Beautiful place!

This cabin is beautiful, with great views. The decks were so relaxing to have a morning cup of coffee on. I would definitely stay here again!

Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Our host, Jarrod, made the whole process very easy and turn key. The home is well appointed, roomy and beautiful. The whole family enjoyed the game room from children to adults. Our thanks to Jarrod for a wonderful stay.

Fabulous!!

Please remember the following text: If you're looking for a place with great views, relaxation, and enough space for a large group to spread out, this is it! The beautiful home overlooks the river and offers excellent tubing that took us down to the first bridge, which took approximately 2 hours. We had a recovery car waiting to pick us up, as the walk back would have been too far. My only recommendation to the host is to replace the gas grill, which is on its last leg, and to install a better lockbox, as the current one is hard to open and took us a few attempts to get it to work.

Mountain Visit

We enjoyed the cabin. It was very clean and had plenty of room for us. It would have been nice if firewood would have been provided for the outdoor firepit. Also, there were no trash bags in the cabin. Be aware that the gravel driveway is up to an 11 degree angle and may be difficult for those without 4 wheel drive in bad weather.

Luxury Retreat

Jarrod’s house had everything we wanted for a beautiful weekend away. He stocked it with tubes for the river and games for nights in. It was peaceful and quiet in nature but far from rustic. A perfect balance of amenities and natural beauty. I’m so grateful to have discovered the Little Tennessee River. Rent Jarrod’s place, but please don’t tell the other tourists around Asheville! It’s our secret.

Amazing Cabin

Once we arrived, it was amazing! The cabin was stocked, everything thought out. Beautiful interior. Getting up and down the hill was rough. But when you get there. You are all by yourself in your own world of perfection. No neighbors up there, amazing views, hot tub, fire pit, all those bedrooms well stocked and furnished.

The house was great and as described. The only issue we had was the air conditioner went out a few weeks before we arrived. Jarrod put a window unit in 4 of the bedrooms but it kept popping breakers so we couldn’t use them all at the same time and even if we could have we wouldn't want to hang in the bedroom all day. It made some of the vacation uncomfortable during the middle of the day and we received no discount on the rental. Other than that, our family had a great time in the area tubing down the river by the house, tubing in Cherokee, and looking for gems at mason mining. Also, Brooklyn bagels is a great place to eat in Franklin.

Amazing place! Everything in one place.

We spent a family weekend with older children and grandparents. We loved the place. Big deal everyone has a bedroom and bathroom! Anything you can imagine is there for entertainment. TVs everywhere for the TV buffs with cable and all the streaming options. Coffee lovers dream every option available to make a cup of coffee. Hot tub is a must. So peaceful. Windows in great room were breathtaking. We will be back for more tournaments of ping pong , pool, relaxing and reconnecting.

Beyond Expectations - Spectacular View

Our getaway was very enjoyable! There were eight of us (4 couples). A solid 10 out of 10 experience. We all had our own spaces and the amenities were beyond expectations. The house is well stocked with games, smart televisions, grocery necessities and linens. The kitchen had many cooking utensils and appliances, with lots of room to sit for meals or playing games. The view from the couch and the wrap around decks was breathtaking. We all commented on the changing leaves on the trees and the mountains. If considering to travel to this area - do not hesitate to book this spot! Many thanks to the such a thoughtful and outstanding host.

Absolutely love this cabin!

We stayed at the cabin over New Years and LOVED IT! Everything was just as described and pictured. Very clean and extremely well stocked! Jarrod was great with communication and super helpful. There were more things to do at the cabin than we had time for.... so many games. This kitchen has everything! Plus lots of towels and even beach towels. We brought all the groceries we needed and were glad we did because the closest market was limited. The only thing I would do different is bring Dramamine for the drive. We were on very curvy, switchback mountain roads for at least 2 hours. Very pretty though!!!! Would definitely recommend this rental!

Unresponsive Owner terrible customer service significant maintenance issues

I recently stayed at this property and unfortunately, the experience was not as expected due to several significant issues. Firstly, the air conditioning was non-functional throughout our stay, which severely impacted our comfort, especially given the health issues within our family. Additionally, there were various maintenance problems, including a non-working TV, fan remotes not working ice machine in fridge not working. Notified owner immediately he sent a guy out who didn’t even know where the condenser was or breakers. Next day sent 2 guys out who said it can’t be fixed condenser shot next day sent another actual AC guy out said condenser shot. Asked for some fans never got them. Text the owner so many times he said what would you like me to do. Left the cabin on our last day and I text the owner asked for a partial refund he ignored me then I told him I would post a review he said he emailed me- never got that then he said he would refund me once the review period expired. Then he told me VRBO had full control of his account and they had to do the refund, I verified with VRBO he could refund me. I told him that and reiterated I would post this review and then he told me don’t antagonize the only person that can help you. Help me I was asking him to be fair So I am writing this because if you are looking for and air conditioned cabin don’t look here and if you want customer service or someone who cares you will not find it here. I have never been treated so poorly.

Family Retreat

Mid December visit. Was looking to bring the family together for some needed rest after a long year of school and work. This cabin was exactly what we needed! Centrally located near multiple mountain towns and outdoor hikes, we were never at a loss for activities. The cabin is fantastic with spectacular views of the river and mountains. Excellent communication and response from the host throughout the entire stay. Already planning when we will return.

Couples Retreat/Friendsgiving 2022

We had an amazing time celebrating Friendsgiving in Jarrod's cabin! Jarrod was very communicative from beginning to end, answering our questions. My only critique (if you can call it that) would be to add emphasis on the description of just how well stocked the kitchen is! Although our party brought EVERY thing we needed to cook our huge Friendsgiving spread and multiple large breakfast spreads, we wouldn't have lacked one bit had we brought none of our own pots/pans/hand mixers/whisks/waffle maker, etc! I can truly say that this was THE best stocked kitchen this self-proclaimed chef has ever had the pleasure to enjoy on vacation! If you can dream it, this cabin's kitchen had it! Towels were plentiful, as were the abundance of games to choose from! Beds were soft and warm allowing for peaceful sleep even when outside temps hit 19 degrees during our trip! The Alexa was a great addition for music, as was the ring light that helped us pose for great photos! All around, our entire party had PLENTY of space to retreat to to enjoy ourselves when we weren't gathered in the living room to enjoy the mountain views while lounging by the fireplace! We will DEFINITELY book again and encourage our friends and family to do the same!!

Best mountain trip ever!

The house is amazing!! Very clean and well stocked kitchen. The game room and all the amenities gave us hours of fun! The swings on the porch overlooking the River are great for family or alone time! This was just what we needed….a place to relax and enjoy our family!!! Highly recommend!!!

Family vacation in the mountains

We spent a week here with 3 adults and 4 children ages 8 to 14. The house is spacious, very comfortable and updated, and is the best equipped property we've ever rented. We cooked several nights, and the kitchen had everything we could possible need. Good quality equipment, etc. The game room was just right for all ages, and we played cards, games, pool, and air hockey every evening. The porches are beautiful, and the hammock was the perfect setting for mom to escape all the boys to read or snooze among the trees. We enjoyed the kayaks and splashing in the river on the property. We met a few neighbors who were welcoming and shared recommendations. The location was perfect for our active family. We went on several wonderful hikes within 30 to 40 minutes, and there are tons more that we couldn't fit in within an hour for every level of hiker. We went to the Nantahala Outdoor Center several times for rafting, ziplines, ropes courses, and more. The town of Franklin is about 20 minutes drive and has a few cute shops and restaurants, and Bryson City is a little further away and offers a few more options. Grocery store is close and had everything we needed. All around a great stay that I would highly recommend. A great time was had by all!
