Big Log Cabin 3 miles Denison & Granville. Farm views.
Come stay in our beautiful cabin. Itâs perched up on a hill with 3.5 acres, lovely views plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the country. Conveniently 2.5 miles to Granville town and Denison. 3 large bedrooms 2 with King beds and one bedroom with 2 twins. All with gigantic closets and plenty of space for all your things. The kitchen is stocked with pans and pots, plates and dishes and we have a long large dining table to accommodate all.
The space: 3 bedrooms. 2 with king sized beds and one with 2 twins. The open living room/dining room has vaulted ceilings and is perched on a hill. There are glass doors leading out to a beautiful deck with outside dining and lounging. 3 full bathrooms with one being en suite. Large lower level with walkout door has an extra living room, desk and serves as a tv room or extra sleeping room. There is a full bathroom on this level too. The bike path leading from Johnstown to Newark is right down the street. Denison and Granville town are a quick 5 min drive. Wake up to cows, fall asleep to crickets!
Of all the places I have stayed, this was to me the mose scenic. Rolling green hills and beautiful trees. It was like a perfect landscape painting ... but real. The house was very spacious and the rooms nicely furnished. Very large and practical kitchen. Two nice living areas. Large master bedroom and two good sized smaller bedrooms. Walk in closets you could live in.Only small issues, had trouble opening the lockbox containing the key. Not enough window covering in 2nd bedroom to keep out early morning sun.I really wouldn't mind living in that house on that gorgeous property.
Just a quick 5 min drive to Granville. Very clean, lots of space, great deck overlooking the countryside, strong wifi, and the owner was very responsive. It is a rustic, older home feel. Make sure to bring shampoo and a hairdryer (some basics that are typically included in other vrbos). The kitchen has many of the basics but could benefit from an upgrade of a few things including regular coffee mugs.
The house was absolutely perfect for my family! Having a Christmas tree up and decorated made our holiday all the more special. My 5 year old grandson had a magical Christmas.
The cabin is all you expect in a log cabin. The owmers were very kind and stayed in touch. It did not have all the amenities a 5 star property would have, but was perfect dor what we needed.
The property owner is very accommodating and easy to work with! The house is clean and comfortable and close to town we have stayed at this house for 3 yrs & absolutely plan to stay next year.
We had a lovely stay at this property to attend our sons graduation. Lovely property out in the country which is very peaceful yet only a few miles from Granville. The beds were very comfortable and the hosts were outstanding. Only very minor critique is that the house only has essentials as noted in their description. Be sure to bring soap, shampoo, hairdryers, and other amenities that you may need and are often provided in hotels and other vrbos. Kitchen supplies would benefit from a few additional coffee cups. Overall it is a great property and we look forward to staying there again upon future visits.
My family and I stayed here the night before the solar eclipse. The house is large and spacious with a definite cabin vibe and a wood-burning fireplace. Nestled into a hillside, we enjoyed spending time on the updated deck, which is large and overlooks a beautiful green space and meadow below. You'll hear cows in the morning, crickets and frogs in the evening. And the canopy of stars at night is amazing.
Host communications were excellent. We were able to easily extend our trip another day; the host was very accommodating and made the process simple and cost-effective. We will come again when we have more time to explore the area and quaint small towns.
We enjoyed our stay. Great place to meet up with extended family members and plenty of room to gather around the table to play board games. The kids love kicking the soccer ball around outside in the grass and the setting is very pretty and peaceful. Great communication with the host. Would recommend if youâre in the area.
We stayed at this large home over Thanksgiving weekend. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen were clean and the space was quiet and expansive. We were happy to eat breakfast while enjoying the lovely view out the large windows. Our college sons enjoyed the privacy of the basement for late night gaming. Only a short drive into town for weekend shopping, groceries and dining. Weâll certainly keep this spot in mind for future visits to family.
This was a nice house in a great quite location. So cool to wake up to the open landscape and friendly cow next door. Garage parking was a huge plus as we were in the area for Mopar Nationals and could keep our cars safe along with the family! Would return!
The house was awesome. Close proximity to the town of Granville so 2 families could stay before drop off at Denison University. The host was super friendly and helpful. It was fun to learn that her husband played Football for Denison like our boys! The backyard was like stepping into a farmscene jigsaw puzzle! Including a neighboring cow!
We stayed for two day to attend a wedding. The place was spacious and had amazing views. They owner was very accommodating and kept us well informed. The place of close to town made it easy if you need to pick up anything from a store. My oldest child, 4yrs, asked if we could stay there forever.. so a thumbs up from her
Alexandria is a sleepy little rural town. Its bucolic rolling hills, farms, horses and bike paths. Granville is 3 miles away and that has Denison University and feels like a New England quaint town (think Gilmore Girls).
