Adorable (Teeny!) Tiny House, Beautiful Views
Discover the simple beauty and tranquility of Living (Teeny!) Tiny while surrounded by soft, green hills. Sip a cup of coffee while gazing at greenery from the living room or deck. Lounge in a hammock, meditate, write, do yoga, cook in the outdoor kitchen, explore the land, or relax by the fire pit. Enjoy an ideal view of the gorgeous sunset. Marvel at the dazzling stars through the skylight as you drift off to sleep. Let this mystical oasis remind you of the beauty in simplicity and in nature.
This unique (teeny!) tiny cabin was custom designed for extreme minimalist living! The atmosphere gives a cozy, woodland, and mystical feel; a large outdoor living space makes this a unique combination of outdoor/indoor living. Come to reflect, relax, enjoy the views and sounds of nature, and discover the unmatched delight of cozying up in a teeny tiny house in a vast outdoor space!
**Heights: The ceiling height of the kitchen is 6'4". The ceiling height inside the shower is 6'0.
**If you suffer from claustrophobia, even though the huge windows make the interior seem airy and open, consider whether this is the house for you; if you'd like a Tiny House experience but struggle with small spaces, you may feel more comfortable in one of the other Tinies, as they have a larger feel and look.
Please ask about an early check-in! It's very likely we will be able to accommodate you.
The footprint of the house is only 8x12 (96 sq ftâthe size of a bedroom, but with tall ceilings!) and the porch is collectively 288 sq. ft. This house, despite its small size, has everything you need to live; I lived in it for 2 years, and it really had everything I needed. It has a 31âx 36âshower, composting toilet, a lofted "RV short full" or "RV 3/4 full" mattress (48â wide, 74" long), and a futon/couch (which folds down into a short twin bed).
The kitchen includes: a 19â-diameter galvanized steel sink (originally a flower pot) , 2 portable induction cook-top burners, pull-out drawers for storage, storage shelves for cans, spices storage on the ceiling, mini fridge (4.5 cu ft), combination microwave/convection oven, one 2 qt. saucepan, 2 frying pans (1 large, 1 medium), and collapsible food containers. It also has a foldable and stow-away custom-made counter-top that folds out to create a total of 8 feet of counter space (also can be used as a bar to eat at).
This house has a ladder (with wide steps) that folds up to the wall when you want more room downstairs. Heated floors on the bottom floor are a luxurious addition. Other sources of heat are: an electric wall heater, a mini-split AC/heat unit, and a propane fireplace for ambiance and supplemental heat. A hammock chair is stored on the wall and can be pulled down in seconds to provide alternative seating/views out the window (you can also sleep in it!).
A huge deck (3x the footprint of the house!) is the cherry on top, that adds lots of outdoor living to the space. And in the summer time, cooking exclusively in the outdoor kitchen is a must! There is a grill and a Blackstone griddle outside on the deck. The Blackstone also has an Air Fryer for your use. Cooking out there is the best! Come experience this minimalist paradise with amazing views!
Projector/TV: For those rainy days when you may not be able to access the outdoor amenities, this teeny tiny house has a Smart Projector (instead of a standard Smart TV) with a 65" wide pull-down projector screen. This Smart Projector functions using Roku, so you can sign into any of your normal streaming platforms. Whether rain or shine, you're sure to have a wonderful stay!
The entire tiny house/surrounding outdoor area/deck/fire pit is yours during your stay! For food: You have access to all kitchenware, myriad spices, dishes, etc.
I LOVE coffee, and I want my coffee-loving guests to have a great coffee experience here! A french press and pour-over coffee maker/kettle are provided for those who prefer a richer coffee experience--though a normal drip coffee maker and creamer are also provided. Being Minimalist does not mean minimizing on life's pleasures!
The grocery store and local pizza joint are an 8-minute drive east, there's a yummy burger dive (Bob's Bar) 5 miles south, and a large variety of restaurants is a 30-minute drive East. If you're staying for three days or more, and enjoy cooking new meals at home (like I do!), I can also arrange to have Blue Apron deliver meals for you to make. More details about that below.
You'll also have access to the entire property: 80 acres! Feel free to go exploring--except the space with the cows. Don't go there. But overall, just let loose and be free! Hike the big hill by my house; the view is truly unparalleled. Or you may just prefer to sit on the back deck and take in the lovely views from there, or walk the trail circling a portion of the property.
You may see other people around the property, as the tiny houses about 150 and 200 feet north of the teeny tiny house are also rented out as short term rentals (this is included in a few pictures). Both other tiny houses are screened from view with privacy fence sections.
During the late Fall and Winter months, this will be a peaceful oasis, with nobody around. During the temperate months of the year, other guests may be outside, taking a walk around the grounds, etc. Additionally, this is a working farm, so we may be working on the grounds; the farmer that rents the land East of the tiny houses may also check on his cattle from time to time.
1.5 miles from my tiny house is Powder Creek Lake--which is great for fishing or kayaking/canoeing. And I do have a canoe on the property for your use! You will need to have a vehicle with a hitch (1 7/8â ball ) to transport the canoe on my utility trailer to and from the lake. But just let me know in advance and I will get it set up for you! Also, I donât know if you can ice-fish on it in the winter; I would assume so!
If you prefer a real wood fire, feel free to use the fire-pit next to my house with chairs and wine-glass holders to relax.
**There is another lone Tiny House about 1/4 mile north of the Teeny Tiny House. It is gray, white, cedar, and has blue doors. Do not turn there; that tiny house is a different rental. If you keep going for another 1/4 mile, you'll see the Teeny Tiny house, where you'll stay! If there's any confusion, please call :)
Our property is so peaceful! Away from the city, away from the stress. You can see the stars at night and listen to the birds chirp in the morning. I also have two very friendly cats who would love a little pet if you have a second. And we have cows, for a few summer months only. There is a lot of farm land surrounding us, and some beautiful gardens next to the tiny house. Walking the trails through the trees is a must! It is beautiful. Such a tranquil, remote setting, but only an 8-minute drive into town, where you'll find a few restaurants, a grocery store, gas stations, and all the basics you'll need.
I highly recommend visiting Ponca State Park and hiking the trails there. It is beautiful! I've also seen people biking along the roads in the park.
We are far out into the countryside, so if you like off-roading or want to bring your snowmobile or snowshoes in the winter, it is perfect for those types of activities. I also have a canoe you can take to the nearby lake (it's on a small trailer, if you have a hitch and 1 3/4 ball to pull it), and lawn games in the summer (a corn hole set, bocce ball, and various other games).
Transportation:
My teeny tiny house is secluded in the middle of the Nebraska countryside, about 8 minutes from the nearest town and 20ish minutes from the nearest "big" town. There is no public transport out here, so you will need your own transportation. We have a good little walking path that circles the property--maybe .3 miles long. You can also hike to the top of the hill east of my house to see a beautiful landscape of rolling hills.
During seasons when it is very wet, it is a good idea to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to traverse the 4 miles of gravel road leading to my house. The road tends to become quite muddy and can be tricky to drive in, so 4-wheel drive is best if there is a massive amount of snow melting, or after days of heavy rains. Additionally, snow is usually cleared out by the city fairly quickly after snow falls, but occasionally they have waited a day or so to do so. This can make it difficult to drive in the meantime in a vehicle without medium to high ground clearance (I have a Jeep Cherokee, which works great). Before your stay, I will be in communication with you about potential weather issues and give details about the terrain then if you or I have concerns.
-There may or may not be other people renting out the tiny houses 150 and 300 feet away from the tiny house. However, these are generally shielded from view by a privacy fence.
Early Check-in/Late Check-out: If another guest is not immediately checking in before or after you, flexible check-in/outs may be an option! Please ask about this before you book and I will check to see if it is a possibility!
Pets: Pets are fine to bring if they are non-shedding (just add them to your booking by selecting your number of pet guests below your number of human guests). If shedding, please ask before booking. There is a $75 pet fee per stay. **Please disclose any pets. Any undisclosed pets brought to the house may incur up to a $250 fee.** Pets need to be kenneled if guest leaves the house without them; no non-kenneled are allowed in the house by alone. For liability reasons, dogs must be on a leash or tie-out when outside.
There is no noise on the property the vast majority of the time. And nobody comes into the tiny house yard (except for occasional UPS/FedEx deliveries).

Vous ĂȘtes reçu par Stephanie Bock

In 2016, I began the crazy but incredible journey of building my first tiny house. After that, I decided to build a teeny-tiny-house as a challenge to myself to design a fully-livable, spatially economic, and cozy and cute tiny house--and this is the result! It is absolutely amazing to stay in the tranquility of the countryside hills in this cozy, teeny tiny house.
Some hobbies of mine are hiking Ponca State park, reading, listening to audiobooks, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I love having people from all walks in life come and experience my tiny house and the beauty and peace of the land. I enjoy talking to my guests when possible--but I also completely understand just wanting a quiet retreat with no other human interactions. Just let me know which you'd prefer when you book, and I will honor that. Looking forward to having you!

About my community: We are a few friends living in community together on the Food for Rest property outside of Ponca, NE. This Tiny House is about 150 feet West of another tiny house. It is also about 200 feet southwest of another tiny house (these houses may or may not be rented out during your stay). Strategically-placed sections of privacy fence effectively screen the other tiny houses from view, however. The land-owners live in the original farmhouse on the property (about 400 feet north of the Tiny House, through the tree grove). I also live on the North side of the property in another tiny house! If I am not on the property, my co-host, Audrey is there 99% of the time and can answer any questions you have.
