LAKEFRONT Private Dock Walk to Town 4 Bed Sleep 12

Summary:
Enjoy time in this beautiful historic 4 bedroom lakefront home on West Battle Lake. Take in lake views from the large 4-seasons-room while playing games, watching TV, or just relaxing. Picnic on the front terrace or fish from the private dock. Kayak 'til your heart's desire. Visit Chief Wenonga across the street or hike trails just outside the front door. Roam the property & play outdoor games in the yard. Then at the end of a fun day, take a seat around the campfire and enjoy the sunset.

The Space:
The home is beautiful with over 1.5 acres to use. There is a private dock you can use or swim in the shallow area of the lake next to the dock. There is also a sand beach just a short stroll from the property. The home is within a 2 to 3 block walk from town where you can enjoy some local shopping and grab a bite to eat. You can also rent boats and other watercraft from one of the local rental company. There are 4 bedrooms total, 2 on each side of the home. There is also a queen blow up mattress and two twin blow up mattresses to use if needed.
PARKING- We do park off of the main road but you can also park under the trees off of the road a bit as well. The house is on the main road that goes into town.

Guest Access:
You will have full access to the property with exception of the attic space, that is additional storage that is locked for use of our cleaning staff and private owners. The washer and dryer are located in the basement.

The Neighborhood:
Perfect location! Lakefront on West Battle Lake with 1.5 acres to play in. Battle Lake is a 5600 acre all sports lake. Enjoy a day of fishing for Walleye, Crappie, Musky, Sunfish and Bass right from your own private dock Minutes away from shopping, dining, ice cream parlors and fun in downtown Battle Lake. Close to Glendalough State Park and Lions Park for some more local exploring. The home is located off of the main road that leads into town.

Getting Around:
Town is close enough to walk to if needed. While there you can get something to eat or go shopping in one of the many shops.

Vacation 2025

We really enjoyed the charm and special touches of the cottage. The hosts were easy to communicate with and even went and out and got us a pack and play to use for our son. The cottage was in a great location with plenty of things to do on the property and in downtown. We had a great time during our stay.

We spent five days here at the cabin; this is the second year we stayed here, and we have been very happy with everything, both times. The owners are easy to work with, and the cabin is the perfect size for us ? I totally recommend this place to anybody looking for a nice relaxing time!

Family time at the lake

We had a great time at the lake. The house was big enough for my husband and I, along with our son's, their kids and one of our daughter in law. We have family in the area, so we were able to visit. Play at the lake.

"I do"!

We have stayed here for the past 5 summers; usually a couple different weekends/weeks per year; its typically a group of us; family and friends; I realized just how meaningful this place has been to our family when our oldest told us he would like to propose to his girlfriend there so thats exactly what happened; on the beaitiful sprawling lawn with the lake backdrop; couldnt have been more perfect!! We all ran down and toasted them with sparkling grape juice served in the cute glasses they just happen to have out on a tray:) This place has been wonderful and special to us for many reasons; they are wonderful hosts and we havent had an issue in the years weve stayed here; highly recommend it to anybody that wants to make some lasting memories

Historic Gem!

This home was such a blessing to us! While visiting Battle Lake for our grandmothers funeral, this home was our family retreat and certainly provided what we needed. We had a great time around the fire pit, we enjoyed the lake, played games in the large backyard and watched a magnificent storm over the lake from the enclosed porch. The 4 bedrooms provided adequate places for rest, the kitchen had everything we needed to host family meals and we even had a visit from the neighborhood dog, Chief! Interaction with the owner regarding a few questions were addressed quickly and thoroughly. Highly, highly recommend this property!

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The home/inn is older facility. Plenty of room for us. We had 7 adults. The beach/lake was beautiful. Unfortunately lake is so low. Many steps to get down to lake from house. But if one had to can use city sidewalk to get to the lake. Great location to do or walks up town or around the lake. Many little Chip and Dales ( chipmunks). With all the oak trees. So fun to watch! S’mores under the stars we had great time!

Battle Lake Get Away

Fantastic outdoor space where we enjoyed the large expanse of lawn and both fire pits. The house was well appointed with nice individual spaces to rest and recharge for the next day and it reminded us of summers spent with our grandparents. We enjoyed our “family dinners” around the formal dining table and we competitively played games on the three season porch. We also got to watch the storm roll in from the beautiful porch and although we lost power due to the storm, there were plenty of lanterns and candles available for light. The access to the water was great, the dock had a ladder to the sandy bottomed lake and all the large rocks made for a fun place for the dogs to explore. We spent our days floating on the pontoon carefully watching the depth meter for the sandbars and only got stuck once :) We also had a blast paddling the kayak around the bay and exploring the well kept walking paths with our dogs. Highly recommend this retreat and plan to return for another great adventure!

The house, property and location are fantastic. Communication with the owner was pleasant and courteous. We did have 2 issues that took 2-4 hours to get responses. A fireplace was in the listing but was not functioning.
