaxing with a book or sharing an alfresco meal, and the lakefront is within a few steps of your door. We were so happy here, we didn't spend much time in town, but if you want civilization's amenities, they are but a short drive away. Would love to return again soon to this gem!
Rebecca was a great host, responsive and helpful. Well equipped kitchen, working fireplace and close to lovely towns. Might want to pick up wood and bottled water for your stay.
Rebeccaâs home is a perfect place for summer fun and relaxation. She is a model host and always responds to questions and concerns. My pup, Lucy, and I had a wonderful time and thank her for allowing us to stay in her lovely cottage. We fell in love with the Berkshires!
