Doug was such a kind host! His place was so relaxing, with an amazing view. He really does have every need covered for your stay. We want to come back in the warmer months to enjoy the water. We all loved our stay here!

Cabin and pictures are exactly as described. Clean & plenty of room for a family or grandkids. It has a great bunk room. This gem feels like you are far away everything however town is 10 minutes away. Spent an afternoon climbing rocks to wade in the creek. I think it would be fun even if there wasn't water. One of the best parts is sitting in the screened in porch, it was so peaceful. You can hear the water flowing from the creek. Had every meal on the porch even with it being 90 degrees it was comfortable. There is a fan if it gets to unbearable. Our last day it rained & I wished we were staying a day longer just to sit on the porch & listen to it rain. They have 2 swings, one at the house & one by the creek and we enjoyed both of those. If you are looking for a place to just get away from everything and enjoy nature this is definitely the place for you!!

Very peaceful!!! The pictures did not lie! Easy check-in. I was there by myself quite a bit of the time while the kids were checking into college and I felt totally safe. The sound of the water was awesome. Check out Snapper Shack just ten minutes away in Tishomingo if you like seafood! Would love to visit in the Fall.

Small slice of Heaven

Doug’s Camp was something you would imagine straight out of a book. It is the definition of what you look for in a picture perfect getaway. The host was very polite, attentive, and makes everyone feel at home. We appreciated every minute and look forward to going back!!

Incredible views

Sit in the swing, look at the view, listen to the water and the worries of the world will slip away. The cabin is homey and comfortable with loads of beds. There is a lot of property to explore. The owner is very responsive and helpful. Don't hesitate..book it!

The only complaint we had is that we couldn't stay longer! We were ages 9 to 60 and everyone had a fantastic time and hated to leave! The property manager is wonderful and so very accommodating. If we could give more stars, we would!!

It was a great place to enjoy family and relax. The Wi-Fi didn't work but it was better without it because we got to enjoy each other more. The view was amazing and the kiddos enjoyed swimming in the creek.

Pictures don't do justice!

The driveway to arrive at Camp Doug was beautiful in itself, but after you park and walk around the side of the cabin, the view is just breathtaking. We climbed all over the rocks and even dipped into the running creek to cool off. I enjoyed coffee creekside on the swing and spent the mornings and afternoon birdwatching. The cabin was comfortable and homey. We will definitely go back!

5 STAR CAMP DOUG

Camp Doug is THE best VRBO that I have ever stayed at. Each time I do this I spend days in advance running through the list of things to take and this time I get there and Doug has it all. He even took the time to call me in advance to give me specific instructions for locating the property. Aside from the proper provisions on site being perfect, the entire place was extremely clean. If you want a cabin with comfort with a rugged creek this is your place.

Turning 30

This is an amazing oasis! The cabin is cozy and is stocked with everything you need. The beds were comfy and very clean. The yard is organized and feels like you are in the mountains. The creek looks amazing and the sound of it running can be heard from the enclosed patio. Our kid ages 2,4,9,and 11 had so much fun racing in the long driveway,climbing the rocks, swinging in the swings, and fishing. Myself and my husband enjoyed the tranquility of the place and the hiking around the property as well as roasting snores and fishing.we will definitely be returning.Doug called the night before and was very kind and informative.
