A gem in the woods! If you are looking for a comfortable place to relax this is the place. If you like to fish, you are minutes away from some of the best Walleye fishing in the state. This cabin has everything you will need for a restful stay. Hosts are very responsive. Clean and decorated well. Screened in porch is the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Hoping to be back soon!
Perfect little cabin for an amazing getaway! Would definitely go back! Close to the lake and resorts. Most things needed for a weekend trip was provided, kitchen was stocked with more then i thought. Overall a great property!!
Great place, great host, everything you need plus. Would highly recommend. Very isolated in the woods if thatâs what you are looking for, wish it was closer to Red Lake resorts but worked out good.
It's a beautiful cabin on a beautiful piece of land. I would recommend this place to anyone! If it's early spring, make sure you have 4 wheel drive, the dirt roads can get sloppy. The owner made check in and check out a breeze.
The cabin was very clean, with a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the wood stove quite a bit, and the mud room was very convenient for our winter gear. The proximity to Big Bog was great, too.
The cabin was clean and nicely appointed. I didn't want for anything while there. Everything was comfortable and really you can't beat the amenities for how rural it is (AC was cold, wifi was fast, TVs were big). I would recommend bringing drinking water as noted in the description.
The location is great too! Very quiet roads for the last hour; note it's gravel the last 20ish miles into the site though they were doing construction to pave parts so that may change soon. It's very dark so star gazing was wonderful the one night it wasn't cloudy. Even if you're not familiar with the area this is a good home base with many parks and outdoor activities within a 30-60min drive and of course the lake is just a short walk.
Communication was easy and checkin' was flawless. I would definitely stay again to get away.
Overall 5/5 we loved our stay! I put 4/5 for cleanliness and communication. I didn't have anything pressing to ask the host, but he did not respond during our stay - which was no problem for us. For cleanliness I'm assuming it hasn't been cleaned since the last time someone was there, which is also okay but man those ladybugs love to come inside for the fall! Our house has the same issue so I know it's not too manageable. The yard had a lot of fallen leaves making it hard to pick up after our dogs. Luckily it was nice enough outside to walk around for awhile looking each day. This is being picky of course, we loved our stay. We put the pack-n-play in the main bedroom for our toddler and used the loft upstairs ourselves. As small and cozy as the cabin is it's well built with that door closed you couldn't hear the sound machine! I brought some kitchen appliances, but I was surprised by how much he had available - wouldn't have to bring cookware if you didn't want to! We would love to come back again!
The cabin was in the country, secluded and perfect if you are looking for privacy. It was clean, the wifi worked great and it was just a short drive to the water. We would definetly stay again. Great property!
We really enjoyed this nice cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our six year old daughter had fun sleeping in the loft room and swimming at the Waskish beach not too far away. We were able to stay cool even though it was 95 degrees. Would definitely stay again.
My name is joshua and I am from Jacksonville, FL. I am active duty in the United States Coast Guard and was stationed in Duluth. I fell in love with MN and all of its outdoor activities especially ice fishing. The area a kelliher grabbed me with its rugged and rural location and being so close to my favorite lake, Upper RED!
When I was stationed in Duluth I fell in love with Ice fishing and went to red lake all the time. When going I always noticed there wasnât many places to stay and always said I would find me something to enjoy. By finding this cabin I have decided to offer it to other people who may struggle to find something in this rural area to enjoy.
I fell in love with this cabin with the seclusion on the 4.5 acres. There are a few homes around but mostly quite and nothing but nature. It is a joy to sit on the porch in the morning during the spring and summer
