This 4 bedroom home offers a brand new kitchen, full basement and a large yard that overlooks the Yellow River. Enjoy the firepit, grill, outdoor patio, deck and all the yard games. ATV/Snowmobile trails are close, fishing at Lake Dexter and homemade ice cream in Pittsville, which is the exact center of Wisconsin.

The home is just north of Dexterville and just south of Pittsville, so close enough to get any last-minute necessities. If you want a "bigger" town, you can get to Marshfield or Wisconsin Rapids in about 30 minutes. The host was responsive and friendly. The house was clean, well-equipped, and perfectly located for what we needed. The living room was comfy and cozy, and the den with the gas fireplace was perfect for football and napping. It was a little chilly so we didn't take full advantage of the river, but we did see Benny the bald eagle and make some smores!You could cook or grill out or roast hot dogs over the campfire, but if you want to go to town, we HIGHLY recommend Paulie's (try the carnivore skillet and homemade toast) and Cranberry Creamery (if they are open for the season). And keep a lookout for the white deer!!

Is the perfect place to bring the family. When you first pull up it was a beautifully front yard that they just mowed for us. The pictures do not do it justice, it is beautiful, clean and so much room in the house everyone could have their own space when needed. We took our family and some of their friends as a last minute vacation before school starts and this was the perfect place. I brought tubes for the kids to enjoy the river. Shoes are suggested because the rocks can be sharp but the current is just perfect for floating and hanging out and also fishing. Plenty of room for the teenagers to run around and the basement was perfect for them so no adults were kept up late at night. We did not have plans to leave the house so not really sure what was available to do in any of the surrounding towns but was super easy to find and cant wait to schedule another trip. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing house to create some lasting memories.

This house had it all! So many thoughtful amenities! Kitchen was well stocked, with mugs, glasses, cookware, and bowls! Pantry space is amazing, and equipped with every small appliance you may need.

This was a relaxing trip. Clean house, wood for fire pit, all cooking utensils and seasonings furnished, relaxing river where the kids fished. I would stay again and recommend for anyone that wants a relaxing retreat.

Relaxing time by the river

Very welcoming- we enjoyed our coffee on the deck and having the fire pit prepared for a great time right by the river. Lots of space and lots of laughs playing foosball in the game room.Wonderful time thank you.

The Perfect getaway that everyone needs!

Beautifully decorated home with all the amenities for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything to prepare home cooked meals. Games, outdoor activities and many places to just relax and enjoy family time. Great pet-friendly amenities too from pet bowls to treats. We all felt welcome and relaxed. PERFECT Stay!

The home was super clean, MUCH more spacious than we even realized, and impeccably decorated for fall - it was very festive! We enjoyed a fire both nights, took photos by the river with the fall colors behind us, and spent many hours laughing and playing games. There were a ton of special touches like coffee pods, a s’mores kit, the fall decor, plenty of extra blankets, fire starter, etc. We booked the stay for a sisters weekend and were more than happy with the property, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! The instructions on both check-in and check-out were clear and we had a great time, thank you for sharing your property with us!

Peaceful retreat

Peaceful location despite being just off the highway. Enjoyed walking in the river. Loved the ice cream from the local ice cream shop. Enjoyed Friday fish fry recommended by the owner. My husband took many pictures of the local bald eagle. Loved the campfires each night. A nice place for our annual family weekend.

Family fun!

Our family had such a fantastic time here! Started with an early check-in, the house was clean, recently remodeled, and well equipped. There is plenty of room for the whole family. There is a big yard for kids and dogs to run around, with multiple seating areas both inside and out. The house is just minutes from Pittsville and Lake Dexter, but still has great country feel.

We had a great vacation in this lovely house right on the river! The house is comfortable, clean, and very well-stocked. They had everything we needed for our baby, toys and activities for our toddlers, and lots of games for the older children as well. The fire pit overlooking the lake was also a favorite. The house and grounds were even better than the photos. Thank you!

Great little escape!

Love this property- such a nice spot to get away! It's on the river and has a huge backyard. We had a group of friends hanging out for the weekend and it was perfect. We grilled, played yard games, and enjoyed our time by the river! Would absolutely recommend!

Girls weekend

We have been doing these weekends twice a year for awhile. And using VRBO properties. This one is now a #1. The owners have gone above and beyond to make the stay wonderful. We had a little issue with the ice machine. And they were there pretty quick.. and Ice we had! We will be back!!
