We really enjoyed our stay in lake George at this property. It nicely accommodated our group of 5. Beautiful views of the lake from the back decks. It was very spacious and convenient to everything.

We lived our stay in Lake George! The home was beautiful and we really appreciated the baby gates that were there for our two small children. We had everything we needed and communication was great. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nice house in outskirts of town. Would have brought salt pepper, plastic wrap with us. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils etc for cooking just none of the above. Just an FYI. Host was great!

Great get away

We were 3 couples looking for a winter get away and Lake George and this property were perfect. We had a great stay. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Cozy stay

We had a wonderful stay at hidden gem, and wished we had stayed longer. Very comfortable and cozy, beautiful scenery and felt like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend.

The house was perfect. The beds are super comfortable and the linens were very nice. The kitchen and living room are a good size and the deck was used throughout the day with the new grill. The trek down to the beach is a little challenging and you will need to bring water shoes but the water and the view are spectacular.

Lake George - Hidden Gem Lake House

Spent a week-end there with friends. A nice place, a very nice and cosy house, well situated to go to Lake George Village, We plan to back again.

Lovely Stay

A quite lovely stay in Lake George. We stayed “off season” - during the Thanksgiving holiday, and I have to say, the view is fantastic. With the trees having shed their leaves, we were treated to a fantastic view of the lake and mountains. Check in was insanely smooth and easy, and the owners were kind and checked in at the beginning of the stay to answer some questions. Definitely a really beautiful house to book for anyone who is looking for a lake stay!

Clean nicely decorated house

We had a great stay, the house is close to everything. It was clean and well kept. The owners were responsive and friendly. The beds were comfortable which was a huge plus. My only complaints were the lack of furniture in the basement made it hard to actually use it less some of us sat on the floor and the deck doesn’t have a table or enough chairs to eat outside. We loved being able to bring our dog but she is a runner and this house is close to a main, very busy road.

Hi Alison- thank you for staying at the Hidden Gem. Our photos accurately depict the furnishings within our home. Our home is on a private road and is partially fenced in. The major benefit of our home is that it is close to the village and Bolton via route 9 with a view of the lake.

We were a group of 3 friends who now live in different states; we try to get together somewhat "in between" every so often. This time it was Lake George. The house itself met our basic needs as far as a place to sleep & shower. We only cooked there once. For that the kitchen was adequate, but it would be pushing it for a larger group / meal. There was no plastic wrap, foil, etc. The biggest negative was there were big black ants. Lots of them, all over the house. We bought ant traps, and we "eliminated" many of them manually, but they were still an issue on the last of our 3 days there. The host said it is a common issue in the Adirondacks, & the house was being sprayed the afternoon we left. Hopefully that took care of the problem for future renters. Another negative was the screened-in porch was deeply covered in pollen. Probably can't be helped, to a point, in June in the Adirondacks, but it looked like it hadn't been tended to before we arrived. We did not contact the hosts about it, so I can't speak to if it would have been rectified; seemed like more bother than it was worth, as the weather wasn't good anyway - until the last evening, when we were wishing we could sit out there. The host was quick to answer times I did contact him, and the house was otherwise clean. The stairs to the 2nd floor are challenging; you have to duck your head (literally bend over) and turn a corner at the same time. Bedroom windows have sheers only; some have nothing. Overall, OK; not great.

The house was very clean and the kitchen area was good for cooking meals. The grill outside is a Weber Spirit and was peedect for cooking up some food. The walk to the beach area is a bit of a hike, especially if you're carrying anything down/up. Also, the beach/water is very rocky so bring some sort of water shoes. The only real down side was there's only sheer curtains in the bedrooms so when the sun comes up, the rooms are bright.Overall, had a really good stay and the hosts were very responsive. Checkin was easy. Would stay again!
