When you book, please let us know if you are celebrating something special like a birthday or Anniversary!
Cool unique place to stay and very peaceful. It was interesting to see the book of the building of the house, we also enjoyed the nice trail in the woods.
We stayed here for a concert. The grain bin cottage was very clean and super cute in person. AC worked great. The host was very nice and extremely accommodating. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. It was a great stay. We will definitely stay here again when in the area!
This is a great place to relax and enjoy the quiet. The cottage is so charming and comfortable. Everything was very clean and the cottage had everything we needed. Wendy and Dave were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond to welcome us for our anniversary! We also liked the fact that we were just minutes from restaurants and shopping. We definitely recommend staying here for a couples get away, you wont be disapointed!!
The grain bin property is amazing! Wendy and Dave are the absolute most fantastic hosts! I spent a day here over memorial day weekend and it was breathtaking. The forest and land to explore, the grain bin itself, surrounding area and Wendy and Dave made this one of the best overnight getaways I have ever had. It very well may have been the best short vacation stay ever! The grain bin is so tastefully decorated/built/maintained and the fantastic amenities made this a place I'll definitely return to as soon as I can.
It was perfect. Quaint cabin (literally a converted grain bin, which is very cool). Big open field. Wendy could not have been more welcoming. If you're nervous on steps, this place will be tough, but otherwise, it's great. I'm planning to come back with my kids sometime.
From start to finish, this stay was perfect. Communication A+
Hospitality A+
Property A+
Comfort A+
Dave and Wendy are 2nd to none! They made us feel welcome and at home. Wendy takes this a step further with her attention to detail, especially if you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary. Weâll be back here for sure!
My husband and I wanted to get away from it all and find a peaceful place to rest for the weekend while enjoying the fall foliage. We couldnât have asked for a better place. The Bin at Old Oak Farm was well equipped, thoughtfully designed, and just a wonderful place to spend our time. Wendy and Dave were amazing too. They made everything so easy. Thank you! We enjoyed it and will be back if we are ever in this area again.
I can't say enough positive things about this incredible place. Beauatiful; SO unique; engineering masterpiece; SUPER clean, fully appointed; charming; Best hostesses ever. Even though it is tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil place, it is just minutes from great restaurants and Meramac Caverns and Meramac Springs.(also hidden gems).
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. We have already recommended it to our family and friends and will definitely seek to book the Grain Bin again, if we come back to this area. The little "house" is so unique and the wooded setting made it feel even cozier! The owners/builders were the perfect amount of friendly and available, without being nosy or "too helpful". We were comfortable in the home and appreciated having all the necessities available to us. Thank you again, Wendy & Dave!
We are retirees who still like to work. Wendy runs the Grain Bin rental and Dave works on high performance race engines out of his machine shop during the week. If you're hanging out at the Bin, you might get to hear some fun noises coming from the shop and you might end up getting a tour if that interests you!
We have a bob-tailed cat named "Cooper" who has the run of the farm. You might actually meet him if you're sitting outside on the deck or unloading your car. But usually, he keeps himself at a distance.
We have over 20 acres of property and sit pretty far back from the main road so it's very quiet here. We have several trails throughout the woods that are clearly marked if you'd like to take a walk. We also have a giant shopping cart that Dave built years ago to drive in parades, but now it sits on the property and people just want their pictures with it. Wendy is more than happy to take your pictures if she's there. Even though we are only 2 miles off the Interstate, we are within 7 miles of the town of Sullivan that has everything one would need...shopping, restaurants, things to do, etc. and within an hour or less to many other popular attractions.
