Whilst some aspects of the house were good, others not so much:
We enjoyed the vast room spaces, multiple fridges, and that boats were available for launch at the lakefront.
The furniture is a little dated. The grill was greasy, and its brush unusable . The fire alarm and CO2 detector wouldn't stop beeping.
Furthermore, we had to roleplay as garbage men, and take out the rubbish from the house down to a recycling location. Isn't that what we paid the $300.00 cleaning fee for?
Finally, the main points of choosing this house was that it had a hot tub and sauna. However, the hot tub was not working the entire weekend, rendering it useless. It wasn't until the last night of our stay that it finally starting working properly. Furthermore, when we booked this house, the description said that wood would be provided for the firepit/fireplace and sauna. It wasn't until after we arrived at the house the owner said he doesn't provide firewood in the summer season. The owner did end up providing 2 small bundles as a start, but we still had to go out of our way to buy more wood for the amenities.
While we appreciate the owner having adequate dialogue with us during our stay, there was a lack of communication on his end surrounding the inquiries with the amenities, and keeping the hot tub in working order.
As an apology, the host offered to reimburse us.
