Hoot Owl Cabin sits on a mountainside of 10 wooded acres that offers an authentic mountain cabin experience. Observing deer and other native wildlife is quite common. The property has a covered pavilion, fire pit and outdoor seating, Roku smart TV & WIFI. Hoot Owl Cabin has 1 bedroom with two twin beds, 1 king bed in the main cabin area and 1 full bath that has a 2 person deep Jacuzzi tub that also serves as a stand up shower.
Outside the cabin you'll find a covered pavilion where you can admire the 700 year hold Hoot Owl Tree along with a fire pit with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing campfire....just bring your firewood, marshmallows and hot dogs! A Weber charcoal grill is provided (we do not provide charcoal or lighter fluid) and ask that you use the gravel driveway to grill.
Hoot Owl Cabin is only minutes away from Eureka Springs, Beaver Lake, White River and Thorncrown Chapel. Enjoy many varied activities as you boat on Beaver Lake, float the White River, kayak, hike a trail in the Ozark Mountains, fly fish, mountain bike, climb, or even enjoy community theater and the many other attractions in and around Northwest Arkansas. Take in Eureka Springs for its highly-rated restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, antique shops, vintage clothing and craft shops, parks, natural springs, quirky tours and let's not forget the bars and micro-breweries! If you have time for day trips, check out the nearby towns of Fayetteville (home of the Arkansas Razorbacks), Bentonville (home of the Wal-Mart museum and Crystal Bridges Art Museum (spectacular) or nearby Branson, MO and Table Rock lake. Or you may choose to bring your supplies, never leave the property and just enjoy relaxing or exploring the 10 acres of mountainside. Many guests do just that!!! (Dogs especially love it because they can run off leash!). CRITTERS: We have a regular pest control company that maintains the grounds. As we are located in the forest, please note that bugs may be present on the property.
NATIVE PLANTS AND ANIMALS: This cabin is located in the middle of the Ozark Mountains. As such it is important for potential guests to understand before making a reservation that mother nature and her loving family of flora and fauna may make their presence known including snakes, lizards, deer, dogs, bears, raccoons, spiders, ladybugs, wasps, bees, rabbits, excessive pollen, poison ivy/oak, chiggers, beetles, field mice, ants, cockroaches, squirrels, opossums, flies, walking sticks, coyotes, moths, and butterflies, just to name a few. And, although, the cabin is on strict pest control and cleaning regimen our native flora and fauna may find a way to join you since you are visiting their habitat. We appreciate your understanding! Hunting is prohibited on property. Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the cabin or on the front porch. Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground outside. If any are detected, a $300 fine will be assessed.
