Escape to the beauty of the Chain OâLakes! Spend a weekend or longer and you will never tire of the endless opportunities the area has to offer.
The first floor offers open concept living with a full bathroom. A first floor bedroom with a queen size bed is perfect for the family member who doesnât want to go up stairs to sleep.
The kitchen offers ample storage and prep areas. Stainless steel appliances, electric wall oven w/ built in microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker only begin to list the amenities in the kitchen. Prepare a meal on the island stove top and never miss a minute of the action.
Have a morning coffee on the deck or at the dining room table with floor to ceiling windows. Enjoy a Smart TV with cable and streaming access in the living room.
Head upstairs to find double doors leading to a large master bedroom that features a king size bed. Tons of closet space with custom shelving for unpacking for the long stay. Directly across from the master is a full bath with soaking tub and stand alone shower. You will find a second bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds and ample closet / storage space.
In the basement is yet another full bath with a large shower. A pull out coach provides another sleeping opportunity for an extra guest.
From the basement you can step out and on to the paver patio with table and chairs under a covered pergola.
In the spacious back yard you will find a grill and plenty of room for fun and outdoor games. There is another paver patio with a fire pit to enjoy on those beautiful summer nights. Views of Meyers Bay are spectacular from around the fire pit! During the 4th of July weekend you can marvel at the Pistakee Lake firework show. 2 kayaks are available to head onto the lake or down the channel where you will be immersed in the tranquil waters and observe much of the wildlife found in the area. The private sand beach is only a short walk or kayak ride away where you can find a dock to fish from. An Aqua Lily Pad can be found there as well.
There is parking for 2 regular sized vehicles or 3 compact. There is no on-street parking in the entire subdivision.
All pets must be pre-approved prior to booking.
There are 2 cameras on the exterior of the home. One facing the street and one facing the rear of the property. They are there for security purposes. It is how we count the number of guests to ensure no parties are taking place. More details can be found in the Rental Agreement.
The Chain O'Lakes, or simply "The Chain", is a waterway system in northeast Illinois composed of 15 lakes connected by the Fox River and man-made channels. Encompassing more than 7,100 acres of water, 488 miles of shoreline and 45 miles of river, the Chain is the busiest inland recreational waterway per acre in the United States. Which is why this quiet corner of the Chain can suit just about any kind of fun you may be looking for.
Parking for your boat can be found on the sea-wall of a neighboring property. We recommend seeing and experiencing as much as you can from a boat on the Chain. Donât own a boat? They are available for rent at multiple locations on the chain.
Downtown Fox Lake is only a 5 minute drive away. There you can find shops and restaurants with amazing views of the lake. Be sure to check out the famous Blarneyâs Island. They feature food, drinks and live entertainment almost daily throughout the summer. It is only accessible by boat, yours or the shuttle that leaves the Port of Blarney at regularly scheduled times. El Puerto is a favorite local Mexican restaurant. And if you are into BBQ and cool cars, Studio Hotrods Smokehouse is a must see! There are so many restaurants to enjoy, but these are just a few of our favorites.
