Sunny site located on a cliff above the sparkling Seward lagoon, the newly renovated lock off apt enjoys incredible panoramic bay and mountain views, private and peaceful accommodations with high end finishes and furnishings. Custom modern kitchen with Hertco cabinets, quartz countertops,, hardwood flooring, and top of the line appliances, Miele, Bosch, Kohler, etc. There is a cooktop and a new top of the line drawer microwave for baking. New world class memory foam mattresses in both the stylish new bedroom and the pull out full size sofa bed in the living room. The bedroom has a European down comforter, as well as a down topper and high thread count linens. Two new large flat screen TVs, a Bose Bluetooth speaker for music, fully equipped kitchen, wireless internet. This "smartly furnished" 650 square foot walk-out lower level aptis located in an area of beautiful homes. Light pours in the windows, with views to the majestic mountains including Mount Alice . Located on a dramatic cliff above the lagoon you will enjoy a birds eye view of the town of Seward and Boat Harbor filled with the activity of colorful sailboats and commercial work boats. It is within walking distance of downtown and the boat harbor. Seward's fine restaurants and unique shops are waiting for you to explore. 1st and 2nd lake hiking trails are right outside the door. This new townhome apt has private access and is the definition of mountain elegance. A perfect spot for 2 to enjoy a relaxing vacation, special occasion, or romantic weekend getaway.

Don't look any further.....You must stay here!!!

This was the best lodging during our week long trip in Alaska. We enjoyed the location, sparkling clean apartment, the views and the friendliness of the owners. We hope to return and stay there again!!!!

Perfect Get Away

This apartment was the cleanest rental we have ever been in. It was newly renovated, had an efficient layout and was perfectly stocked. It is close to town, yet private and quiet. Can we give more than five stars???

Our stay at Dean and Susan's beautiful Seward apartment could not have been more enjoyable. The location is perfect, quiet but very convenient to everything Seward has to offer. The decor is magazine-worthy and every amenity is available. The apartment is very well laid out, perfectly suited for a couple. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the breathtaking views at the rear. In summary, we'd love to come back some day and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a perfect place to stay in Seward.

Beautiful Seward Stay

Beautiful views from this 1 bedroom modern apartment. Luxury plus with modern updated appliances and furnishings. Unfortunately our weather was not so good so it dimished the beautiful view but once the sun peeked out for the very limited time the views were great.

Property was lovely and well equipped but we had a negative experience with the housekeeper, and as a result, the landlord. We spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to get in touch with taxis to leave and were 30 min late checking out as a result. We were charged for an hour delay, along with an additional 30 minutes of cleaning, which seems punitive based on our interactions with the housekeeper. We slept in the bed and took one shower each in the property so do not believe an extra 30 minutes was necessary. After being rude initially when she arrived and we were not ready, the housekeeper ultimately offered to give us a ride - for twice the going rate. We paid it happily and appreciated the offer but she still made disparaging comments about us to the landlord. Due to these issues, we would not stay here again. If you choose to do so, be prepared for inflexible "rules" and rent a car regardless of what anyone tells you.

We loved our stay in Seward. Susan's apartment was top notch! It was in a great location with a view.The patio set was a nice place to sit and relax with a glass of wine after a full day of exploring the area.

Excellent apartment especially for two people. Very nicely furnished and well chosen amenities. Perfect place to recharge after a day of enjoying Alaska outdoors or fishing. Some good food places in town, too.

This is an absolutely beautiful, well-appointed, luxury apartment with beautiful views of the Seward Harbor. The owner was very easy to work with and offered information on things to see and do in Seward. Great place!

Seward Apartment

We loved our stay in Susan's Seward home. It was so clean and well maintained. We used the kitchen to cook and had everything we needed. I slept on the sofa bed and it was very comfortable - felt just like a regular bed. We also loved the hiking trail right out the front door. Check in was a breeze and communication with Susan was great. Highly recommend!

We loved our Seward “Pied-a-terre”

Probably one of the nicest, well appointed homes we’ve stayed in via VRBO. Clearly the owner has taken such care in “curating” this apartment. Beautifully decorated, all the essentials provided for a comfortable stay and the bedroom, perfection. The mattress, bedding ultimate comfort after a long day of Seward activities. Simply a lovely home that we look forward to staying at in the years head. Thank you very much..

Stayed here two nights, and the property was excellent. Very clean, new apartment with great amenities. Communication was great with the host, Susan. Finding the place, checking in and out was a breeze. It was a perfect place to stay for the weekend. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed staying here. The hide-away bed was comfortable. And I appreciated the brown binder with all the information & suggestion. The entire place was beautiful. I got some ideas for my house-like the heated seat bidet & the light. :-) As I mentioned I tried to get in on the 10th but waited too long to make the reservation and it was no longer available. So I changed our day of travel just to stay here and the place did not disappoint!

To those who might temper expectations around what an Alaska small town VRBO might look like, you would be misguided to do so with the VRBO at 1125 Cliff View Place in Seward. The place is gorgeous. It was clean and modern, offering a great view of the nearby lagoon, Seward boat harbor, and mountains of Resurrection Bay. If you are in town and in need of a place to stay, you can’t go wrong with this one.

High up!

We loved how we overlooked Seward. You could see our blue building as we went out on a whale cruise. The washer-dryer combo was perfect for cleaning our clothes before getting on the Holland America cruise.

A great escape!

We enjoyed our stay. The flat is perfect for a couple. It has a well-equipped kitchen, comfie couch, plush bedding, a bidet toilet, and a wonderful view from the bed. The neighborhood is quiet and includes a short hiking trail around 2 hidden lakes that leads you downtown. Nothing is far away in Seward, so the flat is an easy drive to groceries, craft beer, and wonderful hiking...don't miss Tonsina, Mount Marathon, and the Exit Glacier/Harding Icefield hikes.

Dean was born and raised in Seward and met his wife Susan in 1978 in Alaska. They settled in Seward in 1982 after they were married. They divide their time between Alaska and Colorado and spend their summers commercial fishing on their salmon seiner in Alaska . In 2017 they purchased and over several years fully renovated Dean's mother's clifftop townhome.
Dean and Susan own another lovely Vrbo property which is # 171435 in Breckenridge Colorado which they have successfully operated for 14 years. They have traveled extensively and enjoy meeting and hosting guests from various parts of the world. They are happy to share local tips and will do everything they can to make your stay a memorable one.

This property is very unique as the townhome is in the middle of Seward everything within walking distance and the views are panoramic taking in both the mountain range with Mount Alice directly in front and the enchanting Resurrection Bay with its abundant sea life including spouting whales, playful seals, sea lions and plentiful birdlife. Eagles are a common sight as well as salmon jumping. The pristine bay, flowing rivers, and its untouched surrounds are breathtakingly beautiful and offer both a world class fisher and hunters paradise.
