Our Ranch style home sits on 1.5 acres just 1 mile off Stoutsville boat ramp. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, this home offers openness and privacy.

This vacation home has an open floor plan with a front porch for sitting and back patio for gathering. A large two car garage is a bonus for your vehicle or boat storage. A fire pit is also available for evening enjoyment.

Beautiful property

The GPS took us to the wrong house but the neighbor gave us directions with no guff. House was perfect and love the decor! Clean and great amenities. Not a fan of fabuloso cleaning products but not too overwhelming. Love having plenty of clean towels and linens. Lots of cooking utensils and supplies. Clean and comfortable furniture. Large accessible garage. Just a beautiful home!

Quiet and secluded

This is a great property if you are looking for a quiet private place to spend time with your family. The owners were upfront with any issues we might run into during our stay, in regards to the house. The doors don’t latch well and there are a lot of open outlets so if you have wondering toddlers keep this in mind. Over all it was a very nice stay.

Lovely Labor Day weekend

Great place close to the lake. Nice and quiet in the morning and through the day. Well stocked kitchen. Great host communication!

Amazing Quiet Getaway

Thank you so much for our amazing stay at the Holder House!! We had so much fun! It’s so close to the lake, and the space is amazing. So much room for kiddos to run and play outside! We most definitely hope to be back in the future! Thank you!

Best time!

Holder House was more than I imagined it would be. We had 2 families with kids ranging from 3-15. There was stuff for everyone. The coziness of the home was simply amazing. Will definitely be booking again!

Repeat Visitor!

This was our 3rd stay. We love the peace and quiet. The house is in great shape and spectacularly clean. Close to beaches and Waterzone and anything one might want to do outdoors. Also perfect if you've had a busy day at the lake and just want to be lazy and watch tv. The house has become a July tradition.

Great Spot!

This was a great spot! Property was great, the house was clean and spacious, with plenty of amenities. I was so grateful to find a place that we could bring our dog. Host was very prompt in message. I really appreciated everything!

Thanksgiving in Hannibal

The house was lovely and accomodating with so much room to spread out. Our grandchildren enjoyed the games in the garage. We shared our Thanksgiving dinner at the dining table and played games as well. We watched Christmas movies on the big screen. Our pups enjoyed relaxing on the oversized ottoman! A day trip to Hannibal for Mark Twain's birthday, shopping and a meal were the highlight of our trip! Despite a couple of hiccups, we enjoyed our stay and would recomend the house to others.

The house and location was beautiful! We loved that we could bring our fur babies with us they really enjoyed the huge yard. The house was clean and spacious and we were so excited about the ping pong table!

A Gem at the Lake

This was our 2nd time to stay at Holder House. The house is well kept, the beds are cozy, the kitchen has everything you need, and all It feels like home away from home there. We love going to Spaulding and Indian Creek beaches, Water Zone, and hiking at the park. Not only is it great inside, the property is in great condition and very relaxing to stay there. We live only 35 minutes away and make day trips but there's just something about the house and staying there that makes it more fun. The property owners are quick to respond to questions which is most helpful. Thanks for all you do!

Bad check in

VRBO dropped the ball on this. We were told they would contact us with the key to get in. It’s a certain code to get in the house. 1st off we had bad service where we were at. I tried to contact the manager of the property and no response. She actually got back to me the day we were leaving. 3 days later!!! Even though communication with her was great up until that point. We tried several things and if it wasn’t for the previous visitors forgetting to lock the front door we would of had no choice but to drive 2 hrs back home!!! I feel like it is. VRBO that didn’t communicate all the details. Maybe they didn’t know the code from the manager I don’t know. This should be fixed ASAP so no one else has to go through this.

Good stay for adults or families with older children

Good house. Great location for our purposes. Owners were very responsive to communications& promptly resolved issues. There are only 2 bedrooms in this house, so the beds are arranged with 3 in one room and 6 in the other. There was dog hair on all the floors and it wasn't great for very small children because of the dog hair and lots of decor down low. Also, if you have allergies to scented products, be aware that there are multiple strong scents from air fresheners and laundry products. Aside from that, it was by far the best stocked kitchen I've ever encountered!
