Our 3 BR / 2 Bath home is centrally located on the island giving you a break from the downtown hustle and bustle but close enough to get there in just a few minutes.
We pride our house as being focused on family and small group vacations for all around "enjoyment of life" guests. This is not a "party" house as we cherish our neighbors and also have a small cottage on the property to host guests.
We donât mind if you are here to enjoy yourselves, which we encourage, but we believe our neighbors and other guests should enjoy your vacation as much as you do.
The central location brings you close to all the attractions including: the Island Beaches (1st Beach/Eastons Beach; 2nd Beach/Sachuest Beach & 3rd Beach), Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, Historic Cliff Walk & Mansions, Downtown Newport, Norman Bird Sanctuary and many other local attractions.
Other attractions such as Newport Vineyard/Taproot Brewing Co. and the Newport Polo Grounds are just a 1/2 mile and 1.5 miles up the road respectively.
Our backyard, lined with tall pines and perimeter shrubs, gives you a feeling of being in the country wilderness and offers a nice private feeling from our neighbors.
This was one of my very favorite vacation properties. The host(s) paid close attention to detail to make our stay super comfortable - nice linens, well stocked kitchen, and comfortable furniture/beds. The back patio and grill were an added bonus. I will definitely stay here again if I am ever back in Newport, and I highly recommend this property to anyone.
Brian was a great host. He was very communicative and even stopped by to introduce himself. We had a great time in Newport and the home was perfectly located for everything we wanted to get done!
Group of old friends getting together for a long weekend. We enjoyed the house - it was a good space for us to relax and catch up. Well located for a short drive into Newport proper as well as some other fun places off the beaten path.
The house was perfect for our family. Clean, bright and cheery with all the amenities you would need..The private backyard was perfect for our lobster boil dinner. Brian was very easy to to communicate with and available for if needed. The only reason I gave the location 4 stars is because itâs on a Main road. But you know that before you rent and itâs surprisingly quiet!
Hello! Jen and I love to travel and we stay at Airbnb's any chance we can. I am a native Islander who has "escaped" to a couple different states in the past, but have always found Aquidneck Island to be my home. A former teacher and 20 year fitness business owner, I now remodel homes. Hopefully you see some of my work during your stay.
Jen is a "native" coming from Little Compton RI, just over the Sakonnet River. She is the administrator of a local nursing home taking care of our Seniors in the golden years.
We don't live on the property but just about a mile down the road in my childhood home so in the event you need anything, I am generally just a text message away.
This property I feel is unique due to its grounds as the back yard is lined by huge red cedars that give you a feeling of being in the wilderness. The renovated house( in 2021) is cozy and has been enjoyed by a few families as we are just starting to share it for a full season.
We also have a cottage on the property that we shared last summer (2021) and the feedback we got from everyone was how close it was to everything...downtown Newport, beaches etc but you aren't RIGHT in the thick of it so you can "escape" it also.
Unique benefits may be that I worked in the hospitality and food industry for close to 30 years. That said, I truly enjoy playing "concierge" and sharing any local knowledge I have with you, our guests.
