If youâre looking for a beautiful, historic home in the heart of downtown Hudson, look no further. Iâm so happy to have found Wayside. Itâs a great property for a small family, or in my case, a few friends to enjoy being able to walk to all the enjoyable activities in this charming town.
The house was quaint and the host was very good. There were a couple of items that could have been cleaned better but nothing that would stop me from staying again. The upstairs rooms are hot in the summer.
The renovated historic house is nestled between lovely gardens, front and back, and is a few minutesâ walk to good coffee (we brought back our coffee and sat on the patio overlooking little garden in the morning). The property is close to a great little grocery store (again, a few minutesâ walk), and the rest that downtown has to offer (quite a variety of restaurants for a small town). The kitchen is spacious and open and good for hanging out, as is the living/dining room. The property was perfect for our needs â and we really enjoyed our stay.
This was my second stay in this house, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. The house is charming and comfortable, and always very clean. The owner, Stuart, is very helpful and friendly. I love being able to walk to a coffee shop and restaurants, while also having a short drive to Cuyahoga Valley National Park for hiking and sightseeing. I plan to come back again in the future!
Our stay was fantastic. There were beautiful gardens, Everything we needed in the home. I would definitely stay here again!! Being so close to the square made it perfect for dinners with family members that live in the area. Thank you to the owners for providing us a fantastic time.
This is the most beautiful home. It had lots of character, was very clean and well stocked and the owner was very nice. We came for 3 days to explore the area and were not disappointed. The proximity to shops and restaurants cannot be beat. We would stay here again in the future.
Great location to get to the national park and great to be able to walk to a coffee shop or restaurant for dinner. Stuart was easy to communicate with and gave some good recommendation for our stay.
Optimal Location Near First & Main To Enjoy All of Hudson
We had an excellent stay at this property. It is the best location for exploring downtown Hudson and the surrounding area.Charming, restored home that brings the history of Hudson to life. Stocked with all the amenities and extras needed for a short or long stay.
Lovely historical home with modern conveniences located right in the center of Hudson. I could even hear the clock tower chiming! We loved the fireplace which gave the place a wonderfully cozy feel during the snow storm. Our considerate host cleared the snow from driveway and walks!
Such a cute property and very charming house! My kids mentioned they wanted to live there permanently. There were games in the cabinets and itâs walking distance from downtown Hudson. It was a relaxing retreat that was still in town. You canât ask for more.
Amazing property in a quaint area of Ohio. Easy walk to beautiful village square with cute shops and restaurants. House has a great history and the redo saved much of original house but with updated amenities. Highly recommend
The best thing (among many, many pluses) is the location of this property. Hudson is a wonderful place to be during the holiday season and the proximity to the shops is incredible. Both the owner and the property manager were attentive to our needs as well. Old houses have many creaks and quirksâthis one does as well, so it would be unfair to compare it to a modern house or hotel. That said, we found this gem of a place exceeded our expectations.
We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful house. I am from Hudson but my parents have moved to a retirement community, so his was a perfect spot for my family to gather! Great location and a very cozy and comfortable house!
Enjoyed a long weekend in this lovely renovated old house in the heart of Hudson - a fascinating Connecticut western reserve. The house combined lots of original features with modern comforts and was well stocked and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!
The owners of this house clearly this wonderful, historic property steps from First & Main. Before we arrived, the owner sent a welcome text offering us early check in. The house is immaculately maintained. The owners even leave a helpful manual for anything you need to know about their home. A bonus feature is the small but mighty bluetooth sound system. We had a fantastic stay at the Wayside House and hope to be back soon.

One of the earliest Hudson homes with character and history. Recent award winning restoration, preserving original details, with thoughtful upgrades for comfort and convenience. A bright and spacious family home that's also perfect for a friends gathering . 3rd Bedroom can be used as a private workspace with desk and ensuite bathroom.
Hudson is a unique, charming town and a perfect base when visiting NE Ohio. A gateway to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and close to Cleveland and Akron cultural centers. Our home is right downtown, just a short walk from the village green, Western Reserve Academy, great independent restaurants and shops
