My wife and I stayed at this location for 2 weeks and have both good things to say about it along with some things that were not so good. We were both impressed by the appearance of the property upon entry. We found 'little niceties' in every room including the bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen areas that added a warm welcome as guests. The kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you need including dishes, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils, a cutting board, crock pot, coffee pot, and much more. Plenty of towels, etc. in each of the bathrooms and plenty of bedding including sheets, blankets and pillows.
As seniors, we would both warn any future senior guests that you should be prepared for using stairs as they are necessary for access into the property and getting to the upper bedroom.
My wife's one disappointment was that even though there were 3 tv's in the place, none of them had any signal and the Roku device attached to each was non- functional. Property management was called in to correct the problem but after their departure we still had no signal to any of them. So life without tv for 2 weeks was an aggravation for some.
The beach is easily accessible, just a 5 min. walk away.
Great location if you are looking for very quiet place
We did like the house, it was clean and had everything we needed but it had some things that need to be taken care of, like roaches in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. That would be our biggest complaint. Otherwise nice place very close to the beach.
Beach is nice and big and very quiet but it is not white sand and blue clear water. We were a little disappointed by that since it is on the Gulf Coast and we usually vacation around Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach where the water is very clear.
Closest grocery store is about 10 miles, there is little General Store close by that has bread and eggs and some random things but not enough to have groceries for a week.
The house is nice (besides roaches which I am sure they'll take care of ) , very close to the beach, so if you are looking to escape to a quiet place on the beach and you don't mind cloudy brown water this is great place.
The property is compact, but perfect for two couples or a small family. The house was very clean. Beach access is very convenient for walking and also driving (permit required when driving, which was pricey). Be advised that the beach water clarity is fair, but the fishing good.
The property was perfect for a small group. With one bedroom upstairs and one bedroom downstairs, it created to good private spaces and then had a perfectly sized common area for hanging out. The house is one block from a quiet beach; we would sit on the patio and drink coffee or go on daily beach walks. The house was clean and well set for our group. Huge kudos to the property management company who had a serviceman out in less than an hour when we discovered that the stovetop wasnât working. Definitely recommend.
We wanted to go on a family vacation, but wanted to go somewhere without a ton of people due to COVID-19. This place was perfect for that. A beautiful beach without lots of crowds. House was a great size for my husband, myself and our 1 yr old. Our daughter liked picking up shells on the beach. Locals were super friendly. Good local restaurants with fresh seafood. Just be careful of the hours as most places donât stay open late.
We had a lovely two week stay. Comfortable home. Had everything we needed. Great view of the Gulf on one side and view of a bald eagle family on the other side. Beautiful expansive sandy beach! Close enough to restaurants in Port St Joe & charming Apalachicola.
**2 smallish issues -Second floor gets veeery warm when using heat. And grill did it work.
Property is as advertised. Small but sleeps 4 comfortably. Nice location between Port St. Joe and Apilachicola. Beach access is very close. Beaches were not crowded at all March 13-20, very relaxing vacation.
The house worked perfectly. Clean, private, well furnished and 1 sandy block from the beach. Just what we were looking for. One note is that the house is very vertical. If you donât do stairs....
Great place, view. Could use more dishes, as in big bowls. Tv in the downstairs bedroom.
Need a little maintenance. The upper deck a few boards needs to be replaced. The 2nd step from the bottom steps coming into the house needs to be replaces. One of the rails up top on the deck needs to be replaced. Very easy fix. Will be staying again soon. Thanks for a great weekend.
