Ocean Garden - Deux suites de luxe King Master Bedroom

Les murs de pierre de l'île et un jardin tropical mature font une maison enchanteresse pour deux couples. Deux suites parentales king-size sont équipées de la climatisation, mais la brise de l'île en fait une option inutile toute l'année. La nature est à votre porte avec la plage de Chocolate Hole Bay à 100 pieds à pied et l'étang de sel à proximité offre un havre de nidification pour les oiseaux locaux.

Un refuge intime et privé pour deux ou une maison économique loin de la maison pour la famille. Nichée dans des jardins à flanc de colline avec des bougainvilliers en fleurs, des hibiscus et des orchidées et des tilleuls, la faune de l'île invite à l'exploration. Vous pouvez entendre le bleu de la mer des Caraïbes sur le rivage depuis votre terrasse donnant sur Chocolate Hole. Venez séjourner dans un style et une classe économiques à seulement cinq minutes des commerces et restaurants de Cruz Bay.

Deux suites séparées ont chacune une salle de bain complète et un lit king-size avec beaucoup d'espace pour s'étendre et se détendre. Le fils du propriétaire - un day trader pour un hedge fund basé à St John et copropriétaire de la villa - réside dans un appartement d'une chambre séparé avec une entrée séparée la plupart de l'année. Il peut vous offrir des informations sur l'île et des conseils de plongée ou toute l'intimité totale que vous souhaitez.

Une grande salle spacieuse avec un plafond voûté avec de grandes portes ouvertes ouvertes sur une vue tranquille de Chocolate Hole Bay. Les alizés frais des Caraïbes balayent la villa jour et nuit. De plus, chaque chambre est équipée de ventilateurs de plafond.

Une cuisine moderne avec toutes les commodités et un bar confortable donnent sur l'eau bleue des Caraïbes et prêtent à une expérience culinaire unique. Une table à manger en dalle de pierre travertine italienne avec une lumière de tissage Schnell Studio est située à côté de la cuisine pour les repas à l'intérieur.

La grande salle et la salle à manger s'ouvrent sur une terrasse en bois sur toute la longueur de la villa offrant une option pour les repas en plein air ainsi qu'un espace de vie supplémentaire. Le matin et en début d'après-midi, le pont offre un soleil éclatant tandis que les après-midi sont ombragés et rafraîchis par les alizés qui traversent la vallée et l'étang salé.

Les étapes mènent à une courte promenade de natation et de plongée en apnée à la plage de Chocolate Hole et à 5 à 10 minutes en voiture des plages spectaculaires du parc national.

Great stay at Ocean Garden

We had a wonderful trip to St. John which included a great stay at Ocean Garden. Donald Schnell and his family were excellent hosts and communicators. Their home is lovely, very clean, in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by tropical gardens. We rented their Jeep which was needed while exploring the island. It was a pleasure meeting and working with the Schnell family. We will be back!

Artistic Villa

This two bedroom villa was roomy, comfortable, well located and provided us with the ability to enjoy preparing some of our meals. The owner was very accommodating and helped us learn our way around the island. We had a very pleasant stay.

Peaceful getaway

Nestled in a hillside in Chocolate Hole near the Westin. Although the owner’s son lives in the lower level, we had all the privacy we needed. There is air conditioning but only used it at night in the bedroom. Fans were throughout the unit. The Schnell’s couldn’t have been nicer and Lucas, their son couldn’t have been more helpful. The terrace where we dined and hung out was a highlight.

Not very friendly

Beautiful property, comfortable beds and sitting areas. Kitchen not well equipped for cooking meals with scarcity of pots and pans but plenty of gadgets. No cutting board for cocktails. Property managers were pretentious, to the point of making both of us feel uncomfortable. This would deter us from staying there again.

A Last Minute Stay handled perfectly!

We had to change our vacation plans mid-week when our daughter got sick and we missed our flight to Maui. She got better, so we needed a Plan B for a shorter trip, and St. John was a much closer destination for us. Donald answered our booking request within an hour on the day that we needed to check-in. He made it all workout for us and we could not have been happier with this villa. Great views, plenty of space, comfy beds, good AC and beautiful gardens and neighborhood. Also, Donald rented us a jeep which made everything easier. We had half a day to plan a trip to St. John and without Donald it would not have happened. Thanks again to him and his team.

We'll be back!

Our group of 4 adults spent 5 days at Ocean Garden, a beautiful villa designed, built and decorated by the owners in their unique style. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, complemented by a large outdoor terrace for additional living space. The pictures don't lie. The property is located a short drive from Cruz Bay in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of a pond and surrounding mountains. We enjoyed spending time at the villa, going into town, touring the island and visiting the beautiful beaches in the national park. The hospitality offered by our hosts was exceptional. They kept in touch by email prior to our stay and responded immediately to any questions. We rented a jeep from them, and Donald met us at the ferry with the car when we arrived, escorted us to the villa, showed us where to buy groceries, checked in with us during our stay, and dropped us at the ferry when we left. In addition, they sent us off with lovely gifts from their pottery. We could not have asked for more accommodating hosts.

A Beautiful Ocean Garden that could use a little TLC

The house is very unique and is full of beautiful touches from the owner/artist. At a little over 500 a night, it was affordable, comparatively, and the location was great. Close to a grocery store and easy drive into town.The layout was nice for 2 couples with the two separate en suite bedrooms and the hosts were very responsive with great tips and a jeep rental before we arrived. We really enjoyed the large outdoor lanai area!The kitchen could use an upgrade, including the stove, which was very old and had a knob falling off. The bathroom in one bedroom could also use an upgrade and some repairs need to be done around the split unit.Took a long time to get hot water from the kitchen sink, and hot water in one bathroom didn’t last through two showers.There was some late night noise from the tenants downstairs.Generally we were happy with our stay and would rent again. Loved all the Magic Circles!

Great Stay!!

We stayed here for our wedding in St John - perfect size and location for me and my husband. Just a quick drive down to Cruz Bay and easy drive to get to beaches! Donald and family/crew were all very great to us!! Communication was top notch - they had a driver waiting at the airport for us, reserved spots on the ferry for us, picked us up from the ferry once we arrived to STJ, and took us to the ferry when we left. They are friendly and just a call/text away if you need anything at all! Thank you for everything!! We can’t wait to come back!

Nice 2 bedroom

Overall, this was a nice place to stay. My daughter and I came for Spring Break and spend time with just the 2 of us. Donald picked us up from the ferry and took us when we departed. That was wonderful!The 2 bedroom was fully equipped for what we needed. Beach chairs provided which is always a plus. We had trouble renting a jeep and Donald came to the rescue of providing us a rental car. I can't imagine being on the island without one. The balcony was great to sip on coffee in the morning and have a cocktail in the afternoon. Very close to the grocery and close the town to shop and restaurants.

Awesomeness

The owners were amazing throughout our entire stay. I can’t thank them enough for offering the use of one of their vehicles when ours broke down. They also assisted with restaurant recommendations to some amazing locations. The accommodations were beyond clean. The owner has a pottery studio not far from the villa and you can see his work throughout the town. Such a great experience and stay. We will be back.

Great Time, Great Place, Great Hospitality!

We had a great time. It always goes by too quick. Can't wait to come back. I made sure I brought home a real estate book with me just so I can dream...haha. Thank you for the hospitality. Nice house

This was a very nice house to stay in. FYI: this was my 6th trip to St. John and we've stayed in a different place each time. This trip, we stayed with another couple. Our friends stayed in the "better" suite with the double doors to the veranda. Very cute room, and the pictures make it look very lovely. It is, but... the curtains needed to be shut all the time because someone lives downstairs and there was construction happening on the sidewalks around the place. There were people walking around often enough to mandate closed curtains and loss of the sunny room. There were no curtains on the bathroom so my friend had to tape a garbage bag up. (though someone did come and hang some curtains one day when we were out). The other bedroom was okay. Someone else complained that the bathroom needed updating. Either it had been or I thought it was fine. I do understand that updates don't happen in the VI like we are accustomed to in the states because material and labor cost so much there, so maybe I'm just more understanding. That being said, the peeling paint on the jaccuzi deck REALLY does need to be re-done. It's just bad. Also, we were told that the jacuzzi heats on a timer, but it was never (never) warm enough for us to use. The living areas are beautiful. The location is great as it is a very easy and quick drive into town, the roads/driveway is good.

Great location

Great location. The villa is still a work in progress. One bedroom suite updated nicely. Great bathroom / shower. Double doors to veranda. the second suite is comfortable but needs updating. 2nd bedroom window screens are torn and windows need painting. Bathroom needs updating. Living area is very nice and kitchen very functionable. Wifi and TV worked well. Veranda needs new decking, as well as the jacuzzi deck. The jacuzzi deck was in bad shape. Beautiful morning sunrises, and view of chocolate hole. Easy 5 minute ride to Cruz Bay and main roads to beaches. The owner is extremely nice. We rented jeep from him and he arranged private taxi from air port and water taxi to St John. His art work is displayed throughout villa. Would love to see this again when al updates are complete.
