This is the one! Driftwood is Old Orchard Beach’s latest Vacation rental addition! Newly renovated and excited to help you create forever memories by the Sea! This 2+ bedroom (bonus room will sleep 2) is 600 feet from the sand (yup, we measured). Parking for 5 cars, and .8 miles from the OOB Pier. Perfect for multi-families going in together or parents who just want their kids on a separate level. If you want the OOB excitement you got it. Want quiet instead? Just stay and enjoy the sea.

Fantastic Home & Host

Impressed with the home when we pulled into driveway...amazed when we walked inside!! Clean, comfortable and ready for family stay. Quiet area convenient to the beach. Jonathan was a fantastic host....in daily contact and quick to respond to any questions or needs. Definitely recommended place to stay!

Fantastic Stay

Me and a group of friends who have never spent much time in New England/Maine stayed for a week, and it was a phenomenal time! Waking up and walking to the beach every morning was a major highlight, but the hospitality and attentiveness of the property owner, Jonathan, was also a highlight. Super helpful and was a great resource for the local area. And the property was clean, quaint, and solid location for a vacation. Highly recommend!

The best location

We got in extremely late and finding it was very easy. There were 9 adults which made this perfect for us. The patio was awesome to sit out and enjoy the coffee. The 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach was awesome. The host was wonderful to work with and great about keeping us informed about the check in and that everything was good to go after Hurricane Lee had just gone by the weekend before.

Great place!

Overall this was a fantastic vacation. We went as 3 families and had 4 kids under 5 with us. Closeness to the beach was key. If you come here with small children, I would bring lots of baby gates, the room divider kind so the spiral staircase can be blocked off effectively. We got creative with furniture outside to cereate a safe spot on the patio. Everything was clean and there were lots of good sleeping options for all.

Family getaway

We had a wide array of ages. From 1 years old to over 70. Beach is within walking distance, pier is also able to be walked to easily! Lovely outdoor area for sitting outside. The dog loved it as well! Plenty of sleeping areas! 2 bathrooms! 2 kitchens! Couldn’t have been a better location! Air conditioning in entire house. Would return!

Family's Maine fun vacation

Very nice home. Love the set up and how it is decorated. Jonathan is great in cking to make sure all our needs were meant. Only downside is the parking. We had a wonderful time!!

Family weekend geteawy

We had an amazing time. Jon is the most thoughtful host. Despite bad weather, he checked in with us a couple of times and offered numerous suggestions for rainy days. The house has plenty of board games and coloring supplies to keep the kids busy. Jon is very responsive, and got back to me with questions very timely. The cottage had plenty of room for 9 of us and our dog. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice location close to the beach. House was very clean. The upstairs set up was perfect for my teenage Grandchildren they had their own space. Jonathan was very friendly and helpful with area attractions. We would stay again.

Summer memories made

We stayed the last week of Aug. 2022. Briefly met and chatted with the owner Jon check in day. Jon was very easygoing and gave us the house set up situation. He mentioned some project work needing to be done as a first season VRBO home. Nothing that made our stay less enjoyable and pleasant. Driftwood is a quaint two floor house with a spiral staircase connecting floors in the living room. My kids loved the idea of having their own space. All the necessities you want in a vacation beach house were provided and convenient. Great memories with our families were made this summer. I thank Jon for his hospitality. If ever you find yourself floating in a sea of vacation places to stay at Old Orchard Beach, grab on to Driftwood, it will keep you afloat for as long as you like. -Mahalo

Great Location!

Without much notice we booked a weekend at Dritfwood. It's exactly as described in the listing. The beach is just down the street. The pier is walking distance away which is great when giving the teens freedom to choose what they want to do. The home was spacious for 6 teens and 2 adults with room to spare. I had to reach out to Johnathan with 2 small questions and he was super responsive. I wish the cleaners would have unloaded the dishwasher from the previous renters. We didn't end up using the dishwasher because we didn't use that many utensils or dishes. Oh! Remember to jot down the code to get the key before you get to the house, the cell service was poor so I had to drive back down the road to access the message from Johnathan! But once there we logged into wifi and all was right in the world again!

We had a wonderful stay. Close to beach and walking distance to town. Only con is no coffee pot. They had a French press which was great. But we are a coffee family. We would stay here again.

The place was great, easy access to the beach , the owner Jonathan went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and brought us a portable AC unit to help with the extreme heat wave we were having..Definitely would stay at the Driftwood again

Perfect family vacation

This is an amazing house with plenty of room for you and your family plus more! Jonathan was the nicest host ever. He knew we wanted to stay 2 days earlier but he didn’t have availability. He went out of his way to help us find a place across the street which made our transition to his place so easy. It’s clean, cozy and had all of the amenities we needed for our family of 5. He checked in regularly and was willing to offer some suggestions of things to do in the area. We walked to the beach daily plus enjoyed a couple night walks because it’s so close. You’re able to enjoy the fun of Old Orchard but also enjoy a quiet place to sleep. We loved it!

Diamond in the rough

We only stayed for the weekend because of a family get together on Saturday. We all wished we stayed for the week. Jon the owner couldn't be any friendlier. Jon made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed and if we didn't he was just a phone call away. Don't miss out on this gem, new things coming for this property. Perfect location not a far walk to the center to play or eat. I give it a 9/10 only because NOBODY is perfect, but this comes close enough to it.
