A second floor addition with sweeping ocean views and an additional Communal area, sleeping loft and private office space. Also, in harmony with the sustainable features of the property, there is a salt water pool. There is a private jungle walk where youâll be immersed in nature and amongst the many species that frequent the grounds including monkeys, toucans, sloths and a large variety of tropical birds.
Casa Botanica Villa is 128 sq meters (1,377 sf) of beautifully designed living space. Sitting on an ocean bluff in a very tranquil setting where you can relax, bird-watch, and wake to the calls of howler monkeys â youâll catch a cooling breeze from the decks, and be comfortably away from the nuisances of mosquitos and chitras.
A large private compound including a main house and communal area and a private, independent structure that hosts the master suite with a covered deck. A second floor includes a second communal area was well as a sleeping loft with queen size bed and private office space.
The property was formerly a part of the Botanic Gardens of Bocas del Toro. The 2023 additions to the property are the work of AZ Design Studio whoâs work at La Carolina Resort is a must see experience for architecture buffs visiting Bocas del Toro.

Dear Guests, We are a newly retired professional couple, a published architectural designer/ self appointed curator of fine living and a "I can fix virtually anything" MIT educated electrical engineer, enjoying life through travel. We are avid sailors, often sailing internationally, occasionally offering onboard courses and certifications for those newer to the sport of sailing. On the off season you can often find us relaxing deep in nature on the breezy decks of Casa Botanica, enjoying the tree acrobatics of the howler monkeys, bird watching toucans, parrots and other species, hiking in the mountain jungles or headed to Starfish Beach where you can still see live starfish right on the waters edge! When we are Denver based we enjoy hiking, skiing, organic gardening and time spent hosting family and friends in our beautiful outdoor garden. Inside the main house, Casa Botanica full wall of glass doors expose the view of the ocean, and a spacious, comfortable living space welcomes you to make yourself at home. The large chef inspired kitchen is ideal for entertaining â the central island seats 8! The interior finishes are custom-designed by an award-winning US-based interior designer and capture the playful attitude of this tropical country while embracing elegance and luxury in blues and neutrals â all to Airbnb Plus standards.
The expansive deck boasts views of the propertyâs palm garden and the ocean beyond - youâll hear the soothing sounds of the ocean and the music of the jungle while enjoying outdoor dining or lazy day lounging. Below, stairs lead to a professionally designed garden of the former Botanic Gardens in Bocas del Toro. The deck is our preferred place to take in the rainforest wildlife ( toucans, parrots and howler monkeys), relax with a book, or entertain a group.
Surfers â you can check the swell from the deck! Thereâs also a BBQ on the deck for at-home grilling, or we can arrange a private chef for your stay or special occasion meals.
We have blazing fast internet, plus a desk space just in case you have to check with the office or if youâre on a working trip.
We offer SELF CHECK IN WITH KEYLESS ENTRY for your convenience and safety.
