This property was as perfect as depicted. It is a peaceful, quiet location at the end of the street. The owners have thought of everything you could need or might have forgotten, and the property was immaculate! They are quick to respond to messages. We were visiting the area for Penn State Homecoming weekend and it was a quick 30 minutes to campus. Thank you so much!!!
The cottage was exactly as advertised - so cute , quaint, quiet and amenities were plentiful. Great communication with owner. Location to Penn State was about 1/2 hr away - perfect for game day Not sure we will be coming back to Pennsylvania - But if we did we wouldnât want to stay anywhere else
I planned on spending my birthday in happy valley and searched all over for a place, then I found Lakewood cottage. I talked it over with the other couple that came with and it was an easy yes for the 4 of us. The place wasnât far from the stadium and easy to get to. It was clean and tidy and overall an amazing stay for the weekend. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed with Bonita for a family reunion happening at nearby Bald Eagle State Park. The rental was just what we needed and our host Bonita went above and beyond what we asked. Highly recommended!
We stayed here for a short weekend while visiting Penn State and exploring Bald Eagle State Park. The cottage was really cute, and it was nice and quiet and very clean! I did not know that there was a separate rental suite upstairs when I booked the property, but we didn't hear any noise so that was good. It had lots of wonderful conveniences and many touches that made it easy to settle in and made it feel special. We even got to meet Bonita at the store and appreciated the recommendations she provided about places to visit in the area. The book she made for cottage guests had all the information we needed and was very helpful. I will definitely stay here again in the future!
What a gem near Bald Eagle State Park! Such a nice quant place, with a fantastic host. The outdoor store located near the booking is a great place to get your fishing needs before visiting the park!
What a delight to show up at this quaint little cottage and find that it was as good or even better than pictured! Perfect for our small family to stay during a three day Penn State Graduation weekend; only about 30 minutes away from campus. Very clean and well-appointed. We used the grill outside for a lovely dinner. Owner communication was excellent, and they went above and beyond to help us retrieve an item left behind after we had checked out. Highly recommend this gem!
Cottage was easily accessible and very cute! Communication with host was easy. Overall fairly clean, but we did think that the towels and sheets could have been cleaner - we would bring our own the next time.
This was the perfect place for us to stay for the weekend. We were visiting family in the area and we were glad to have a nice place to stay that was clean and well furnished. It's located at the end of the street so it was quiet, which I appreciated for my 5 month old. Bonita was easy to communicate with during our stay. I would stay here again the next time I'm in the area visiting family.
The house had everything we needed for a low key weekend away - plenty of space with three bedrooms and the common area with coffee, wifi and a kitchen to cook a few meals. The area was quiet and peaceful and we were a short drive to anything else we needed including a brewery and distillery decorated for the holidays. Thanks!
Beautiful house and setting. The host was wonderful and helpful for information. We had some mild problems with the door lock. We had some difficulties understanding the procedure to unlock. I need clearer instructions on what buttons to push first..etc
